Not at all professional. Made my newborn experience not so memorable for my 12yo son and I (he went with me to help me carry my belongings since my husband could not.) We were asked to leave my baby alone in the studio because a 12 y/o could not be in the waiting area. And were told it'd be on periscope live. It was not recording properly and kept freezing then the feed mysteriously disappeared and there was no trace of what happened during her photography session. She told us our pictures would be ready in 4 weeks and weren't given to us until almost 8 weeks. We did not receive the full 7 poses but a variety of 3 poses in different angles. This was all my fault for arriving 10 minutes late after an hour long car ride and trying to stop and feed the baby before arriving (one of her many stipulations in order to ensure she can get you the 7 poses) She is rude and not customer friendly. (I paid A LOT for these pictures I can post them wherever I please the complaint was not with the pictures but that they took almost 8 weeks to receive and her business ethic is lacking!) ********The thing is I wrote the review for parents considering to use your service to get a full spectrum of what can occur. Definitely, not to engage with you, Ms. Israeli. I still have the numerous lengthy texts you sent trying to diagnose my infant with several diseases and ailments you pronounced. Stating that you snapped pictures of spiritual quotes I posted under my daughters pictures and sending people to my FB page speaks volumes. I feel harassed, please do not violate my privacy in retaliation for a bad review. As a business owner, you should understand that a customer reserves the right to write a review on the services received. Instead of attacking them, you should be attempting to remedy the concerns. A friend recommended us and we both are now in the same situation where we are waiting for our pictures. It's been about 6 months since out shoot and she has yet to hand over our pictures. Not too sure how long it's been for my friend but its close to the same time frame. Everytime we call for an update, she seems so VERY busy and she tells us please be little more patient. I do not know how this woman continues to stay in business. I had a session with Deborah back in October. During the session, she was abrupt, rude and would not let me stay in the room while she took my baby's photos (A huge red flag!). I drove all the way from Manhattan so I did not want to make a fuss but the whole time I worried about what she was doing with my baby. She works out of her home and has her children in the house as she is shooting and we were continually interrupted. I had not heard from her after 3 weeks so I followed up to see when my proofs would be ready. She sent me a rude, horrible response telling me I was harassing her and that she would contact me when they were ready. It's been almost 6 months and I still do not have my pictures!! I am heartbroken to say the least. I paid this woman in advance the full amount and I am afraid my baby's pictures are gone forever. I made the mistake of not reading Yelp reviews before choosing to take my daughter to this horrible horrible woman for newborn photos. I'm not going to mention the fact that we needed to have a 2 hour conference call prior to the shoot in order for her to walk us through all do's and don'ts of newborn photography, including showing up early, as this was "imperative." We were told that we would be charged for tardiness and/or time would be removed from our shoot time. She is the "expert" so we indulged her. In any case, we show up ahead of the scheduled time the day of and she lets us know that she's running late. Fun! (We are reasonable people so we weren't upset about this). She never allowed us to choose colors or props, instead just asked us what colors we wanted and then made decisions on props and fabrics for us. Also fun! I initially felt comforted by her that we would be able to look inside the photo closed studio via live steam. Because who would leave their baby with a stranger, unmonitored. The day we showed up, she claimed the camera wasn't working. She subsequently, refused to let me stay in the room with my baby. Every time I walked in, she would stop the entire shoot and give me a hard time about life ring near. Which is a huge red flag.She claimed the baby would smell me and the shoot would be disrupted. Instead, she was the one disrupting the shoot because my baby was fast asleep just the way she wanted. The photo studio was pretty large, so this is bullshit to not let me sit on the side in the room. What's funny is that she posted photos of a shoot she did at someone's home, where the mother was in the room. A room that looked much smaller than her studio. She called my husband and I "paranoid." Paranoid that we wouldn't let a stranger stay with our newborn alone for more than 2 minutes. She also expected us to fully trust her because of her supposed accolades. She speaks with the confidence of a mediocre white woman. Needless to say, we got into a very heated argument in the waiting room after deciding to wrap the shoot earlier than planned. In a nutshell, this woman is crazy as a bat and has no respect for people in general, especially when it comes to their own children. I'm not sure how she is still in business. I usually do not write negative reviews for small business because everyone needs to make a living to feed their families, but I pray that her own children do not end up like her and have more respect read more

I went back to Deborah for my younger son's photos. My experience this time around was HORRIBLE. I got my son's newborn photos after waiting over 1 year, even that was after i texted and emailed Deborah repeatedly. She canceled the package I had purchased and offered to give a refund of $600 for the 8 month and 12 month photo sessions, even that refund I did not receive until over a year later. She never sent me my son's 4 month photos, eventually claiming delays due to her publisher and her own personal issues. I practically begged her to give me the photos she was holding hostage, and I am convinced that she either lost them or deleted them. I was finally given a refund of $300 for the missing photos. Stay away from Deborah, she is not trustworthy and will renege on her own contracts. I would never recommend her to anyone. STAY AWAY. read more

This woman is literally the most unprofessional person I have ever met. She was rude, did not give me the images she promised me and worst of all was not particularly sweet to my newborn. She kept blaming my baby for crying and calling him "colicky". Also, I was not allowed to watch the shoot (which sucked, since I didn't trust her). Meanwhile, she complained of her botched plastic surgery for why she was "out of it" that day. Not only was she rude and condescending to me, the shoot was supposed to be a 4 hour time slot and she was late! When she finally got us into the studio, she was talking about her surgery for a full hour! Thats apparently why we didn't "get the shots". Deborah is the best newborn photographer! She has photographed both of my children since they were born. She delivers consistent and timeless photos. She went above and beyond to ensure my daughter's newborn pictures were taken during the optimal two week window. In fact me and Deborah delivered babies 2 days apart and she still insisted on taking my daughter's photos only one week after she had given birth herself! Although this photographer is very, very talented I too had major issues. So much so I waited to write this review as I did not want to do it out of anger. First and foremost my experience was similar to Heather W. This photographer was extremely unprofessional and demanding. The experience was anything but pleasurable and it appears that she has no issue making you jump through hoops to get what you PAID for when she can cancel last minute or say to go to her house if you want your shoot as she has to get her children on the bus. I am just asking you do your due diligence before booking this photographer and see the other posts regarding this photographer, I sure wish I did before I had booked her for the 1 year contract. I too feel sorry for this photographers health issues as well as her mother but they are no excuse in my opinion. She breaks her contract, does not give photos when promised then tries to make it out as you are a "difficult" client. Beware. After reading several good reviews about Redhead Photography and speaking with what seemed like a nice woman, we decided to give her a try when our son was born. Unfortunately, we had an experience we would like to forget. Due to unforeseen complications in our son's delivery, the timing between when we could get him in for pictures and when we left the hospital wasn't going to work. After promising us "she'd do her best" she presented us approximately 20 pictures, which were really just different angles of 2 or 3 shots. We tried to discuss a partial refund because she did not deliver the 8 or 9 poses we paid close to $1000 for. At that point she started saying things to us that no business person (or parent) should ever say to a customer. Needless to say, we will NEVER use her services again and would not recommend to any of our friends and family that they use her either. read more

I finally got my photos. It took a lot of back and forth with Better Business Bureau due to Deborah's untimely responses and countless heartbreaking moments including being told that my photos were ready only to receive another families photos. And let's not forget the 8 month wait!! So in my opinion they are mediocre at best. I had them reviewed by another professional photographer and we both agree her work is sub par for a so called expert in newborn photos. By far the worst photography experience I've ever had. If you want to go somewhere to be belittled and talked down to this is the place to go! Accommodated in the photographer's home studio, made the situation all the bit worse, with her child napping on the upper floor, you were literally not allowed to make the tiniest bit of a sound and with 1 year old twins..that's very challenging. Photographer also complained that the mother, grandmother, and aunt were an "entourage" and "overwhelmed" the twins with "noise and chaos". Such a party is only natural in assisting a mother of twins, especially commuting from NYC to her NJ home. As the session came to an end, she literally said "get out" as we were approaching the door because we were making too much noise, with the twins and the few bags we had, which tipped me over the edge on how ill-mannered, rude, and psychotic this photographer is. read more

Deborah is without question, one of, if not the best at what she does. Surely hands down the best in the NJ NY PA area. All you have to do is Google & see her work to know that. After an extensive search for exceptionally unique newborn photography, we booked with her. She was pleasant to work with & flexible with our schedule even though she was 8 months pregnant herself! Our newborn had bad jaundice & was released from the hospital late yet she was still able to push back our session a day. Happy she could squeeze us in to begin with, considering how booked she gets. It is an absolute science how she works with newborns, so her directions must be followed to a T so photos come out as expected. Highly unprofessional and demeaning. If I could give zero stars I would. I was unable to attend my newborn session due to complications after the birth of my child. I called to see if I could reschedule and instead of simply rescheduling the session (which I foolishly prepaid in full), I was harassed with demeaning texts, phone calls and emails stating it was my choice to be in the hospital. The owner was antagonistic and combative at each turn. Trying to rationalize either a refund or reschedule with the owner was fruitless. She eventually rescheduled me for a 1 year old baby shoot, which, according to the website costs less than the newborn shoot. The owner stated she just hadn't updated the website yet and refused to refund the difference and honor the posted prices on her website. Ultimately, a day before the shoot she called to cancel because she was sick. Thankfully at this point she offers me a refund; however, when she goes to refund me she only does a portion of my session fee! I had to both call and email her for the balance and it took her almost two weeks to get me the remainder. Needless to say if you want a pleasant and professional experience look elsewhere. read more
