Kase and his crew are polite, professional, timely and very customer-oriented. Kase initially helped us design the fence and then we thoroughly enjoyed having his crew at our house for the installation. Family affair with great people and easy to have around. Ashleigh in the office kept us appraised of progress and was very accomodating when we had delays on our end due to other contractors. They just rolled with it. Secondly, the finished product is absolutely stunning, with obvious pride of workmanship! It's kind of hard to get excited about a pool fence, but let me say that rather than an "industrial" looking standard type of black and straight fence, they custom made a rusted, architecturally sensitive fence that blends in with the elements of the yard beautifully. It looks like art in my backyard! Lastly, pricing was very reasonable, and more than competetive with other bids I received. Retrospectively, I think this was money very well spent and was so much more than even anticipated. I highly recommend this fabricator and would consider using them again. I informed him that I would not be home at the time he chose for installation, he said that would be no problem. But the install date came and no gates . I waited thirty days past install date and was told another month the gates would be finished. Numerous excuses and delays. Finally he showed up to install the very large and heavy gates alone. Being it was late in the afternoon he dropped off the gates and said he would return the next day. We noticed on one of the gates it was a foot too short also numerous areas that had damage. We took photos and sent them along with our concerns to him. His response was very angry and unprofessional , that's all I have to say about it. He came to our home the next day and took the gates and never returned to finish the job . So i even tried reaching out to have the job completed and was told no not interested too busy. A little bummed I moved on and stopped in at Santa Rita Steel - whole different ball of wax. They have a friendly and helpful staff and a relaxed atmosphere. They actually took me out to the yard and showed me different material options and even some sample fence sections in the back - helping me change my plan a bit and get the correct amount of material ordered up. To my surprise, no one sold these GE plates in the whole state of AZ. In fact, I was told by several people including electricians that I would need to spend thousands of dollars to upgrade my box because it was from the early 80's. I am in no position to spend that kind of money. My inspector simply require I have a deadplate covering my breakers. So I got busy calling around to several metal and steel business to request a plate be made. Due to COVID 19 many places didn't have the bandwidth to get this done in a 24/48hr turnaround time or they didn't/won't due this type of work. I was desperate because my deadline was fast approaching. To my surprise, I was guided to contact Santa Rita Steel. I spoke with Poncho and well, the rest is history. The workscope includes framing the "window blind" using 2"x2" 14 gauge square steel tube in manner that completely blocks out any view of overlooking neighbor window from within my parcel. ACIW sent a capable crew and said they'd return with a bigger welding device. So we are now anticipating return to: A. Complete framing for copper (facing South) panels, B. Concrete and blocks set in drums as anchors require, C. Fasten copper (facing South) panels to raise fenceline 42". The image at end of day one, "Start up day," shows 3 (55 gallon steel) black drums, framing tubes in 2x2, 1x1 sizes. Return date was 16MAR25. The overall effect was suspending 30' linear feet of 42" of sheets suspended on 2" square tubed poles. My recommendation remains for ACIW cause it took two guys 1/2 a day, and too many in this metal working arena try to exploit consumers. It's true, I spoke with several from $500 to $8100 for this "little project." (TIM ROMANO) ACIW was not cheapest, but Fabian stood behind our agreement. With so many saying so different things, I can say that this outfit including Fabian & father is a solid value, hands down.
