I'm not sure why this place gets such bad reviews, but I've been coming here for years and have always gotten great service. The NP's and doc here are caring, try their best to help you, sometimes going beyond what my regular doc's do for me. Yes, sometimes you have to wait but that's expected when you get medical help. The front of the desk people have always been helpful and courteous, never had a problem. I always leave feeling cared for. I'm grateful this place is still running, I would recommend this Urgent Care to anyone. You might have to wait for parking to free up because the free spots across the way can be taken up but most of the time it's not that bad! I think you might be able to get validation if you park in the lot, but I can't remember. Ask before you park in there! read more

I am sad to see this place has a low rating because my experience was so positive and wish everyone on here had one like me. This urgent care office was seriously so great to me. Even after finding out I hadn't met my deductible and had to pay more than I was prepared for I am not even upset anymore. The front desk ladies treated me kindly and got me in quickly. I was lucky enough to see Dr. Allen in person and man, what a blessing it turned out to be. He is such an excellent doctor. He listened to me and taught me more about the issue I came in for and on prevention. I didn't feel rushed, I felt heard, and I felt better about my situation. The place is clean and the staff is nice. We waited for two and half hours but it's better than going to the ER. The medical assistant was by herself but she got all of us checked the visit is through face time with a doctor. If you have patience I recommend to go. The equipment is extremely outdated, they don't even give discharge instructions or information after the visit. I was very upset with their services when it came to denying me care when I have private insurance! They said with private insurance, you can't visit twice in one week even if symptoms are worsening or has not gotten better! That's insane! The only urgent care I've gone to that's pulled that stunt. Also, when I went to give a urine sample, someone else's urine was in the restroom! Very gross! You put your urine in a table in which can be mixed up with someone else's. This office needs to do a better job of educating their staff on Medi-Cal. Was told I needed to pay $100 because supposedly my daughter had a share of cost. I am fully aware of the SOC that I have but if you look at the aid code chart from DHCS themselves, it shows she has full-scope. So they would've charged me for no reason. I almost stayed because it was my last resort as her primary doctor was not available today. Will not be back unfortunately. This place is the worst urgent care I've ever been to. The doctor isn't even on staff very often so I waited 2.5 hours for him to get there. When Dr.Allen finally arrived he told me I needed two courses of antibiotics and I could purchase the first one through him and have the second one called into a pharmacy closer to home. I've reached out to his office 4 times and sent him an email another time with ZERO response. I've now been sick for 3 weeks straight with no answer. I would have been better off going to the ER. I would strongly suggest that nobody come here. They don't have an X-ray machine and I saw them turn away a guy with a broken leg. How terrible. Will never ever come back. Amazing experience. Today was my second time here as the first round of antibiotics didn't completely work. Nurse practitioner Thyssen was absolutely amazing. She is very caring, gentle and genuinely cares for your well being. She takes the time to talk to you to diagnose you properly. She made me feel confident with my choice to go to this urgent care and I wouldn't hesitate to bring me child here. Nurse Crystal made me feel very comfortable. She made me feel as though we were friends and I wasn't just another patient. She took the time to listen to my questions and seemed to genuinely care as well. I understand normal wait times in a doctor's office and I expect some wait no matter what time I arrive. However, I DONT understand over a 1.5 hour wait when there is only one other patient in the waiting room and no one else is being seen. This place is so horribly managed that there was a 20 minute spam during which the receptionist left the office and there was no sign of any other human presence. Will never return. This urgent care was great and made me feel very comfortable I got seen very quickly as I came in with chest pain so it was great to have been seen so quickly and ease my nerves from pain jas was very great and had amazing communication with me to assure I was in great hands and explained everything that was going to be done. I'm not sure why they call this place urgent care I waited 5 hours to see a doctor for my eye infection. Every time I went and asked how long. they told me another hour. they have people in the office that dosent even have a clue what there doing. stay away from this place you might never see a doctor. if your real sick go to the emergency your life is to imporant. the only thing that they won't is for you to fill out papers so they can collect free money easy money. Seriously, this was a quack job. I will never, and I mean never go here again. I will tell every know not to go here and and one who will listen. This was the worst so called "medical exam" I have ever experienced. I do not believe the person examining me, even had a license to do so, they were so incompetent. I went in after my normal health care partners urgent care closed early and I was having sever asthma and trouble breathing. The so called medical professional came in to ask me questions about allergies, why I was there....the routine. Then received a phone call on her cell and excused herself,said she would be right back in. 13 min. Later I opened the door to my room to look out to see wtf was going on. No one in sight. Finally the receptionist came to ask me if I needed help. I explained to her the dr left and never came back. She came back in 2 min later with a cup for a urine exam, a diabetes blood sugar test and told me she was gonna give me a ekg. I was like are you kidding me? What does my urine have to do with me not breathing? By the way it didn't even have a lid to cover the specimen. Then I told her I am not a diabetic so what does my blood sugar have to do with this exam? The poor receptionist! I mean she heard me vent. I told her breathlessly........ you want me to take all these tests and the doctor has not even used her Freakin stethoscope to listen to my lungs and breath sounds?? She apologized and said she would go ask why these tests were necessary. The doctor came back in to tell me they cannot see the inside so these tests were necessary, she must have been thinking she was dealing with a 12 year old. She proceeded to give me the old neurological test of putty chin my test, looking left and right, pushing against her hand with my arms and legs before I aid are you gonna listen to my lungs?? Needless to say, I gave them an ear full after they said they couldn't do anything for me until I had the ekg and blood sugar test. So you want a person who cannot breath, lay flat on a table to take a test. Can u give me a breathing treatment or steroid shot or something first?? No, well ok I'm out of here. ***** they seriously want to bill your insurance for unnecessary tests that are easy enough to do with non medical professionals, or at least a can level type of professional. Wow ! How naive of me to not read the reviews before I came to this place but I see that my view is the same as everyone else and I thought I would throw my two cents into the pot. To start, I was referred here by another incompetent practice *cough* Western Hand Center *cough*...I walked up to the counter where I greeted the nurse with a warm "Hello" and all I got back in return was a blank stare..whatever, it was early and I'm not here to make friends. I filled out the provided paperwork and proceeded to pay the $35 copay... I then went to the back and waited for the doctor, mind you in the ONLY person in here and I had to wait forever. When he arrived I told him that I had a laceration on my left hand that needed surgical stitching to which he replied.. "We don't do that here"... "I'm not a hand surgeon, Why did they send you here" Um I don't know...you tell me ! At this point I'm beyond frustrated after dealing with Western Hand Center for 2 hours I'm now highly confused as to why they sent me here knowing they don't deal with Orthopedic surgery. I demand my money back as I didn't need a diagnosis I NEED A SURGEON ! The doctor and nurse then proceed to tell me they can help me out and that they just need to get ahold of Dr.Allen to refer me to an Orthopedic surgeon.. So I leave and I wait....and wait....and wait...FINALLY, I call back and a man answers the phone and I tell him about the situation and he then says they are still working on it and that they'll call me back in an hour to which I then go into detail about getting my money back and then his tone gets real rude and defensive. He explains that they are doing everything they can and he can't believe that I would be asking for my money back and then rudely hangs up. Did I ever hear back from them ? Nope and I found my own Orthopedic surgeon after a couple of phone calls on my end. TERRIBLE. GARBAGE. TACKY... A few words to describe the business practice of this god awful place. Waited 2 HOURS and I arrived 10 minutes before their posted time 9-2. BUT wait! It gets worse! Their hours say 9-2 BUT the dr. Won't arrive until AFTER 10!!! I love Dr. Eugene and the rest of the staff, I've been coming here for over 2 years, I love how they have medicine on site, so makes it easier to get prescriptions instead of having to go to the pharmacy! My insurance told me to go here an when we got there they turned me away.they need to get there stuff together. They wanted to charge me extra when I have insurance. My co pays are 15 dollars. Horrible urgent care ever been to. I don't know why they did not close down yet due to unprofessional and rude. The PA/NP I saw did not do anything beside take a look. Medical Assistant (MA) /Nurse is ok but so rude and unwelcome. While I was waiting, there is a patient came in and ask if they can do Xray. On the website they stated they do have it. The MA did not answer the patient but shook her head as a No. The patient upset and left. I came at 10am but did not get to take in until 11am and then PA/NP Thyssen came in. She did not even introduce herself as a NP or PA or her name. I saw her name on the prescription. She like a robot, apologized for being late, take too long and her hands are cold. I came for my implant site infection check, not for physical exam. She done all unneccessary exams, and the most important is my implant site, she ask MA to came in and took a look at it, and it is actually still have a gauge on, so basially there is nothing to see. The implant site is swollen, red, itchy, and inflammed (hot). The funny thing is they using IPAD to take notes, which is taking forever and I have to repeat information over and over again. I told her none of the NSAID are work for me because I have allergies with it. Tylenol are not working for my pain, I need something else for inflammatory such as Oxycodone for like 2 days. I am not be able to go to work for 2 days, and I will see my primary care/the physician done the procedure for follow up in 2 days. She only wrote 1 day for my day off and prescribed me tylenol again. I was late for my other appointment at 12. It took 2 hours for me to be there for her to take a look and prescribed me tylenol, which I have a whole bottel at home. This place need to shut down and the PA and MA need to go back to training for quality of service and quality of care. The Doctor whom opened this place need to manage his staffs better because they are horrible. You guys charge our money and Insurance for doing nothing, this is called FRAUD. read more

The doctor did not even introduce himself and had pretty much zero bedside manner, just straight to the point and sat down and wrote on the paperwork for about 4 awkward silent minutes! I just had a sinus infections, pretty basic, so I can't really say much on the knowledge of the doctor... They didn't take my height or weight just asked me if I knew it, which was odd since I thought that was standard procedures, especially for a new patient. Yeah the wait time is long sand they are not the most talkative people in the world but it IS urgent care so of course the wait is long. The first time I went here I had horrible neck pain and an amazing black woman helped me and she was by far the best doctor I have had in my life, i wish i could remember her name. The staff is very friendly, but extremely slow. My wife and I were there for over 5 hours. They don't prescribe narcotics, so of course everything isn't as strong as needed when you have a bronchial infection. They definitely need more staff and less locations so they can get you in and out. After receiving the medicines that were prescribed she was still up all night coughing. So now we are on our way to the emergency room to hopefully have better luck there. read more

Like most of the other reviews this place is under par. I've been two times now. I got to the office right at 9am and was the first patient. I waited in the office until 1030. I asked the med techs what the hold up was and they told me that even though they open at 9 the doctor doesn't come in until 10 and on this day the doctor was running late. The first time I came in I saw Dr. Eugene and even though he was late I thought he was very personable and efficient. I came in with a very bad cold and I left with antibiotics. I liked his doctor style and he was also very informative. Second time I came in I saw an older Asian doctor (can't remember his name) and my experience was HORRIBLE. As soon as the doctor came in he told me what I had, without him checking my lungs or ears. I asked him how he knew I had the flu without checking me and his response was 'did you take biology class?', I cannot believe how rude that was! he also told me 'everyone' has it. He then told me he wasn't going to give me antibiotics. I told him that I've been around a lot of sick people (I work as an EMT) and that I felt absolutely horrible. He continued to argue with me and then he finally checked my ears. I told him I've had a lot of pain in one of my ears and he told me the antibiotics would help... Ummm he just said he wasn't going to issue it! Anyways he never checked my lungs! He told me he wanted me to rest and take 3 days off work! Lol. Worst place ever my husband came in for knee pain 10/9/17 did x-rays same day it's 10/17/17 they are still giving us the run around on the x-ray results that the doctor is out sick, that the tech is not in and today that the doctor is not in, that tomorrow they will give me the results over a week, we need these results for our doctors office for his disability forms, this is there worst place ever do not come hear, I should have seen all the bad reviews on this place never again.... read more

Do not ever go here. Even with my PPO insurance coverage, they wanted to bill my insurance, then charge ME additional for some shot, and for the prescription which is ALL covered by my insurance.
