Is there any way to give less than 1 star? Where do I begin... IF YOU WANT TO SELL YOUR HOME QUICKLY AND FOR THE HIGHEST PRICE POSSIBLE, listen to what I have to say. Real estate agents are motivated by one thing, and that is getting paid. With ReDefy being an up-front, or half up-front payment for their services, it gives them minimal, if any, incentive to get your home sold. Why? Because the agent is already paid. Whether or not they sell your home within days, weeks or months, it makes absolutely no difference in their paycheck. Unlike normal agencies, they do not market your property until you have paid and signed a nonrefundable contract, which then gives you no leverage in the business relationship. If at any point you want to fire/change agents from there, you would forfeit your funds or begin an ugly court battle to try and get them back. Additionally, your Redefy agent is the first point of contact with any potential buying agent/client so if your relationship has soured with them, you best expect they are putting minimal or no effort in presenting your property in good light/motivating buyers to submit strong offers immediately. Let my lesson be the one you do not have to experience. If you want to sell your home quickly and with someone that will market it to the best ability possible, choose an agency that has represented other sellers in the same neighborhood and doesn't request payment until the home is sold. read more

This is a great deal in certain ways. If you pay up front, you can pay a $2500 flat commission to Redefy to put your home on MLS and hold open houses. Beyond that, they're very hands off--you really won't hear from them unless you contact them. In my case, there were some important things about selling a condo that they didn't know related to FHA, which precluded the sale of the condo. Ultimately I pulled it off the market. That $2500 is good for a year, so I'll try again, perhaps, at this time next year. read more

We had the best experience with Redefy! Pam and Virginia helped us sell our current home and buy a new home. We were thrilled that our current home sold in one day for over asking price! The flat fee commission saved us thousands of dollars and is a great value. I very much wanted to look at all my options when I was ready to sell my house- I wasn't willing to just use any realtor and pay % based commissions. I looked at all the flat fee realty firms and met/talked with all of them. I felt most comfortable with Redefy's process and structure- I felt like I knew what I was getting. As for the home sale process, it went pretty smoothly. Without a doubt, the market helped and the fact we decided to price it competitively (versus going high) contributed as well. We got 7 offers and the Contract Manager (Michelle) had it under control. I feel I got a little lucky, but Michelle got me the best price I could get. We spent a couple hours reviewing them one afternoon and came to decision. From there, it was full steam ahead- I was kept abreast of everything, discussed all the options around the inspection and appraisal issues, and never missed a deadline. And over that time, we had experienced great realtors and not-so-great realtors who were way more interested in their commissions than in our overall results. EPIC FAILURE!!! If I could give 0 stars I would. We hired Redefy to represent us with our home purchase in Elizabeth CO. After we signed the contract our agent was non existent. Wouldn't return calls, texts etc. We requested multiple meetings onsite to review issues with the home and he would schedule then cancel and never re schedule. Constantly reaching out to him for help and he was totally worthless. His incompetence has cost us our earnest money, and he should not be representing people with their home purchases period. You get what you pay for. They wanted our house to appeal to investors and that was fine, but they did not explain that meant conventional loans only. So we were expecting 50+ viewings like our friend's realtor was telling her was typical. Nope. we had something like 13 viewings and 2 offers versus the typical bidding war everyone else was getting. We did not sell for as much as we may have been able to. The buyer had their loan representative and realtor in the closing with them. Redefy came out late and asked if we minded they were not there. I was taken aback they would even ask and we ended up closing the deal by ourselves. Office personnel were responsive to questions and helping us understand the paperwork. If you have your own buyers and just need paperwork processed, this is a good way to go, otherwise get a regular realtor. read more

Having tried to sell our home "by owner" for 4 months with limited activity, we thought we'd give Redefy a try. Complete waste of time and money! We signed the listing agreement in August 2019. They put the home on MLS, assigned me an agent in San Antonio (300 miles away), sent me a sign, sold my name to other service providers, and did nothing else. In 6 months we had no showings whatsoever. I did however find an honest traditional real estate agent who said, "Not surprising. My broker would fire me if I showed a home with a "by owner" or "non-traditional" listing." In Texas at least, the brokers seem to have have a tacit agreement not to support anything that threatens their traditional business model and precious 6%. Of course they all ask you to sign a document saying the 6% is completely "negotiable"....but is it? We finally went with a traditional broker and sold the home during the COVID virus within the initial listing period. read more

This experience was awful and almost traumatic. Expect to have to chase down your own sales leads, consult Google to explain real estate terminology when needed, to have to ask for "someone else" to assist you because of incompetency, to have your phone calls and emails ignored and many questions left unanswered, and have your "agent" show up at your closing, only to leave after a minute or so after signing their part. Also don't forget to bring your yard sign with you to closing because they are too lazy/busy to come and get it. Absolutely unprofessional in every aspect. We signed a contract with redefy in August of 2019 to sell our home with the understanding that we had to find a home we wanted to buy first, then sell. Well finally now October 2020 we decided that after looking at probably 75 or so homes and not finding what we we're looking for, to stay in our home and refinance. I called the agent Miguel to request our $2500 back to which he replied much to my suprise, non refundable. Now in contract it does say as such, but he wizzed right through that, never verbally mentioned it, and with the overwhelming amount of paperwork involved my Wife and I didn't notice, yes if you read everything you will see, but Miguel of course never verbally mentioned it, so to me sneaky and rotten, because I would have stopped the process then. As far as personal service, not really, almost every house we physically saw we found ourselves on Zillow, Redfin, and Trulia. We told Miguel of our criteria for new home purchase but apparently wasn't creative enough or didn't care, but me thinks a combination of both, but he never come up with anything, for the most part and definitely nothing close to our criteria. Now I know why he already got paid even though we could never come close to selling and maybe if he would have worked at a more custom type of search, ( which we asked for repeatedly) we could have found a home to our liking, and been able to sell. Everything he sent us as far as homes for sale, we had already seen. So we're out $2500 and they don't care! sneaky and very underhanded,also if you're looking for an agent that bends over backwards for you to see a home look elsewhere, Beware. read more

The Redefy process works very well. They say it is true "full service", but it's obviously not really (that is why it is much cheaper). We used them to sell our house, and saved almost 20K on the commissions (it was a 750K house). We had to chase some things down, didn't always get return calls, etc - but the savings were well worth the frustration for us. read more

Instead of being supportive and giving guidance she raised her voice on numerous occasions. I wasted 2 months of prime selling time with this company. NEVER again. Many of my questions were left unanswered and I had to do my own advertising as well as writing the MLS listing copy. Even provided my own pictures. We were hesitant to use a non traditional model when selling our house but the appeal of a $2500 flat fee for selling was so great that we gave redefy a call. I'm so glad we did! Justin Hawkins was the agent who came to our house and thoroughly explained the redefy model and the selling process. He was very upfront and honest during our conversation and by the time he left our house, we knew we wanted to move forward with redefy. Justin came out a second time to take pics of our house, gather general info, etc and soon thereafter our house was listed on the MLS and all the popular realty websites. Within a couple weeks, our house was under contract and our contract manager at redefy took care of all the details. We recently closed on that house and paid redefy $2500. Had we gone with a traditional realtor, we would have paid over $10,000 in listing agent commission. We saved at least $7500! Our agent John Coyne was not helpful.and made the process close to impossible. He was extremely rude. Unavailable and never found us houses. I found every home we were interested in or offered to buy. He was never available even though we were in a short time frame. He didn't care at all about what we were interested in. He always had a nasty attitude and ruined three deals all on his own so we lost houses we actually loved. My husband and I were beyond frustrated but had to use him because family was helping with the purchase and wanted him even though they admitted he was basically useless. I contacted many other agents and all said this guy sounds like the worst! He had no basic knowledge of anything in a home. He had zero knowledge of the area we were looking and he never, not once asked us what we were looking for. He has some huge ego for a guy that basically doesn't do his job at all. He was never available and never showed up for anything such as an inspection. He truly needs to be fired. He cost us THREE dream houses because he just didn't care and messed up the entire deal three times. On his own. He was also caught in a lot of lies. Do not waste your time on this guy. read more
