I called and asked if I could come in and get stitched up from a gash I received on my wrist at work. They told me come on in, the staff were very polite and professional. The doctor cleaned the wound, stitched me up and I was out the door back to work. Very professional, highly recommended!

Come in for a serious medical issue? Maybe a lil plastic surgery will lift your spirits!

DO NOT GO HERE I was a new patient and my insurance brought me here. Would give no stars if possible. When I arrived, the clerk at the front desk and the nurse were very kind but the physician was terrible. She was late and when she came in she did not want to hear a word from me. I had an ear infection in my right ear a couple weeks ago and today I came in with an infection in my left ear. The physician tried to prescribe me the same ear drops I had treated the right ear with even though I told her they did not work on the left. I had tried them for three days before coming into urgent care because I can't afford to be here twice in one month! I had to force this physician to listen to me and could feel tension building between us. She did not want to help me at all and I was the first patient of the day. That says a lot! At the end of my visit, the front desk claimed to not know the last name of the physician who saw me which is a bit unsettling. All they would tell me is that her name is Christina V. I left not knowing what is wrong with my ear and with a prescription for two more eardrops they want me to try. I'm an insured paying customer and this visit was not worth the $110 "copay" at all. I am SO tired of the health "care" we have to deal with in Los Angeles! Before anyone jumps to the conclusion that I am solely relying on urgent care, please know that I had an appointment to see an ENT before this visit but due to unforseen circumstances I had to bring myself here once again. Bonus picture of an ad which they have all over the office. It was a red flag that I unfortunately couldn't afford to avoid because of the pain I'm enduring, and I am expected back at work today.

Wasn't even closed yet, but they denied my daughter service

First, let me say this place was amazingly clean, and even had refreshments in waiting area. The young lady at the counter was friendly and professional. You hand them your ID and health insurance card... and the rest is done on your phone.. so easy!!! I don't feel the wait was very long, especially for a weekend at an urgent care. I was seen rather quickly and my entire visit, including X-rays, results, medications and paperwork was just over an hour. I think I take longer at my regular doctor sometimes!!! Everyone was professional, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The doctor explained everything to me, they gave me some shots to get thru the day... and I think this was an amazing experience! Highly recommend and will definitely use them again.

Unfortunately, 2 days after visiting, my experience left me frustrated and scratching my head. My main complaint is I was prescribed fluoroquinolone antibiotics (Cipro) for a sting ray sting, without any mention about the well documented risks associated with lasting tendon rupture and collagen matrix disruption. It was only once I'd done my research that I had to call to see if we can switch. One of the PA's (Paula, also exceptional) took my call and even said she was glad that I caught that and did not understand why I was prescribed Cipro when there are much safer alternatives out there. When I had gone in, I was also given a steroid shot to help with inflammation and left in the room for some time. I started to get quite nauseous and felt close to fainting. I had to step outside and call for someone, just to be told "yeah this happens often, forgot to warn you" and "you beat me to checking in on you." What's worse is I came to find out combining fluoroquinolones with corticosteroids (steroid shots) have been documented to a FOURTEEN (14!) FOLD increased risk of tendinopathy and tendon rupture (D. Baggio, M.R. Andana-Rajah, 2021). Why on earth would you combine a fluoroquinolone and corticosteroids? If there are safer antibiotic steroids, why fluoroquinolone alone? The whole experience just feels medically untrained or professionally careless. I'm completely bewildered, and quite frustrated.

Health care has truly become a scam…read more I brought my 11-year-old son in after he injured his ankle at school. The school nurse suspected a possible sprain or fracture, so I went straight to this urgent care hoping they could quickly assess him and take an X-ray if needed. While the front desk was initially polite and accommodating, they refused to see my son unless I paid $200 upfront toward his deductible. The problem is they had no idea what level of care he would actually need. No exam had been done, no imaging ordered, and no services had been determined. It could have been a simple assessment or something more serious. When I asked them to bill my insurance and send me a bill after the claim was processed, they refused. They insisted payment MUST be made before a provider would even evaluate him. In other words, they were denying care to a child with an acute injury unless I FORCIBLY paid an arbitrary amount upfront for services they themselves could not yet define. I have excellent PPO insurance and have never experienced anything like this. Urgent care facilities bill insurance and reconcile the deductible after the claim is processed. Because of this policy, we had to leave and seek care elsewhere while my son was in pain. I will be filing formal complaints with the following agencies against their unlawful practice: * California Department of Managed Health Care * California Department of Insurance * California Attorney General's Office (Consumer Protection) * California Department of Consumer Affairs Patients should know what to expect before coming here. If you are not prepared to pay an ESTIMATED deductible upfront, you WILL be DENIED CARE before a provider even evaluates you.

I opened the door and to my surprise it was just me and the Healthcare admin in the front. From the time I walked in until the time I walked out I was treated with kindness and professionalism. I was in and out within an hour and they did X-RAYS! No the staff are not friendly but they know how to do their job, and I will take a person who knows how to do their job over talkative person who doesn't want to work ANY DAY! Ok. no they don't have actual MED. OR DR. available, but honestly has anybody been to other medical companies? It's very rare that a doctor is going to see you in Urgent Care. It's 2026! PA's and/or nurse practitioners are what's these companies say our money can afford. Anyways, my PA was great. She listened to my story, and we both looked over the X-Rays, and both agreed on next steps. This was my first experience, and I hope each experience after this will go just as well.

Dear Yelp Diary,…read more PART 1: About to hit the two hour mark of sitting in this waiting room. Registration was quick and easy (at least if you're text-savvy), but the efficiency was just a deception. When I came in, there were 6 of us waiting. They line seemed to be going smoothly with about a ten minute wait between people leaving the waiting room, until suddenly it stopped. I've been waiting in the 1 position on "Next" screen for over half an hour. Did they all leave for brunch? I've seen patients walk out, but no names being called. There's a dude with an awful wheezing cough sitting across the room, snoring. An older dude watching super loud Fox News on his phone. A toddler throwing a huge fit because it's taking too long; girl, I don't blame you. This place is a purgatory. I just need antibiotics and a doctor's note, dude. -- PART 2: Okay, but like for real, the nurse that did the intake was super down to earth and Dr. Mike was the sweetest. Was it worth the wait? Not certain. But I did feel that despite the agonizing wait that I was well taken care of.

The Exer app gave us a status of where we were in the queue while we waited. Starting out, there were several patients in front of us, and understood we needed to wait our turn. We watched as we moved up to be the "next" patient, at which point there were 4 patients behind us. We then watched as every single one of the patients that were behind get called in to be seen before us. We ended up waiting 1.5 hours, and were the last people to be seen before closing. Not sure if they do not honor patients in the order they come in. If it's a 'judgement call' on what may *seem* worse, for the record, it turned out my infection was working its way up my arm in a red streak toward my lymph nodes - a condition that needs immediate care to avoid sepsis. So their dismissal of my injury was clearly not well thought out. Did not give zero stars because once I finally got help, the doctor quickly realized the danger and gave me an antibiotic shot, and called in an prescription so it could be started asap as well.

The waiting room looked like a typical waiting room area. Once called in and taken thru the doors...this place was amazing. It looked like an emergency room at any major hospital. All the rooms had beds. They have X-rays, CT scans and MRI machines. I saw NP Courtney Rompel. She was as thorough, skilled and experienced as any Internist I have seen. She was very proactive and was able to address all my medical needs. You are a rock star NP Rompel! I was so appreciative for her concern, care and bedside manner. She even noticed I had some wax build-up in my ear. I can't remember the last time my ENT looked in my ear. My ear was subsequently flushed by the great technician on duty assisting NP Rompel. Side Bar: A few days later I was having an issue with some antibiotics I got at CVS (on the same property). The medication was cracked and disintegrating. CVS refused to exchange the medication without a new prescription. I wish I was kidding but I am not. So back I go to the urgent care and they immediately contacted CVS for replacement medication, without hesitation. I was so grateful for for the treatment I received by NP Rompel, the responsiveness for the medication re-do request, and just in totality an overall fabulous experience. I am on the mend thanks to all the great staff at Continuem Urgent Care! With gratitude!

It made me wonder would she treat a non-minority the same way she treated me. I understand they have their own limitations, but to be treated so nonchalantly with lack of compassion is the upsetting part. Are bedside manners nonexistent now? I understand people have their off days, but this was completely unacceptable. Maybe consider another field if helping people doesn't bring you any sense of fulfillment.
