Attilia's Antiques outside is deceiving, as the inside is a maze of dealers throughout a building that seems to sprawl in directions with dealer's booths at every turn. There are many objects to be found, from vintage to real antiques. There is a huge outdoor garden area full of plants and outdoor accessories. Found this place on Yelp while travelling. Like to any new city we go to we always look up antique places. This place was easy enough to find and it happen to be pouring down that day. I'm glad they had stepping stones to get to the shop. We were greeted right away upon coming on in shop, The lady that works there told me the lay out is like a H shape building. Give your self plenty of time to look around and make sure you look up as well. They do have a outdoor garden Center booth outside, unfortunately I was not able to go out there and take a look that day because it was completely flooded out from the rain they have been getting. The cashier even manages to gaslight the patient customer when one's face is grim watching them add up ea separate item into ea separate paper receipt book, calculate tax separately on ea receipt book, razor blade tags off vintage items, tape ea tag onto ea receipt book, *then* add up ea separate receipt into a combined total - no generated separate receipt tape. This place is a hidden gem! There is so much to look at! They have jewelry, pottery, crystals, clothes, home decor, cutlery, plants, furniture etc. Prices range here; they accept cash or card. I must echo some of the other reviewers by saying that this is the best antique store in Santa Cruz! There are millions of things to look at from all different types of sellers. Even though there are so many items, the store is nicely organized by theme, and not overwhelming. I have found many vintage milk glass vases here at extremely reasonable prices, up to $15 cheaper than I would pay online. Staff is super friendly and helpful, they offer to hold your treasures up front while you're still browsing. If you have some free time, go get lost at Attilia's! They also have a sister store down the road called Trader's Emporium, it's very nice as well. read more

We found this place on yelp. They have a small parking lot. They have a lot of stuff definitely a lot of antiques. I personally did not find anything. My husband found a really nice pot for plants. It was priced reasonably. Overall okay store. read more

I can't possibly put into words what exactly Attilia's Antiques has to offer because if I did, you would be reading this for days when you really need to go and experience it first hand. When I say they have 1000's of items for sale, I am not even coming close to how large their inventory is. I am not a huge shopper. I get easily overwhelmed in places that are jam packed with merchandise and while Attilia's is by far the largest market under one roof that I've ever experienced, it is so interesting, so diverse that I don't even notice the 638 pair of eyes staring right at me (dolls, mainly collectibles and antique)!!! Seriously, you can browse in there for hours :) It is a co-op owned by individual vendors and every vendor that I have seen so far has prices that are not only fair, they are cheap! I don't like using that word, especially because their goods are quality but that is the truth. I would be absolutely amazed if you walked out empty handed because they have EVERYTHING and yes, even under the sun in their outside area you will find more! The ladies (mostly it seems) are all delightful and eager to help, along with very knowledgeable. Inexpensive, unique and so much fun!!! You just have to see it yourself! I went here for the first time during summer and now I take new people here all the time! I was trapped here for hours looking at all the collected trinkets throughout the years. Each booth had a different theme or time era. My favorite booth was the one in the back near the restroom. It is Victorian themed and powdery pink, very gaudy and chic I was obsessed! Found some cool shirts and a pair of jeans that was reasonably priced too! read more

So I buy a scale there....the next day it break in half. The only reason I am giving two stars is because when I called back the owner was nice and said she would reach out to the dealer about refunding me some or all of my money. She said she would give her my number so we could connect. NEVER heard anything. So I buy this scale for $175 and then have to for out another $135+ to get it welded back together! Very poor business! I'm sorry but if the dealer is acting like that I wouldn't be having them in my store. Be a good person and do the right thing if you are selling something that is broken! read more

On the plus side, good prices and a wide selection in this place. There's something for everyone, and I like it when booths in an antique mall have consistent presentation and pricing. But there were some unforgivable glitches to the visit. One booth had a pointy iron tool right at shin height and painfully snagged my bare leg. The employees really don't know what's going on, and every question or comment seems to require a committee decision and a phone call. They use an old school hand-written receipt system, so if you buy a lot of items from multiple vendors, be prepared for a looooong checkout. Egregiously, my friend was charged full price for several items on a 50% off shelf. When she realized their error and called them about it, no apology or offer to correct their mistake in any way, effectively ripping her off. She wouldn't have selected the items at full price. In response to the negative review 2 weeks ago. I was the clerk that asked a woman and her sister to leave. The woman used profanity and raised her voice when insisting that we were listening in to her private conversations and following them, when we most certainly were not. As we explained to the sisters, we have what we call Floor Walkers. These clerks walk the store seeing if customers need help, have questions, need a case unlocked to see an item, perhaps help finding a particular item. We even offer to take our customers' purchase up to the counter so they can have their hands free to continue to shop. We don't tolerate profanity and asked the sisters to leave as we did not want to make our other customers uncomfortable. read more

The employees here were beyond rude. My husband was in the store enjoying the antiques while we were waiting to be seated at Silver Spur( BTW awesome service and employees!) I was outside in the parking lot by a window adjusting my dogs collars and out of know where this woman with short blonde hair came up behind me and started screaming at me that that I needed to move because it was confusing her customers into thinking it was a doorway! I told her I was not trying to come in her store I was just sitting out waiting for my husband. I told her she did not need to be so rude and talk to me in that tone... she then screamed at me that " I know I'm the rudest person" I am an RN and a recent breast cancer survivor just trying to enjoy a Rare Sunday couples morning with my husband... I have been a Nurse for 25 years and have had some crazy patients and family members and not once have I ever talked to someone in that manner. This woman should not be in customer service... hopefully she will see that life is too short to talk to people that way read more

Everyone raves about this place, but in my opinion, it does not live up to it's reputation. In fact, I completely hate it. I'm local; I've visited this store a number of times over the years, and I've always been disappointed. Every single time I've been, the staff has been rude and only seems interested in chatting amongst themselves, or suspiciously following shoppers through the store. Most recently, my honey and I went shopping for an engagement ring. We checked out a lot of antique places (intentionally avoiding this one, given our past experiences), but nearly every shop directed us to Attilia's. And when I say directed, I mean heavily insisted that THIS was the place to look. I HAVE NO IDEA WHY. THEY DID NOT HAVE A SINGLE ENGAGEMENT RING. We walked in, told them we were shopping for engagement rings, and were curtly directed to look through a case that didn't have any rings. We told them there were no rings, and then they walked us to a case that contained only costume jewelry priced around $25 each. We tried to get someone's attention to ask again, but they were too invested in their conversation behind the counter to pay us any mind. We walked around to check for ourselves and were promptly followed through the store by someone who had been working behind the counter, too busy to help us only moments before, but apparently had plenty of time to follow us around and make us feel like criminals. Great friendly dealers, fair pricing, too many good things to list, wow! I had never visited before, I went for their holiday open house. It was fabulous, more items under one roof. They have dealers with varying sale prices for the holidays, I found some drawer pulls I have been looking for everywhere, and a few nice china pieces for family christmas presents. Even a vintage game of scrabble at a good price for my son. On my wish list is a really beautiful formica topped desk, hope my hubbie spots this review! Holy crows, is this place jam-packed with goods! It's a pretty big store, and even that bring said, the amount of products they have crammed into all of those mini show rooms is impressive. Some of my fave items: Antique typewriters (they had a few) Wild old pay phone Lots of kitchen products, including adorable tea cups and spice jars Tons of jewelry Old games, including dominoes Kitschy funky lamps Most of their products seem fairly over-priced, but I'm by no means an antique expert. But there's tons of opportunity for fix-er-up projects. My favorite part of the store is the garden. Oodles of succulents and plants in funky vases, cups, and pots. An upcycled pallet made into a vertical plant rack. Beautiful mosaic tiles... It's gorgeous out there. I picked up a couple of succulent varieties housed in old china pots. They really brighten up my porch. Great place to find inspiration and peruse their items. read more

Wow, I really liked this place, and ended up staying here for at least one hour. Even hubby found some stuff, and trust me ,he often prefers staying in the car. The selection is great but not as mind bending as I have found in other cities. Like most places the prices range from reasonable on up to insanely over priced. Treasures? It's a worth while stop for a look but treasures not so much. It's a loose mix of dealers organized in an authentically 831 fashion. Interesting but not much of value. I like the idea of finds here but it's akin to a bad day at the local flea. Precious prices on items somewhat collectible. Not wanting to be a poor sport, it's safe to say if you have an appetite for true vintage collectables this isn't the spot to satisfy that particular itch. read more
