I first reached out to Redtail in April 2022 with various questions about getting a charter from Durango to Moab in October 2022. I was nervous about the idea of booking a charter, in part because I didn't want to get stranded in Durango and miss an important event we had planned in Moab. Amanda was so incredibly helpful in answering all of my questions when I first booked our flight in April and all of my questions over the next six months. Amanda immediately gave me confidence in flying with Redtail and she was helpful in pointing me towards options for rental cars. When the day of our flight came Barbara picked us up in Durango. Barbara was welcoming, friendly, entertaining and most importantly a safe pilot. She even helped us load our luggage in our car which I thought was very kind. While she safely navigated from DRO to CNY she gave us some recommendations for what to see and where to eat in Moab and she pointed out some sights too. We loved that she pointed our Corona Arch because we hiked up to that arch later that afternoon. We really enjoyed our flight with Barbara! In addition to doing charter flights, Redtail Air Adventures specializes in scenic tours over Arches National Park and Canyonlands National Park. Redtail also does river shuttles such as dropping or picking up people who are going to hike, bike or raft somewhere in the wilderness and they need a one-way ride. Fortunately an airport worker suggested that I call Joe at VooDoo Air. Joe was nothing shout of amazing and was able to help me get my loved ones ashes deposited in the exact place I requested for a fare price. Bad weather did postpone the project for a couple of days and Joe the owner assured me that when the weather cleared we would finish the project. As a person that has lived in Moab for decades I don't know how I wasn't aware of Voodoo Air? They are truly a Moab treasure and I will recommend them to everyone in the future. Even though this was one of the busiest weeks of the year, we only had to wait a little for other off-road vehicles here and there. It was actually fun watching other rigs climb obstacles, so it never really felt like we were waiting. Robbie is the older brother, super funny, and my kids loved listening to his stories. Even my wife, who normally gets nervous with off-roading, felt very safe with him on Hell's Revenge. It is also absolutely worth paying extra for the Escalator. Not many people can make it up that hill, and Robbie made it look easy. These guys are the OGs of Moab. I have a semi off-road vehicle myself, and I know I would not be able to do 90% of what Robbie did today. He is an extremely skilled driver, and their jeep was built to handle just about anything. A lot of times it felt like we were about to fall off or crash, but that just shows how skilled and experienced Robbie is. Highly recommend. The little dinosaur footprint area was cool for 10 minutes. After two big hiking days at Arches, our kids were bored with the long car stops and short walks to viewpoints. If we did it again we would split Canyonlands across multiple half-days instead of one full day, or just accept it's more of a scenic-drive park with children.

The light show is not spectacular it's a truck on the road shining a flood light on the canyon wall while the story plays. Overall super boring, lacks enthusiasm and not at all what we were expecting. They need to change it up, do something different and be more expletive on the website to manage expectations.

We thought we would have to miss our balloon flight as we did not have a ride to the launch site. Lou contacted us in the early morning prior to the flight and offered a ride from one of his drivers. We had an epic flight at Sunrise with a champagne toast upon landing and couldn't be more grateful to Lou and his team for accommodating us.
