We went on the full day Jeep 4X4 Canyonlands/River rafting Fisher Towers tour. It was a fun day and I'm so glad we did it. Raz was a great guide for the jeep ride. I had never heard of Canyonlands and we saw parts that we would never have seen. It was awe-inspiring and so very beautiful. I felt very safe and he taught us a lot about the area but also gave us time just to soak it all in. My favorite part of our trip so far was this ride. We rafted in the afternoon with Evans and Sam. They both worked very hard navigating the rafts, setting up and breaking down the lunch, and loading and unloading rafts. The water is low so it is not a fast moving river but the winds were really strong and pushing against us. Evans kept a great attitude and engaged with everyone and maybe that is just the norm. I was exhausted watching him! We saw a bald eagle fly over and land very close to us and that was a great highlight! Overall, a great day! read more

Mark was great! He filled us in on the sights, what to see, how to be a good visitor, staying on the trails and was a great commentator. He also walked the walk, stopping occasionally to pick up trash left by others. And most important, he was fun, too. Highly recommended. read more

Ric is the greatest! Probably the best tour guide we've ever had. Luckily the other people in our group were no shows so, we had Ric all to ourselves. He's easy to talk to and within minutes it was like we'd known him for a long time. We had an absolutely awesome day in Arches. Ric took us off road. We saw several arches and parts of the park that most people don't get to see. The off roading was unbelievable! I don't know how the Jeep has the power to climb rocks. Amazing! Off roading is now my new favorite thing... bumpy and thrilling! We saw more of Arches National Park than I think most tourists see. The whole time Ric gave us info about each arch and the park itself. We stopped several times for photos and short walks. We got everything we expected and more from Ric and Adrift. I found booking this to be a little challenging. It was only a few days before my trip and I really needed to know if I was confirmed or if I needed to find some thing else. I did the online reservation but didn't hear back from them by the next day. I called the office and the guy who answered said they were going through the reservations they got the day before and I could call at the end of the day. I waited until the next morning just to make sure they had enough time and they still weren't able to confirm it until later that morning. It probably ended up being about a 48 hour wait. It all worked out, but it's challenging when you're booking close to your trip and you don't know if you need to make other plans. The trip itself and guide were great. We went places that the majority of visitors won't see at arches and I got some very cool pictures. We didn't go through the main part of the park, so if that's what you have your heart set on, that's probably isn't the right tour. read more

At the outset, it is important to know that this is a review of the overall experience including aspects of the experience that are completely outside of the control of Adrift Adventures including weather and river flow. Our family of five booked the all-day trip on July 11. With temperatures in the low 100s and a cloud-free sky, we were set up to be baked like burgers on a grill. Some of our party donned hats and sunglasses while others chose to face the elements unprotected, a choice that left them with skin tones redder than the towering rocks which bordered the river. Periodically, we escaped the scorching heat with a refreshing dip in the muddy river. The cool water provided welcome relief each time we abandoned the raft for the promise of a cool down. Our petite guide Hanah was strong and mighty, maneuvering the raft for seven hours without getting winded. Impressive! Hanah was personable and friendly and demonstrated a sincere interest in her guests. She conversed easily with all of the guests, making the rafting experience more enjoyable than it would have been otherwise. Five stars for Hanah. The river was flowing at a lazy 3000 cubic feet per second and the rapids were as exciting as a Giligan's Island rerun. Having experienced a thrilling adventure on this river seven years earlier, the river's rapids were like a box office sequel that bombed. I kept waiting for the excitement to come but it never came. For some, floating 13 miles past scenic red rocks may be considered a relaxing day well spent. For me, it felt like I spent $485 for a $250 experience. One star for the river flow and rapids. The riverside lunch consisted of wraps with cheese, meat, and veggies. Each guest was able to customize their wrap which was nice especially since I am not a fan of wraps. I was hungry so the wrap and the accompanying bag of potato chips provided my body with what it needed. Watermelon would have been truly refreshing but no such refreshment was hidden in the metal canisters produced by the river guides. The food did what it needed to do and no more. Three stars for the food. All in all, the day on the river was a three star experience. If I were to do it again, I would book it for only half a day and check river flow levels before spending the money. read more

Then about 40 minutes later, Adrift again called and cancelled our tour, since their guide was now sick. Our family took a week trip to Utah in June. We decided to take a quick day trip to the Moab area to visit Arches and Canyonlands National Parks. Because of our limited time in the area, my wife did some research and decided to take a Jeep your with Adrift Adventures to see Canyonlands. Our trip started earlier in the morning. We met at the location downtown. After quickly loading up, we headed off. Their Jeeps are new, very clean and comfortable. Our guide Adam was excellent! He was easy going and showed us lots of pints of interest and included interesting stories, but was never boring. In our 4 hour tour, we covered a decent part of the park. The views were incredible. Weather was in the mid 80's which was perfect. If we return to the area, I am sure we'll use Adrift Adventures again. read more

This Jeep tour is a great way to get off of the main road and see parts of the national parks that you otherwise would miss. Our tour guide Bill was great, he was very friendly, informative, and even supplied a GoPro accessory that went on the hood of the Jeep Wrangler to get footage from the Jeeps perspective without having to film from the inside of the car. We did the four hour Arches National Park Tour starting at 12:30PM. The main entrance was extremely packed so Bill took us through the off-road entrance which was a very cool experience. We then explored throughout the park and did a lot of the off-road parts such as the silver steps (Herdina Park Road). We saw many different arches and landmarks throughout these 4 hours and knew exactly what we would do the next day to fully complete our Arches National Park Experience. Highly recommend this tour as a first day at Arches type of thing or even the Needles section of Canyonlands (from what I hear). Thanks Bill for an epic tour experience! read more

My family and I took a road trip to Utah with our camper this month. We wanted to see the Arches but only had 2 days before we had to move on to the rest of the Mighty Five. A full day jeep tour of Arches and Canyonlands National Park. The only way to see the great places away from the crowds. We found the tour very enjoyable. Our guide, Chip, was knowledgeable and personable. He talked to us about the sights, the history, and the importance of maintaining the parks like we found them. Our day started with the Arches National Park. We entered the park from the far end and bypassed the crowds at the entrance. We saw all the must see spots and alot more "only gonna see on a tour" spots. Chip made sure we had time to absorb the beauty of each site... I never felt rushed. In the afternoon we went to Canyonlands. Again we entered from a different gate than if we drove. We saw all the great spots and then we went up Shafer Trail... only accessible by 4x4 and a driver with nerves of steel. Adrift Adventures provided water, lunch, and "sugars" during the tour. We were in very new jeeps which have AC and comfortable seats. The vehicles were in great mechanical condition and where very clean and they followed a "two vehicle rule" for safety. As a first time visitor to these great parks, I knew I wanted a guide. Any company approved by the Park Service is a safe bet, but I never expected the wonderful experience Adrift provided my wife and I. read more

I have done at least 5 multi day rafting trips (Desolation Canyon and Cataract Canyon) with Adrift over the past 10 years, and just as many day trips down the Colorado (the Daily and Westwater). I have rafted Desolation (2 other trips) and Westwater (1 other trip) with other companies, but Adrift has remained my solid favorite. The guides are fun, informative, and great with my students, the food is delicious, and I am always impressed with their organization and attention to detail. Of all the trips I've taken with Adrift, my most recent Desolation Canyon trip was probably my favorite. We had an amazing time and my students and I are currently suffering from river withdrawal. My husband and I went on two amazing 4 x 4 Jeep tours with the best guide, James. He is an amazing off-road driver, informative, warm, friendly, and funny. Our first trip was to Arches National Park, which was stunningly beautiful. We requested James for our second tour to the Island in the Sky in Canyonlands, which was beyond stunning. You have to see it to believe it!!! We were so glad we went to Arches first and Canyonlands second because Arches might have been slightly anti-climactic if we had done it in the reverse. Don't get me wrong; both were utterly amazing. Arches is eye candy: Canyonlands is awe-inspiring beyond anything we've ever seen, including the Grand Canyon. Word to the wise: Don't try to go off-road in an ordinary vehicle. The rocky terrain could put a hole in your oil pan or your engine, take out your axle, brake lines, and other important parts underneath your car. It's very difficult to get anyone to come and tow you out. The minimum charge is usually $2000. read more

We had one of our best days touring Canyonlands with these guys! They were totally prepared to do all the necessary COVID precautions and that made us comfortable! Bill and Mark knew all the best places to take us, had answers to all our off the wall questions and were totally prepared to supply all our needs from cell phone chargers to hand sanitizers, from snacks to step stools and knew all the best photo opportunities and how to get the perfect and fun shots. We had a lovely trip with our college-age(?) guide Kat. She's both so strong and smart, taking our group of 10 through one rapid after another single-handly. The before and after of the trip (the booking process and office check-in logistics) were smooth as well. Lunch was yummy and generous. Highly recommend this company and our guide Kat. The only reason I gave 4 stars out of 5 is because of the lunchtime was delayed because the other rafts that were supposed to meet us missed the lunch stop. So we had to move on to another stop down the stream, and everyone was so very hungry. read more

Each year adrift takes our 80-100 person group down desolation at around the same time. Each year the experience is nothing short of exceptional. Cam, Kristie, Chris, and Krista were beyond professional and did an amazing job communicating not only with the 20 or so people in our launch but also with the other boaters on the river. Cam even went out of his way to help some boaters who seemed inexperienced and lost to find their way to a camp for the night. Despite the fact that camps we planned to go to were taken by private boating groups and outward bound folks, we still managed to find great spots and share resources fairly. Each year I'm so impressed with how this company manages resources with our quite large group to meet our needs while keeping the river quiet. Our group of 9 - 4 adults and 5 kids ages 8-12 - went on a full day rafting trip with Tyler and Everett as our guides on two separate rafts. From start to finish, Tyler and Everett were awesome! I sat in the raft with Everett and felt very confident in his skill with and knowledge of the river. He shared fun stories that made the trip extra interesting, and always provided detailed instructions and fair warning before the bigger rapids. We hit some amazing rapids and made it through with flying colors! While I wasn't in the raft with Tyler, our family members who rode with him were equally impressed and had an amazing time. Lunch was impressive - set up a nice buffet (in the blistering heat no less!) with our guides always mindful of covid-19 precautions. They used gloves and face coverings and provided hand sanitizer prior to any handling of food. Very knowledgeable about the local flora and fauna as well as the park itself. Took a canyon land tour today. Joshua was our guide the was super knowledgeable and was super patient with my elderly parents that had some mobility issues. The owner of the company was pleasant at the end of the tour but was short and abrupt when dealing with him. Recently went on a 6 day 5 night rafting trip with adrift adventures. To desolation canyon. Must say didn't know what to expect but it turned out to be a great trip and a great adventure. Myke the owner was very helpful and answered all our questions and was very accommodating to all our needs. He set us up with two awsome guides kelly and Isaac. Both were extremely knowledgeable about the river and the places to stop, hike and see petroglyphs. They were also great in taking care of our needs and taking care of us.
