I told him I had my own parts since I had planned to do it myself and he agreed to do labor to put parts on which is why I gave 2 stars instead of one. When I came to pick my truck up he told me his mechanic had a hard time with the job. He stated he was cussing and screaming over it. Bob told me I had not normal brakes on my truck and it took a long time to do them. That is not true. Tacoma trucks have the same drum brakes on the rear from 05 to 2023. He charged me 294 dollars for labor. So beware, his mechanic is just slow but you have to pay for more labor because of his inability to do the job in a timely manner. Bob even asked me if i wanted a mechanic job. When I got home I realized my emergency brake was not adjusted out after in stalling the shoes so I have barely a emergency brake at all. I had to crawl under truck to check on brakes I see he did not replace my dust plugs on brake adjuster hole nor put caps on grease fittings. I am 68 and on fixed income but Bob told me he felt bad for charging me so much when it should of only been about 150. Boy that made me feel better. I was pretty upset so I just left. Thinking about calling credit card company to see about recourse.
