He does NOT communicate with you or even answer your calls to follow up with them. He even took my car to another shop without my knowledge and when I asked him where is my car, I than call the location and even went up there and they told me my car was not there. I ask again where is my car and he refuse to share the actual location where my car was and making up more excuses. He refuse to document what work was actually done from the other location and any update from what he did. 2 month later I spent 2k and the problem is not fixed. Never again.

I had paid A & J Automotive…read morea really unreasonable amount of money to rebuild my transmission in my Yukon and it had not lasted even two months of the 6 months that it was warranted for before it started jumping out of gear again. I took it to Chris. He tore it down right in front of me and showed me where pieces fit that had been left out. He ordered all new parts and something called a Z-kit that was supposed to make the transmission more durable than when it was new. Once he finished it and it was back in my truck, there hasn't been even a slight problem of any kind and it has been nearly 2 years since he rebuilt it. Today, I bought a Silverado SWB project with a bad transmission. I wouldn't DARE take it to anyone other than Chris.

I took my car to Chris because I wanted it to have a harder shift and a cleaner take off. He listened to what I said, made the adjustments, and gave me a torque converter, a shift kit and modified the valve body spacer plate. He kept my transmission for about a week, but he did what I asked. Pretty good Chris. If I wanted to tweek the transmisisons in my other cars, he would be the guy to do it.

I exited the freeway and pulled into a random parking lot checking them out. They looked fine but I was unsure. I looked across the street and I saw Red Oak Auto Repair and I pulled in right after they opened and I explained what was going on and they checked every tire, offered me some water and coffee, and they got me together. Confirmed that it was a censor that was malfunctioning but still give me a little more air than what was required just in case there was leak or something since I was driving far. They were so kind. They didn't have to do any of that, especially since I didn't spend any money there. if you are in that area, i 100% recommend them.

Fortunately our needed repair was…read moresupposed to be minor, but every time that check engine light comes on in a 20 year old Dodge Ram 1500, you just never know. Red Oak Auto Repair Center is a beautiful new limestone and red brick building on Ovilla Road near where we live in Glenn Heights. They've been open a few months and we decided to drop by and present our truck's problem. We had been told that the EGR valve and gasket needed replaced and our usual oil change and simple repairs place would be unable to do it. We were greeted immediately by a friendly young man who introduced himself as Mo. Mo listened, understood what another place had to say about the issue and offered to do a free diagnostic while we waited. I have to say that the waiting area is more like a living room than your standard waiting area. There are two distinct areas. One side has a coffee bar with snacks and a refrigerator with drinks and water. The unisex restroom is on that side in the corner. There's a four kettle chair seating group with a table, rug and a wall TV. Across the room is a comfy long couch and two chair set with tables, large area rug and a wall TV. The light green walls were a wonderful change from automotive or industrial design and there was lots of natural light. Just a lovely airy welcoming room. We had showed up somewhere around closing time not knowing really that they would start on the repair. They choose to and in the end, we waited until they closed. They had to go buy a part and on the Ram 2006, the part was very difficult to get to and then get out, as it was rusted in place. Mo kept us aware of everything as it developed and offered to drive us home and bring the truck to us after the repair was done in the morning. We lived but a few miles away. The repair with tax, labor and parts was $324.75. They worked hard on this repair. This truck has never been housed in a garage. Dodge Rams live long but this is the second engine. It's been awhile since we have had a repair other than A/C or a turn signal. Given what Red Oak Auto Repair did for us and the great rapport we established, I can say we'll definitely be back!
