I was very excited about this store when we stopped to look in the windows when the store was closed. Arriving in my old Ford pickup versus my Audi S4 because the pickup has hauling capacity, we were met with a scowl from a blonde woman wearing glasses standing at the front door. Her facial expression was a mix of surprise and disappointment as if we weren't the type of people who she pictured shopping in her store. We entered the store excitedly and were met with zero greeting from blondie nor the woman behind the register which was disappointing considering the prices of the furniture. If you're a consignment store selling $4000 USED sofas, you better greet every customer with a smile because you need to convince us we should spend $4k on a USED piece of furniture. Even if it was new, you still need to develop a relationship with your customer to convince them they not only NEED to spend $4k on a sofa but they NEED to spend more at your store. I received 100x better service at SC41 for a $2500 brand new custom sofa than I did at REDO for a USED $4k sofa. I do not recommend visiting here unless you like to give money to businesses that think they are better than you are. read more

It was great for a while, but I am no longer a fan. The store looks really jumbled and junky these days. The last lot of items I consigned with them was not featured at all -- just jammed into corners, really -- and did not sell well. One of the unsold items was badly damaged while in the shop (when you consign an item, you sign a release absolving them of any responsibility for damage while an item is in their care). Redo Consign and redesign is the real thing. It is not full of new furniture masquerading as unique or junk. The owner is meticulous and fussy about what she picks and resells. She has a good eye for quality and style and will help you find what you need, She has helped me furnish my veterinary clinic for a song and I have hired her as a color and style consultant. F a b u l o u s! I was driving by Commercial Way (across from Marshalls) & noticed Redo Consign & Redesign Shop had moved from Scotts Valley. I pulled in immediately to see the new Store. I must say it was Huge & Packed with every style of Home Decor' imaginable. I'm so thrilled to have Scored on a few items that you couldn't find anywhere else locally. I've shopped at Robin's Redo Consignment Store for years but was so excited that she's moved into this Wonderful new space. It really showcases all of her Furnishings & Home Accessories. Robin goes the extra mile for her customers as she allowed me to take home my items for a trial run. Of course I Loved every one of them. Well staged expensive hand me downs. Came with a friend who was seeking a sofa, but no luck with scoring anything even remotely reasonable.

I was chagrined to hear that yelp had pulled many of the good reviews for this delightful shop due to the fact that they were just too glowing. The fact is, this store does merit 5 stars & rave reviews because it is a real find! Well presented, desirable stock, reasonable prices, and a very friendly & helpful owner - what more could you ask for? We were thrilled to find this place while out from NY - got a great piece with which we are pleased as punch. The owner helped with arranging shipping services. Not sure why a few reviewers think Redo has overpriced items! I found a queen headboard for $100 and a really cool wood chest of drawers for $200. The owner is very careful to consign only items that are in extremely good condition. And the pieces in the store are so different from what I can find at stores selling new furniture. I have been in the store several times and it appears new items pop up continually. The owner is delightful, too! read more

So surprised to read the comment from L.B. I have sold many items through REDO and have had very positive experience. I have had items sell within the time frame and received my portion of the sale. I have also had items not sell and have honored my agreement and picked them up. Let's remember, this is a consignment store, not a storage facility. Yes, you should always read your contract. The owner is very fair and most often will continue to try to sell items for her customers past the 90 days. I guess I would be curious as to how long L.B. left her items at the store uncollected. read more

If you haven't checked out Redo's new location, you're missing out. Its much bigger than their previous location with a lot more stuff to choose from. There's always a great variety of furniture and accessories from all over the world and some really cool mid-century and antique stuff too. I drop by every time I get to town to see what new things they have in that week. Their inventory changes frequently. They have things you just can't find at a show room, design show or in a magazine. It takes a special kind of buyer to run around and really hunt down the unique and extraordinary items.
