The male nurse that checks you in was very rood. I was in having severe swelling in my face and throat. I waited outside in front by the sliding door bc I didn't want to get sick and I let the check in lady know I was. That male nurse when I went back up to him for an update " in a rude/mad voice he says I called your name a few times! Where were you!" Literally right outside the door. Could literally see me through the glass sitting on the ground by the DOOR dying to breathe. Just to get sent home. Then finally diagnosed with hashimoto's disease. My immune system is in overdrive. Symptoms-chronic hives that don't go away head to toe ,swelling head to toe, weakness,fatigue,hairloss,anxiety,food sensitivity,stomach pain,mood swings and more. do not come here! they do not triage correctly! i recently came back for emergency symptoms of irregular heartbeat with chest pressure. they took over an hour to triage me! they let prescription refills, flu symptoms, and abdominal pains before me. turns out i was having a tia that they prolonged. read more

I stayed there for a few days after a seizure episode ended a 7 year remission. The staff were efficient, kind and knowledgeable. They were respectful and caring and I was as comfortable as one can be in that situation. The food wasn't bad, I enjoyed the angel food cake and the salad. read more

I get to visit Redlands Community Hospital often for the radiology department. I always seem to need an x-ray, MTI, ultrasound or most recently a CT scan. I feel like I Have been remiss in not reviewing the radiology department and my overall experiences. First, you do have to check in as you come in, but the employees who check you in at either end are so friendly and quick that it isn't a big deal and once you are in the system, they can pull your photo up and print you a badge quickly. Once I head to radiology, I'm a happy camper. The staff there are FANTASTIC. They are VERY friendly, VERY helpful, and whether or not they are actually caring, they absolutely make me feel cared about. Not only are they efficient when you are there, but the communication and assistance I have gotten prior to appointments has been top notch. I recently had my insurance change to a new group which has been a pain, but they were on top of it far enough in advance to realize that I needed a new authorization and called me and kept me updated on what was taking place. I was able to work with my doctor to get the new auth JUST IN TIME. The team that does the actual xrays, scans, etc have all been friendly, thoughtful and helpful. They take care of you and are happy to answer questions. Once you are done, you can actually wait to get a copy of your scans on a disc or you can wait until the scans have been reviewed and come back to pick up the disc and the results. Overall, this team is wonderful and I cannot thank them enough for always demonstrating professionalism and kindness while being thorough. read more

I went to Redlands E.R. on 8/1/25. They got me checked in quickly and brought me back to be treated. My fantastic doctor was Dr. Wang and my amazing nurse was Noel Fonseca (male). I thought I was having kidney pain. Dr. Wang treated my pain appropriately throughout my visit. In the end, I found out that I was suffering from nerve compression and spinal stenosis from arthritis and degenerative disc disease in my cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine. .... We came in thru the ER department...although we have Kaiser .....this is the closest hospital to our home.... And he needed help right away....within minutes of our arrival they took me back to be with him...the doctor gave me all our options .... They've taken great care of him so far....He is on hospice care now... the staff has gone out of their way to not only make him comfortable but our family too.... He passed after 12 days on hospice... Every Nurse on the fifth floor was compassionate.... And went out of their way to help us through this difficult/ terrible time... I've only been to this ER twice in 8 years. I went in on Thursday after a bad case of "stomach flu" and the pain was getting worse. The positives: -quick check in (fastest I've ever experienced). -They take you back to a room where you can speak to the PA or doctor in private. (That was something new for me and something that was appreciated). -The PA ordered blood, urine, and a CT with contrast to make sure I wasn't dehydrated and to make sure everything was okay. -My blood was drawn immediately - The results came back pretty quickly. I expected to be waiting for a couple more hours for CT results but didn't have to. -The bathroom was pretty clean -The PA answered all of my questions and didn't seem rushed. -The nurse that discharged me was really nice. The negatives: - I sat there waiting for someone to give me a urine cup and nobody did. After about 45 minutes, I spoke up and the nurse gave me one. The nurse did apologize about that. -The nurse seemed a little irritated with the questions and concerns I had, but to be fair, he had a rough morning. He still answered them. Still, this ER is different and new environment, so I was a bit nervous. -There is only one bathroom for multiple patients. read more

I went to the ER and told them my concerns and about my worsening symptoms and they sent me back to my regular doctor because they thought the procedure I was there to do was necessary. So I then see my doctor at the next available appointment and he tells me that I need to go back to Redlands ER ASAP and have it taken care of. On the evening of April 1, 2026, I went to the ER of Redlands Community Hospital. It was an unforgettable ordeal! The reason for my visit was that the RMC doctor I'd seen earlier that day directed me to go to an ER for an enzyme test (bloodwork); she wanted to make sure that the chest pains I'd experienced twice the day before were not from a heart attack. She explained that in women, heart attacks typically present differently than they do in men. Redlands Community is closer to me than Riverside Community (which is also where both of my parents died...so very bad memories there.) For the record, I didn't want to go to the ER just for a blood test, because I expected to be treated as though I was wasting their time. It's also a $250 copay for me! But my brother, who had a heart attack and a triple bypass when he was younger than I am, insisted that I do as the doctor directed. When I told him that my EKG had been normal, he countered that his EKG had also been normal; it was the enzyme test that had indicated he'd had a heart attack. Just as I'd expected, I was treated by staff as if I'd made a huge mistake by going to the ER at Redlands Community. The ER medical director himself was cold, abrupt, and borderline belligerent toward me. He also kept asking if I wanted something for pain-even though I never said anything about pain. (Hopefully, it's because he assumed I was a druggie and not because he likes to give out painkillers.) I think he needs to take a break and go camping with his family. The stress from such a huge responsibility must be getting to him. He definitely needs to change his attitude because it made me want to avoid going to the ER again. Doctors need to be careful not to inhibit people from seeking medical care. Sadly, another brother of mine died in March because he didn't go to the ER for the edema in his legs. It led to a DVT that led to a stroke and a pulmonary embolism. It turned out that he also had afib. This brother even worked in the medical field himself. He had a physics degree from UCR and his name on at least 12 patents for medical devices like prosthetic heart valves and vascular grafts. He worked as a lead principal engineer for Anteris Technologies when he collapsed at work. What made my experience at the ER even worse was the inhumane temperature in the ER waiting areas. It is not true that it has to be freezing in there to kill the germs. In fact, it is well documented that the flu virus THRIVES in cold and dry environments. It has something to do with the outer lipid layer of the virus becoming more firm in colder temperatures. It enables the virus to survive longer on surfaces and in the air. Research also reveals that cold temperatures can lower a person's immune response. It was SO cold that some people in that ER covered themselves in blankets to stay warm. Others curled up in the fetal position in their seats, trying to conserve body heat. I wish I'd had a blanket...or a parka. I was wearing a long-sleeved jacket, and I was still very cold! I have made a complaint with CDPH about that issue. It is inhumane and unhealthy for an ER to be that cold. Take my advice and go to a different ER. read more

It's been a few years now since I had a laminectomy performed by Dr. Steinmann at Redlands Community Hospital. I had severe LEFT leg pain and through an MRI and nerve conductive test was told that my spine had narrowed to allow the vertebrate to contact the spinal cord. This could be fixed by the laminectomy (removing bone) to prevent the bone from contacting the spinal cord. Dr. Steinmann ordered my surgery at the Redlands Hospital OR. As I was told by the Doctor, I was placed on the surgery table, abdomen down. My knees were placed in a Vee shaped carrier position. This was supposed to be padded with foam. The procedure was approximately two hours. I woke up in recovery and I was ecstatic that my left leg pain had been completely healed. As I stretched out, I soon realized that I could not move my RIGHT foot! I called for the nurse and explained that my Right foot and leg were my "good" extremity and had no problems before my back surgery. The nurse contacted Dr. Steinmann and he ordered an MRI of my back. Also, a nerve conductive test. I couldn't walk due to I now had DROP FOOT. I couldn't bend my right foot upward! I was given a walker to help me get home. Dr. Steinmann said he would make a house call after other surgeries were completed. He arrived at our home about 9pm. He examined my right foot and leg. He said he wasn't in the area doing the laminectomy that would've affected my right foot. He said that the MRI confirmed that prognosis. The nerve conductive test placed the blame on the perennial nerve just below the right knee. This nerve controls the muscles that move the foot upwards. Dr. Steinmann concluded that the perennial nerve was crushed due to the surgery table and the VEE shaped slots for the knee to be placed. Of course he said it should have been padded with foam. He said he had done numerous surgeries on this table and never had this happen! I asked him what can be done to repair my crushed nerve. He said it may regenerate in a few years with physical therapy. It never recovered. I'm am stuck with a carbon fiber brace on my right foot and lower shin area for the rest of my life. Dr. Steinmann never saw me again. In fact he wouldn't take any appointments with me. He place all the blame on the surgery table and nursing staff in the Redlands Community Hospital OR. I had contacted the hospital and I was told that I had signed surgical consent to operate and not hold anyone responsible for any outcome whatsoever. Even death. Standard procedure. I'm now completely disabled and must wear a brace on my right leg. Just a warning to all who need back surgery, use a different hospital operating room. Many use a much safer table. read more

I'll give credit where it's due, Noel was excellent. Kind, professional, actually seemed to care. If only the same could be said for Mitchell. I'm a physician, so I'm not exactly someone who throws around complaints lightly or doesn't understand how stressful an ER environment can be. But what I saw from Mitchell was beyond unprofessional. The man was goofing around with another female nurse while my brother was sitting there in real pain. It was genuinely shocking to watch. This isn't a bar it's a hospital. Noel, genuinely thank you. "PROTOCOL" OVER RESPECT AND DECENCY In this review I will copy the email I sent to their patient liason: Hello, my name is Jennifer ***** and I was discharched from ward three today 7/30, room ****. My day nurse was RN Komala, she was great. But, my dark haired young, lighter skinned lady (Rae, possibly?), was my CNA and I was highly disappointed! When it was time for me to get discharged, my mother, who was picking me up, was stuck in traffic due to crashes on the ten freeway. I had a meal scheduled for 4pm and the meal person rep assured I would still be able to have it if I was still there waiting. Instead, with a full plate of food in front of me, this dark haired CNS (which will be moving to ER soon apparently) forced me out of the room, my whole plate of food barely touched, and told me it was "protocol" I could not be there (in my room!) or take anything, in fact, I could not even just walk down and wait for family at the cafe so I could eat. She said she needed to wheel me down to a waiting area or outside and not let me move from the wheelchair until she saw my family? All the while sighing and looking at her watch? Use common sense when it comes to client service. I was uncomfortable at the least, but also ashamed and embarrased. I get policies and protocol.. but show tact and respect to patients, every situation is different and compassion needs to be shown! at the very least. I will be filling out many more surverys and complaints. This is an issue that should NEVER have been one. Especially when one is already getting discharged from a traumatic situation. ‍. I was very nervous to deliver at RCH after reading previous reviews about the nursing station; HOWEVER, my nurses were amazing. Nurses like Meagan, Rebecca, Nicole, Heather, and others in L&D and Couplet Care were amazing. My emergency delivering doctor was equally amazing. I had several issues after delivering and had to return for a later stay; everyone took very good care of us. I am very thankful for my delivery and postpartum care. Thank you all. I talked to their supervisor about their carelessness. They treated me very bad and discriminatory. Unfortunately I left the Emergency Room without receiving any support. I recently had a planned C-section at Redlands Community. During that they discovered that on top of my placenta previa that I also had percreta. I am so grateful for both my surgeons, Dr. Kumar and Dr. Edward's. It turned into a very dangerous situation very quickly and they both had the knowledge they needed to save my life. The whole team was amazing in taking care of me considering I was awake the whole time; the nurses, anesthesiologist, drs.... everyone! The Kumar took an hour with me and my family after to explain everything in such detail. It was great to fully understand everything. I am so grateful for him... the Nicu and labor and delivery nurses were all so amazing our whole stay. My baby was there for 12 days and I was there for 5. Overall a sucky situation but such great doctors and nurses to take care of us throughout it. read more

Upon my visit in the emergency department on March 16 into the early morning of March 17 the nurses were highly unprofessional as we had asked them why things were taking so long and I had not gotten an additional pain medication after asking for three hours and the guy got really nasty and you could hear him talking about me in the back highly unprofessional and he does not belong working in the hospital. The ER was very backed up, but yet they never checked back on to see how patients are doing that are waiting for either diagnostics or results. If you cannot handle more patience, don't take any more in because the patient care, lax and the professionalism of patient care being a top priority for this hospital. read more

Because of my recent experience here I had to rush to yelp and see what other people are saying so I could better understand how I was feeling. It started when my son was sent here for a small scratch on his eye, went to urgent care and they sent me here, money grab 1000%, I shortly realized this when there were multiple people from the same Urgent care with minor issues, one gentleman had a rash! They sent him to the Emergency Room... Didn't think anything of it except for maybe the urgent care team was incompetent, now I realize maybe this hospital had two stars because their staff is lazy and beyond slow moving, with zero sense of urgency. It wasn't until my sister came in with a life threatening blood clot... And this message is for Tyler in ICU, your bedside manner is completely unprofessional. You are rude, there was plenty of us there to see your comments under your breath. And yes, we did get better treatment at Loma Linda. The second we walked in the door, The second we walked in, treatment started with no questions. Thank you so much for being so much for putting eye drops in my sisters eyes when her body was struggling to stay alive, you really out did yourself. Gave birth here in 2020 and recently Nov. 2025 and I received the best care. My nurses and doctor were extremely kind, caring, thoughtful, professional, supportive and safe. I had to try to reschedule an appointment for a PET scan which was SO difficult to get in the first place. I had the flu and a fever so I'm sure you didn't want me to show up. The appointment was on 2/11. I have called at least 15 times to reschedule and left messages too. I cannot get through, on hold for 30 - 60 minutes and no answer. No return call either. It's just frustrating so I'm hoping a bad review might get me response. read more

Redlands community gave quality emergency care. It was my first ER visit and time coming to this hospital. I was truly thankful for the high quality and exceptional level of care I received. Everyone who helped me was kind and compassionate and I felt safe and listened to. They communicated clearly and ran tests as needed in my case. I am thankful for the doctor and entire staff and team that cared for me here. I had a delightful experience in this emergency room. As I entered the facility it was nice and fresh. The front desk staff and triage staff were very friendly and helpful. When I received triage care it went very fast and the quality of care was great, everyone were very professional workers all throughout the facility for what type of care I needed. I had my baby here and it was honestly a great experience! The only thing was that there was a nurse who was so rude to my mom and kept trying to say my mom who is the kindest person, tried to shove her. Which was a lie and she kept going on and on. But the main reason I'm leaving this review is because currently I've called the administration office because I got a call from them to give them a call back once I made a certain appointment and both times that I called this super rude lady answers. I don't know what her name is, but I'm gonna try to get it next time so I can report her, but she asked very rudely what I'm calling for and when I literally tell her in the most simplest form, I get a super nasty response. And then when I literally say it again, I just get transferred and not a single word and honestly it almost made me not want to ever go there ever again. I'm sure everyone else is nice. I've met many nice nurses and doctors but this one lady gives it a really bad rep. I'm gonna really try to get her name next time and add it on here if I can.
