It started with the fact that they have a lot of info on their website and were very transparent with their pricing (something which we found to be rare with wedding vendors!). I appreciated that they performed a variety of different ceremonies (Christian, secular, interfaith, spiritual, etc.) and felt that they were very accepting. During the planning process, they were very accommodating and helped us customize everything as much as we wanted. They have a lot of pre-written options to choose from for each part of the ceremony and they are open to changing things or personal additions. There were thoughtful options that accounted for family situations. Andrea was also very well organized with clear contingencies in place. If anything were to happen to Sarah, that prevented her from performing the ceremony, or if we forgot our vows or anything like that, they had a backup plan. Sarah also helped us through a portion of our ceremony that we were supposed to have memorized that we definitely didn't get to.

He met our every request and preference, played every specific song we asked him too, and he even led a prayer that we asked him to do at the beginning to start off our reception for us . He was a great life of the party & had an infectiously happy attitude during our reception. He led party games and supplied funny wigs which my friends and family really enjoyed. People still tell me to this day 8 years later what a great time they had at our wedding reception. Everything during the reception happened at the appropriate time and I as the bride didn't have to worry about anything. This energy came and DID NOT disappoint. We used them for their: DJ services, a live violist and percussionist, photo-booth, and CO2 cannons. Kenny and Jan were incredible. Our guests loved them. AND WE LOVED THEM. They followed my portal and must play songs to a T- and perfectly nailed when to play every genre I had. We had such a wide array of ages within the crowd, yet everyone was dancing the entire night! There was not one minute, besides when people were eating dinner, that the dance floor wasn't full. They was professional, diligent, and met with me for multiple times before the wedding on the phone to go through all of our details from start to finish. I had a lot of details and specific songs we wanted at specific times throughout the night, and I am still stunned at how well everything was executed. The violinist during the ceremony was flawless. The percussionist made sure to hop on the dance floor so we could join in. And, Jan even had the idea to use the CO2 cannons at midnight when the hall dropped for our NYE wedding- a touch that was one of our favorite parts of the night. In regards to our photo booth, it was great. We did the Salsa booth and our guests had so much fun with it. (It also came with a ring light- so everyone looked incredible.) We had the link immediately with all of the pictures too! They even let my husband and I hop in a picture while they were taking it down, because we realized we didn't take one in it. The day would not have gone as smoothly without their tremendous efforts.

I have personally known them both for many years and couldn't wait to call them when I got engaged. This is not their first time around the rodeo, both of these fellas have been in this industry for years and know how to throw down. I had 210 guests, I would say over 50 people who I spoke with after the wedding RAVED about how good of a time they had, how the music was so good and a little over half of which claimed it was the "best" wedding they ever went to. I will concur with all three of those statements. Not only was Jan a breeze to deal with during all of the wedding planning, but the actual day of was honestly flawless. I had a list of about 20 "must have" songs that I wanted to be played, all of which were played. When it comes to music these guys know how to read a crowd. What was refreshing was the different music choices they selected. There is NOTHING WORSE than a CHEESY DJ playing the same music you hear at every wedding-womp womp.....If that is your fear, fear no MO! They even had grandma up on that dance floor JAMMING OUT- a sight I have not seen in over a decade- no joke.I'd say we got WAY more than we paid for, as far s quality is concerned. The DJ booth was gorgeous, the lighting package is A MUST, those crisp ass speakers-honestly everything that they brought to the table was pure goodness. HIGHLY recommend these guys-I am all about a good time and making sure everyone else is happy and enjoying themselves, and these guys truly care about the same things and you can see it in their work. My experience was definitely unforgettable... but not in a good way. :( my fiance and i were really…read moreexcited about potentially booking one of their dj's, pj, for our upcoming wedding. i gave them a call and whereas i'd had no problems with any vendors coming into manhattan to meet with us, they told us that they had a "no driving into manhattan without a contract" policy. i thought that was understandable, so made arrangements with my fiance to take the day off work on a tuesday to meet with the dj at our venue in clifton, nj. before the meeting, not knowing the etiquette, we asked the dj if we were expected to provide a meal. his reply was very curt and told us that "in 12+ years of dj-ing he'd never come across this question." yikes. we definitely didn't mean to offend and we apologized and assured him we'd be happy to pay for his meal. however, we scheduled another meeting with another dj just to have a back up. this dj was also in central jersey, came in to the city to meet with us, and gave us a great rate! my fiance and i were impressed but we had already gotten the time off work and the wedding wire reviews were so great that we decided we still wanted to meet with unforgettable djs. the meeting went very well! we thought pj had a lot of awesome, youthful energy. however, we wanted some time to think about it. my fiance and i debated and while the packaging price was better with the other dj, we thought that pj seemed like he'd bring more energy to the night. we e-mailed them explaining where we were in the decision-making process and asked if the price was negotiable. a few minutes later we received an e-mail that was essentially an e-mail RANT, accusing us of giving them "the bait and switch," listing all the trouble they'd gone through to meet with us. they also stated, "To offer my services for one dollar less is to de-value my services and I would never be able to do that." they also accused us of trying to steal their ideas ("I offered you input that you now will be able to use whether it's with me or any other DJ that you choose.") which seemed both paranoid and arrogant. i later called the owner of the company who apologized to me (hence the 2 star instead of 1). however, as a bride-to-be who is already stressed enough planning, having to tiptoe around one of my vendors is SO NOT WORTH IT. yes, maybe other people who used them loved them, but if you decide (or even LOOK like you're going to decide) to not go with them, watch out! an intimidating exchange at best, a demeaning one at worst. bring your business elsewhere. note: i was really surprised that wedding wire had ONLY glowing reviews about this place and looked up how the reviews worked. it seems that if there is a bad review, vendors can get that review pulled from the site. that's MESSED UP. secondly, i feel like a good chunk of the wedding wire reviews are fake because this place ALREADY has 1 filtered review posted. YAY for yelp for posting REAL reviews by REAL people and monitoring it!

All around, everyone at Unforgettable DJs was a pleasure to work with. My wife and I went off book in a lot of ways, ignoring a lot of typical wedding tropes to try and make the event something to really represent us, and Chris was right there with us the entire time. He was great about setting up meetings to talk through our plans, and helped a great deal in taking the random collection of ideas we compiled, and fine tuning them into exactly what we were looking for. Chris is really knowledgable about the dynamics of a wedding how crowds respond, what they expect, what kinds of music works best in what scenarios, etc. This kind of expertise was invaluable in figuring out how we could make everything work. Chris even had some great ideas of his own that really helped bring everything together. He hooked us up with uplighting, which really added a nice touch to the venue (we got married in a huge art gallery). And we were even able to book an awesome Red Carpet Photo Booth for the guests, which everyone loved. During the wedding itself, Chris did a great job of setting a fun and welcoming atmosphere for our guests. He really connected with the crowd, and was very responsive to the mood of the room. A lot of the music we selected wasn't really common for a wedding, but Chris managed to put it together in such a way that people really responded to it. Overall, we put a lot on Chris and his team to dictate the flow of the evening, since we weren't doing a typical sit-down dinner, but they did an amazing job keeping everything on track, while still feeling spontaneous. Since the wedding we've gotten a lot of compliments on it, and had several people ask for Chris' contact information to pass along to people they know getting married (which I think says far more than this long sprawling review could).

Joe was able to untangle the tape and convert it to a CD. I shared the CD with my partners we are all in out sixties and we mad the tape when we were 14.
