I had Dr. Lazar as my obgyn 11 years ago. At the time, she was located inside St. Bernardines…read moreHospital. She made me feel absolutely comfortable and had so much patience. She kindly explained all of the info that I needed to know, took great care of me and my baby, gave me wonderful advice, and finally, performed a perfect c-section to my healthy baby boy that was just too stubborn to come out lol I didn't want a cesarean but we had no choice because my son was blocking the cervix with his arm and being a "money grabber" as they referred to him as. In order to avoid injuring him, we decided a c-section was the best choice. Dr. Lazar knew how nervous I was for the surgery.. I had planned on no meds and now had no choice but to have them. But after all was said and done and my son was delivered, I knew that I would definitely look for Dr. Lazar in the future for any other children I may have someday. Glad to see she's apparently still in the area for when that time comes. She was so amazing that I brought my son to visit a couple of times until she was no longer at the main hospital. Thanks to her help, I have the most handsome and genius 10 year old child one mom could ever ask for. My overachiever, scholar, and athlete. Thanks Dr. Lazar!

She was the only Dr I could find that was taking new patients due to COVID-19. I've had pain in uterus for years and every time I went to the hospital they would say I have cysts but nothing to worry about, or that they just couldn't find anything. From the first phone call the office staff was extremely pleasant and squeezed me in the next day. My first visit Dr Lazar knew what was going on with my and scheduled surgery 3 weeks later. I couldn't believe that someone finally believed me. The day of surgery, she could read the anxiety on my face and Dr Lazar held my hand until I fell asleep. She assured me that she was going to make this pain go away. Today pain be gone. Thank you so much for giving me my life back. I went through years of pain and drs telling they can't find anything to Dr Shelley Lazar MD taking one good look at uterus and scheduled surgery. Thank you to you and your staff. I was truly blessed to be referred to your office. Not to sure if the front desk lady who squeezed me in but a special thanks to you specifically you're amazing!

Asked if I wanted to do Amniocentesis (needle in belly) to check for SMA to be 100% if I was negative and I said no then he said okay sign refusal and then the tech or assistant walked me out. Never saw him again went at least once a month for my high risk scans due to high blood pressure. The techs never talked during the exam. When my OB wanted me to do NST I asked to do them at their office. Dr.Brars office had these old dirty lazy boy chairs that couldn't be cleaned from patient to patient. The wait time was an hour multiple times for a 5 minute appointment. I work at a hospital and I am a medical professional and I felt like I was herded like cattle in this office. We have limited medical resources for high risk Doctors in this area and he takes advantage of it.

Wait times are close to an hour but you're only seen by the tech/provider for less than 5 minutes. They also performed my 20 week anatomy scan here and it took maybe 3-4 minutes? There's no way this was a proper scan. And the 3 pictures they gave me were so low quality and blurry. Before coming to Brar's, I had a scheduled anatomy scan with a radiology clinic and was advised by my obgyn to keep it. At that appt they took a solid 25-30 minutes and gave me sooo many pictures. You can see the difference in quality, left is the radiology center and the right side is Dr. Brar's.

Due to complications -- my baby measuring in the 1st percentile -- I was advised that all imaging and high-risk care would be handled through Dr. Brar's office. From early on, I was repeatedly told they were convinced the issue had to be genetic. We went through more in-depth NIPT testing, and everything came back normal, yet that assumption never seemed to shift or be further investigated. Starting in January 2026, I was seen weekly at Dr. Brar's office. During this time, I rarely saw Dr. Sadjadi and trusted that between both offices, my care was being properly managed. Looking back, that trust feels incredibly misplaced. Despite being seen every single week for a high-risk pregnancy, not once was my blood pressure checked. I was later diagnosed with preeclampsia, with blood pressure reaching 158/102 -- a serious and dangerous condition that should have been caught much earlier with routine monitoring. Instead, it was missed entirely. This ultimately led to an emergency induction and the devastating loss of my baby. There are no words to fully describe the pain of that loss. What makes it even harder is knowing that something as basic and standard as checking blood pressure -- a fundamental part of prenatal care, especially in high-risk cases -- was completely overlooked during consistent, weekly visits. Aside from the lack of care, the office was also consistently behind schedule. I was almost never seen on time, often waiting 30-45 minutes past my scheduled appointment. While delays can happen, this was a recurring issue and only added to the overall frustration and lack of confidence in the care being provided. I feel deeply let down by both Dr. Brar's office and Dr. Sadjadi at Optum. The lack of attention, oversight, and accountability during such a critical time in my life is something I will carry with me forever. Because of this experience, I cannot recommend their care to others.
