When we mentioned this to other auto repair shops, most couldn't believe anyone could conceive of charging that much. If you ever need a new car battery, just go down to Sams club. The battery will cost you around $80 and they install it for free. Cole Valley still charged us $76.00 for simply getting the car on the rack and taking it off, since we told them we don't want to use them for the battery installation.

There was nothing actually wrong with the defrosting mechanism itself. I am very grateful I did not have to purchase a new rear windshield, it saved me a considerable amount of money that I didn't have to spend. I did replace the front windshield as it has a crack in it from interstate driving in Ohio. It was very reasonable and does the job. I appreciate the excellent customer service and honesty!

This seems absurd since the complaint was about their location and the fact that they told me it was warranty, then lied and said they would not stand by their word, and then wanted to put it against my insurance again. Safelite used to be a great company. I assume margins and greed have taken over your ethics. Now my car sits going on three weeks with busted windshield.

Two days later I called my insurance company to see how long it take to finalize my claim. They were missing a form from Gerber and called to request the information. Representative was told it would be sent soon. On the following Monday my insurance company called again and one more time on Tuesday before the information was finally sent to my insurance provider. I can't possibly recommend this business. My car was totaled and it took a week to forward information to my insurance company.
