It went quick for my colonoscopy. Appointment at 10:40am & home in Perris by 1 pm everyone so nice & organized. Riverside Digestive

My spouse visited the ER and had X-rays performed. The hospital collected our insurance information at the time of service, and our insurance successfully processed and paid the hospital portion of the claim. What followed has been months of frustration involving the hospital's contracted radiology provider, Riverside Radiology Medical Group. Initially, their billing department claimed they did not have our insurance information on file and suggested that was the reason for the balance. Later, it became clear that they did have our insurance information, and their billing department acknowledged that insurance had paid the claim. Despite this, they continued to show an outstanding balance. We never received an original bill from Riverside Community hosiptal, then never received one to their contracted provider from Riverside Radiology Medical Group. Instead, the first indication that anything was allegedly owed came through a random text message containing what appeared to be a screenshot of a bill, followed by collection notices from PCI Debt Collectors. Had we received a legitimate bill, we could have addressed it immediately, but we wouldn't in this case because our insurance paid for it all. Since then, we have spent months contacting the hospital, Riverside Radiology Medical Group, and the collection agency. The hospital tells us there is no outstanding balance. Riverside Radiology Medical Group acknowledges insurance payment but still shows a balance. The collection agency is difficult to reach and provides little assistance. Everyone points fingers at everyone else, while no one takes responsibility for resolving the issue. Even more concerning, Riverside Radiology Medical Group has no record of multiple phone calls we made trying to correct this problem, and at one point could not even locate my husband's account information despite continuing collection efforts. The most frustrating part is that this is now affecting our credit over a balance that appears to have already been paid through insurance. We are being forced to spend countless hours disputing an account that should never have been sent to collections in the first place. No patient should have to worry about damage to their credit because of poor communication, billing errors, and a lack of accountability between a hospital, its contracted providers, and its collection partners. This has been one of the worst healthcare billing experiences we have ever encountered. The hospital should seriously reconsider its relationship with Riverside Radiology Medical Group and the collection agencies they use. Patients deserve accurate billing, proper notice before collection activity begins, and a resolution process that does not require months of fighting to correct someone else's mistake. Our experience with Riverside Radiology Medical Group and their collections agency is a reflection of who they chose to create meaningful relationships with when caring for their patients. read more

I'm going to be honest. It's hit or miss here. Some days you get great service from staff and other days you dont. You have some floor doctors whom are empathetic and you have other's that are jerks for example, when a doctor questions you on certain medicines like opioids and you respond truthfully yet they make you feel like a complete liar when you tell them the truth. That hurts. And then you have some doctors whom are thorough and take all kinds of precautions when checking you out and then you have other doctors that may give you a pill and send you on your way without workups. And then se of the male nurses are rude and then you've got female nurses cursing on the job during casual conversations within one another while on the clock. And lastly there's little attention to patient needs after being admitted or observed in a room like pillows warm blankets or even water. On a number of occasions I laid frozen on a gurney for extended periods of times while waiting to be cleared and let me tell you, its tantamount to being in jail in a cell. Cold ac blowing. No covers no towels no pillows no nothing just cold air. And not once have I been asked if I needed anything so there's room for improvement in every facet of this hospital. read more

The case management department at Riverside Community Hospital is very uninformed and does not advocate for what is in the best interest of their patients. The management tries to save money by pushing patients out quickly to dangerous nursing homes, instead of advocating for more advanced rehabilitation hospitals that serve our community. Many of the managers and leaders are not qualified and have consistently poor communication skills between departments, to patients, family members, insurance companies, and to accepting facilities. This is a scary place for your loved one. This hospital should be investigated further so that the population they are supposed to be serving is protected from negligence. read more

I don't think I've ever had a bad experience when coming to the RCH emergency department. Sure there were times where I had to wait longer than usual but they were extremely busy and I get that more serious injuries or illness takes priority. I want to leave a review specifically for this morning. It was not busy at all and I was in and out with an hour tops. Everyone was friendly and genuinely caring. I can't remember everyone's names but the PA was quick and wasted no time putting in my orders for steroids, breathing treatment, and chest xray. The RN promptly gave the medication, following by xray taking me back, ending with respiratory giving me the breathing treatment. All happened with 20 mins of coming through those doors. Thank you for getting me in and out of there promptly so I could get home and rest. read more

I came here to visit a critically ill grandma in the ER department and to get to her was way too complicated than it should have been. Took me over 45 minutes to navigate around the different buildings. It was like staff don't know any buildings other than the one they're stationed in. But...here's my experience by each building: - General Hospital (center building) - two front desk girls (long dark hair and bandana girl) were not exactly helpful. The dark hair girl gave me pretty much no direction, nor offered to walk me anywhere, even though I kept asking specifically for the ER department. Then, once I got to the Emergency Department: - Emergency Services - the security guard in glasses (looked college-aged) was in such a bad mood! I was kindly asking questions and I couldn't hear him because it's outside and it was windy out and asked him to repeat what he said. He then started raising his voice for whatever reason and I had to put on my parent/teacher voice and told him raising his voice was unnecessary and that I was just trying to get to grandma. Eventually he calmed down and gave me a nametag and I was able to walk-in. - Vitals Station at ER Entrance - As I walked into the buidling, there was this blonde RN that was just staring at me in the worst manner possible, like what's your deal. We didn't even interact or anything. Anyway, once I got in to the actual ER Department with the other RNs and doctors, it was like night and day. It was a pretty busy place like all ER departments. but I got to see grandma. The staff was much more friendly there. There was a long wait time for grandma to get a room, but eventually she did and she was moved to the ICU unit upstairs. It was a quiet ward, but the RN there was very empathetic to grandma and had good bedside manner. But I have to review this experience as one hospital and alike many of the other reviews, think Riverside Community needs to work a little more on addressing visitors and patients in a more sympathetic and effective manner. read more

Most of the staff is untrained and rude specifically the front desk. Make up rules and power trip for what ever reasons they seem fit. They dont communicate with each other and make up policies as they go. multiple times I was told. "My co workers allow that ?" As if there is a hidden rule not posted or told to anyone including the STAFF never have I seen so many staff members that had no clue their own employers rules. This hospital is a joke. Emergency room was really good regarding wait time and care. There are 2 major complaints: enema water was so hot i screamed. After colonoscopy procedure I was left in fecal matter for an extended amout of time with no way to clean it. My sister had to take care of me. The care in the ER was fast and well done. Then it went downhill. Waited for a room for hours. Once the room was available it was dirty and had trash on the floor. The side table had broken drawers and was not useable. Both my husband and another man were crammed into one small room with very little space. How do you get a room in the G tower? Whose butt do you have to kiss for that? The reviews I read were all from women delivering babies. They are not sick, but I guess it's easy to give them the best care and the people who are really hurting get the leftovers. We have insurance and the hospital gets paid. Do better RCH. read more

Worst L&D. Waited over 5 hours to be evaluated then was given a DIRTY room. I told a nurse AND the OB that the toilet was dirty with possible BLOOD from the previous patient even though housekeeping put a Sani shield on the toilet... the OB excuse was they had so many deliveries that day... as if that excuses someone bodily fluids? I couldnt even feel comfortable enough to use the bathroom. Not only that but they left out blood pressure medication from the previous patient so my room was in fact dirty. They also gave me a broken bed so the whole time I was there I was forced to lay on my back and was very uncomfortable. read more

I was a patient here in 2018 and had some of the most unacceptable care I've ever experienced. I underwent procedures with only local anesthetic, and the experience left me with lasting PTSD. Now, my family is living through another nightmare because of this hospital. My brother -- an ICU patient with a traumatic head injury -- somehow managed to walk out of the ICU, past hospital staff, through the halls, and out the front entrance without anyone stopping him. I was told by my family that no one on staff noticed or intervened until it was too late. This entire situation has been deeply traumatic for us. We can't even feel safe or taken care of by the very place that is supposed to protect and care for its patients. In my opinion, this reflects a dangerous lack of awareness, communication, and patient safety. If I'm ever in an ambulance, I will beg to be taken to Orange County instead. This hospital desperately needs major changes in staffing, safety protocols, and accountability before I could ever believe it is a safe place for anyone. read more

I wanted to say what a wonderful, caring, and professional experience we had at your Riverside Community Hospital. I am writing on behalf of my Mom, the patient (admitted)3/26-3/30/26), and myself. It was a very scary time for us. My Mom suffers from mild dementia, and luckily, she has not been hospitalized for years. The staff was so kind, professional, warm, and caring that, although it was still scary for her, she felt she was in good hands and felt safe. She met her soul mate in Marlette. That woman went above and beyond to make my mom feel special and cared for. They had a common interest in fashion, and Marlette made sure she connected on such a personal level that my Mom felt she had made a great friend. I felt that way too. Marlette could be very warm and caring and still very professional, a rare skill that is not always demonstrated. For her, I think it comes naturally; it's a true gift. The nurses, Sarv, Lily, Christine, Jill, and I am sure I am forgetting some names, were very good, caring, and professional. The gentleman Daniel, who delivered her food, always had a smile and kind words to say. I do realize these are people's jobs, and it can be easy to get wrapped up in the stress and occasional negativity that often goes with high-stress situations. Your people took the time and energy to treat a scared, confused, elderly woman with deep kindness and respect. Taking the time to learn about her interests and offer words of encouragement. These actions will not be forgotten, and we as a family are very appreciative. read more

On March 13th I had to have a a knee replacement. From the beginning to the end I had excellent service. Scheduling was a breeze and Dr. Choi was great. He made sure I was prepared. He was able to have my prescriptions filled before surgery so I wouldn't have to wait. My kinetec knee extending machine was delivered days before, to ensure my physical therapy was off to a good start. Everyone I encountered was so kind and compassionate. The care I received from the medical staff was more that I could have expected. Thank you Riverside Community for everything! read more

These people have their head up their ass! I came in with chest pains and a blood pressure of 185 over 120 and they waited OVER AN HOUR to admit me. Once I was in intake they made the CARDNAL SIN OF CONFUSING ME WITH SOMEONE ELSE!! They tried so hard to hide it from me but the nurses in that station were panicking and verbally looking for someone to blame! BUT THEY PUT ME IN THE WRONG ROOM ANYWAYS! They put me in the wrong part of the hospital which was supposed to be my own room and they made me walk back to the intake ER rooms! When I was dizzy and almost passing out! They then left me in there for 6 WHOLE HOURS without so much as a drip IV! I was suffering in pain and panic! They didnt even give me water!! UNFREAKINGBELIEVABLE!! The doctor came in over 6 hours later and gave me a single pill of Cozar (low potency high blood pressure meds) and sent me home in my car while I was dizzy! Who ever is in charge of this hospital needs to put a boot up these people's ass! read more

Labor and delivery - our experience there was horrible. My daughter got a C section and was closed up and then they took x-rays and they left a glove in her and had to unstitch her to remove glove and did it. It was a very scary experience. Then they were going to do a tube ligation, which she didn't sign for and she noticed that last page and verbally informed staff she never requested that. Fraud signature via email which she never requested. And one of the nurse there was very fast and not careful with the baby- we were shocked. Just too much stuff for a first time mom and dad. Nobody can answer simple questions when asked and when you try to advocate for your loved one, you're met with nothing but resistance it's exhausting. The charge nurses and house supervisors, none of them know what they're doing they should all be removed immediately that hospital needs an evaluation on their staff and the competency of their employees. there's a few places that seem to be OK. Riverside Community Hospital was thee BEST hospital experience that I've ever had in my adult life! They saved my life! I had pneumonia and a ton of fluid in one lung. The entire process was miraculous! I HATE needles! They had to put a pretty long one in my back to aspirate the fluid in my lung. I hardly felt a thing! The level of care and knowledge that they had for my specific situation was brilliant! I wish I could remember everyone's names but I can't. I do remember Val, Mardon, Erin, Damnica, LaShawndra, Elizabeth, Ellen, Luis and so many more. I can't think of one area they fell short. 5 hours in a hallway waiting. The whole time I'm on a gurney. Dr never introduced himself. 3 surgeons came in to tell me they needed to amputate my foot. I refused. Another doctor came in, Dr John, and said don't worry you will keep your foot. While getting ready for mri they dragged me onto the table but first straight into a hard bar scraping my spine. My husband was very critical and there were lots of teams working to help him...I'm sure I will miss a few... The neuro team was outstanding. The kidney doctor... the pulmonary Dr... so many in the beginning that I didn't always get names... The doctors all tried to stay in contact with me...here a few of the Doctors that made a difference in my husband's stay.., Dr. Lee, &. Resident Dr. Stoli.... Nurses that went above and beyond for us...Hailee in ER...Kena in ICU, Christina is a floating nurse that we had on floor 6.... We had some wonderful housekeeping ladies too.... The place was immaculate and doctor Emdadi was great. The nurses were all good but one of the night nurses, Venessa, was really amazing about checking in on me and making sure i had everything i needed. The nurses in the ER lack compassion and have zero sense of urgency. My daughter was brought by ambulance for a migraine & vomiting and was left for over an hour w.out giving her any medication after being admitted. I went to the nurses station & the girl working at the nurses station completely ignored me when I said "Excuse me" - she looked at me, heard me and looked back down at her phone. I could not believe how RUDE she was. Another patient asked this same girl for an adult diaper and she told the patient, "I'm sorry we don't have adult diapers. " No sympathy or even tried to offer a solution. A nurse walking by saw my daughter in a horrible state and offered her an ice pack because our assigned nurse didn't offer anything to make my daughter comfortable. Nurse Tina who is the ER nurse manager also helped make my daughter comfortable. Her and 1 other nurse were the ONLY ones who seemed to genuinely care. Thank you for making my daughter feel better when she was extremely ill. Your small gestures made a large impact. ER nurses - you have A LOT of room to improve & to show just a small bit of compassion for those who are truly sick and need care. A little goes a long way. read more

I understand ER is busy and so the floors; it took 24 hours before I got a Tele bed on 3S; room was dirty, floor was sticky, nightstand still has opened Tele patches and Sandbags in all 3 drawers. Then a nurse approached my Primary RN and sort of scolded her, in front of me, saying "If you guys are getting patients, I need to know. " My nurse asked did she not get report, she said she did. Not sure what the problem was. My roommate kept her TV on all night, screaming pts in the hallway, another one vomiting nonstop, yet each time we ask to half close our door, they leave it open, so not a wink of sleep. Took 3 hours to place an 18g access for my CCTA and that's all CT was waiting for so they can do the procedure. Then I wanted to use the pt restroom prior to Transport coming but the toilet seat was soiled by the other, not even a toilet seat cover. I asked one of the nurses for EVS, they said EVS left. I asked another staff about cleaning the toilet seat, she told me if there's tissue paper I can use it to clean the seat, if I really need to pee?!?!?! SHE MUST BE OUT OF HER MIND?!! I tried to contact Chona, Nurse leader on the white board, no Answer, not even a response to my texts. This is ridiculous!!! She came to see my roommate earlier, she said she'll come back to to see me but NEVER DID...What a leader!!! Here's more...night #2 Nurse Tad of pt in next bed, emptied the Ileostomy bag of the patient using a canister. He flushed the contents (liquid stool and urine) in toilet, not all got flushed down, splashed onto seat; and dirty canister was laid on top of toilet paper dispenser. GROSS!!! Why would I want to use the toilet paper now??? I had to put gloves on, moved the dirty canister to the floor, and used saniWipes to clean top of toilet paper dispenser, lift up the hopper sprayer, wipe down splashed-on toilet seat with Sani-Wipes so I can urinate. No consideration that there's an ambulatory patient in same room who uses the same toilet!!! read more

My husband is in SICU and everyone is absolutely incredible. The drs are awesome and very thorough and communicative. The two nurses that are beyond outstanding are Joshua and Alyssa in SICU. so caring and efficient. I can't speak highly enough of this department. read more

My wife was given a bed in the old section of the hospital and the parking situation is absolutely terrible for someone who is handicapped. They only had 20 parking spaces for handicapped. I had to park down the hill and pay $6.00 to park. Another problem was the cafeteria being so far away in the new section. There is no food, coffee, or drinks in the old section.... read more

This place is a chop shop for sick people! I went in to the ER Friday night at 6pm with severe right side pain. I thought it was appendicitis so I was also panicking. They couldn't get my pain lower than a 7, they wanted me to do a CT w/contrast scan and I came in with my IV in my ACL and I explained because I had arthritis I couldn't keep my arm straight for the CT w/contrast they need to place it somewhere else. The denied the removal of the IV so I removed it myself. I explained to them that was a hard stick they needed the pick team or a RN that knew how to use the ultrasound. I waited another 4 hours to get someone to ask if they can try to find a vein I said sure but they better not fish, and what did they do? They fished. I then pushed their hand away removed the needle myself again and demanded a pick team again. I waited another 3 hours until a RN that knew how to use the ultrasound machine and got my IV after 10min of digging in my arm. I finally the CT after 2 hours of waiting so it's 3am and they said I was getting admitted. I was like okay cool WHEN? The nurse tells me oh after 8am. WHAT??? She repeated it and added. Yeah we don't admit people until 8 upstairs. Like you are holding a bed in the ER because you are waiting for me to be admitted? While someone can be utilizing this bed in the ER? So while I wait I was informed I had a UTI and after the CT I had 2 kidney stones. I 5mm descending from my ureter and into my bladder while I had an 8mm still logged in my kidney trying to exit the kidney but it was too big. read more

I never thought I'd be writing a negative review during such a heartbreaking time, but our experience at Riverside Community Hospital's Emergency Room deserves to be addressed. After receiving a 5:00 AM call from the ICU doctor urging our family to visit a critically ill loved one before the end of the day, we arrived hoping to say our goodbyes peacefully. Instead, we were met with hostility from a security guard named Giovanni, who repeatedly denied us access--even after nurse and doctor approval had already been given. He refused to listen when we explained that my husband's brother had driven in from Temecula while recovering from stage 4 cancer and recent surgery, and that ICU had cleared 3 people to visit (we were fully willing to comply with that limit). Giovanni continually contradicted staff, interrupted me when I tried to speak, and berated me loudly in front of others when I attempted to retrieve my forgotten phone -- falsely assuming I was trying to sneak back without permission. Later, he forced elderly and at-risk family members to wait outside in 86+ degree heat when the waiting room was nearly empty -- putting their health at risk for no reason I can understand. It felt like a power trip, not policy enforcement. Thankfully, Tina and Kate from the hospital staff stepped in, confirmed the ICU's visitor policy, apologized sincerely, and moved us to the consult room. Their kindness reminded me that there are compassionate professionals here. Unfortunately, Giovanni's behavior left us feeling dehumanized at one of the most emotionally fragile moments of our lives. I hope the hospital provides better training for their security staff -- especially for those assigned to the ER. Families deserve to be treated with dignity and empathy, not suspicion and scorn. read more

My son was transferred to this hospital due to a medical emergency and was discharged two days later because the ENT doctor didn't think it was anything serious yet the doctor in Orange County said he had a rare infection in his throat that was near his jugular vein and it was a high risk for blood clots.. upon arriving home my son complained about fatigue including dizziness. That night my son experienced nausea with dizziness and cold sweats. He got up to shower and all of a sudden he started to turn super pale his skin almost ashy white and purple around his eyes. I drove him back and told them he was experiencing shortness of breath and they said u will need to wait in the waiting room to be called I was like okay my son's oxygen was at 88 and within minutes he turned ashy white and went limp they finally took him to the back. The nurses are so rude and they have zero empathy for the patients or their family members .. they ignore a simple pillow request. When u talk to them to ask questions they seemed bothered like they don't t want to talk to you.
