Nice Small Family Owned Business. You can see how over the years they expanded. The added food truck is smart to keep the guest. Beer options were nice and Mars our bartender was friendly.

Very enjoyable Dry Irish Stout from Redwood Curtain!

Redwood Curtain was an excellent brewery we went to when we went to the Eureka area recently. It was one of our first breweries for this town and it was a nice kick off! I got an awesome Dry Irish Stout! Living up to it's name it had a dry flavor, smoothness, coffee and creamy flavors and textures. Steve really liked his beer that he got (though I can't quite recall what he got I do remember the praise). Definitely a worthy brewery to go to and they have another location in nearby Arcata as well.

We adore Redwood Curtain Brewing & its Cookin Nook food truck in Eureka! It has great vibes, delicious beer and incredible food for all tastes. Their beer selection is huge, and there is a detailed menu with tasting notes (and friendly, knowledgeable staff) to help you decide. Prices are very reasonable always, and even $1 cheaper Mon-Fri 4-6 for Happy Hour, so you can try lots of varieties. The Cookin Nook food truck there has a great menu too, with mouthwatering burgers & fries/onion rings, fresh, loaded salads, homemade dips with flatbread, grain bowls, warm sweet treats... anything you could want. Coming here is always fun, but they also have frequent recurring special events like complimentary Bingo & group trivia with prizes, live music... They have an extensive event calendar you can check out! I could rave on & on, and I bet you will too after you visit. :)

First time there, went for a co workers going away shin dig. I don't drink so I just got a water and an order of sweet potato fries. The fries were good but not very fluffy if that makes sense. It was good vibes and a cool spot.

    Pale ale.

I for one have become sour to the idea that a bartenders only quality is the accumulation of facial piercings. When one asks about a beer you answer should not be it looks like that on over there, pointing to a table across the room. Redwood Curtain needs to do better at hiring. Other then yay it just a local beer spot.

Food truck available, see menu, but we were scheduled to go to Smalls Fusion Comfort (another 5 star review).

The vibe is exactly what you want from a coastal brewery--casual, beachy, relaxed, and just the right amount of bar energy. I ordered the French dip, which was delicious and piping hot, although it was a little saltier than I prefer. My husband ordered the shrimp tacos, and apparently they were so good that I am now concerned about the stability of my marriage. He literally declared that he was leaving me for the chef. I guess the tacos were that good. The shrimp tacos came with fresh, flavorful salsa that really stood out, and everything arrived hot and quickly. Our server absolutely was friendly, attentive, and FAST--which we very much appreciated. Getting the check however took FOREVER! I think our server went out to lunch. :/ And the beer selection on tap? Lots of choices, and everything was served perfectly. Overall: great food, great beer, quick service, fun atmosphere, and apparently life-changing shrimp tacos. If you're in the area, put Lost Coast Brewery on your list. Just keep an eye on your spouse if they order the shrimp tacos. Apparently that's where things get dangerous.

From the moment…read morewe walked in, the staff made us feel welcome, the food arrived quickly, and everything we ordered hit the mark. Add in a solid lineup of beers, and it's easy to see why this place has become a local favorite. We sampled several beers across the menu, from crisp lagers to darker, malt-forward brews, and every pour was well-crafted and full of flavor. Whether you're a hop lover or prefer something smooth and easy-drinking, there's a beer here for you. The food was just as impressive. The shrimp tacos were fresh and flavorful with a nice kick, the burger was juicy and piled high with bacon and all the classic fixings, and the French dip was tender, served with a rich au jus that made every bite better. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, making it a great stop whether you're grabbing lunch after exploring the Redwoods or winding down after a day on the coast. Great beer, great food, great service--Lost Coast Brewery is an easy recommendation and a must-visit while you're in Eureka.
