love this school it is the best! I learned a lot and am more experienced in life. You should totally give RCS a chance!

An amazing school, high curriculum standards, no kids are left behind all while helping kids grow a personal relationship with god

Our youngest started this year and it has been the best decision! He is learning so much and went from struggling and hating math at the public school to loving it! RCS is doing an excellent job of managing in person school during COVID. They teach faith, kindness, respect, work ethic and academics. Wish all kids had access to this education. read more

We have had both our children attend this school, grades K-8 and K-6 respectively. Without a doubt,the education received at RCS is far superior than anything available within the local public school district. In addition, the biblical focus and values taught here would have to place the school near the top when comparing similar local private schools. Parental involvement is strongly encouraged, with many avenues for parents to get involved and work along side the teachers. We have always found the communication between parents, teachers, leadership, etc. to be open and encouraged. When there have been struggles (with grades, other kids, as there always will be at any school) we never had any issues being able to work out concerns and resolve problems immediately and satisfactorily. The various field trips, camps, retreats, sports programs and projects are all incredible. RCS has by far provided the best experience I could imagine for my family, and am thankful for the opportunities this school has provided! read more

I went/was forced to go to this school for 12 years because my dad worked with the printing at that church which was tied in with the school, so tuition was discounted for us. For all the 12 years ive experienced, it has been a discriminating experience. Bullying with 0 help from adults leading them to victim blame me in the later years (5th grade and on). And during all this time I had autism which made things so much more complicated and hurtful. I got called retard, dumb, and was treated horribly not just by my peers but teachers and faculty as well. I was grabbed, smacked, and other hands on by so many adults thinking they are allowed to physically control me like i'm some toy to mess with when all they could do is just say something to me. They expect students, when bullied, to just give into defeat on so many scenarios and are very hypocritical with their actions compared to their belief they use to barrier themselves from confict. If you have a child with either a disability or a neurological disorder, do not bring them to this school, your better off being at a public school than this one. They do not tolerate kids with anxiety and fears thinking its bad behavior and never comforts them. Another thing to touch on, this school may be known as a christian school, most have shown 0 respect for parents and kids who dont go to church and thinks its ok to pressure their beliefs into other people's lives like its forcing me to join a cult. Racism still is an issue in this school to this day. They show no empathy for anyone and just lack the ability to allow kids all the way to 8th grade to watch rated pg films of star wars unless getting a parental signiture but will happily show a bloody christian film of graphical depictions of people being beaten and hung on crosses in pre K, and Kindergarden with no signiture necessary. Its been 8 years since i graduated and after finding out i had autism (realized i was diagnosed in 5th grade but it didnt change how i was treated), I had to speak out somehow because i was never stood up for at all in this school. If this discriminating rudeness is still happening from these adults? Then I hope this school discontinues for the best of these kids. Schools with religious values and teaching manners is one thing, but making Bible a full on separate grade apart from than Reading is a whole other level of brainwash. Their connecting church (New Life Church) is wayy more friendlier than this indoctinating institute. Never send your kids to this institute, especially when they have a disorder or disability. read more

We have 1 child at Sonshine Learning Center and 2 children at Renton Christian. Without a doubt they are getting a exemplary education, they are well cared for and not only are they learning all the core subjects at a high level, they are receiving everything from a biblical worldview which is a huge priority for us! Their music, sports and technology (STEM) programs are amazing! It's an amazing place to come to every day! Our kids will finish out their years here! read more

Very good school! This is my son 4th years in this school. Good teachers, good school and good students.

Renton Christian School is attached to a Daycare/Preschool called Sonshine Learning Center. I would not recommend this childcare facility. They have recently come under new leadership and are overcrowding classrooms to generate more money which is greatly reducing the level of quality care given to the children. SLC is a far cry from what it once was. read more
