The pink one they had sold and she told me that I could always go to the other health medical store in town if I didn't like the selection. So after no communication I called the other and they don't carry in store walkers. That Corner Medical is the only one in Rapids who does. Hibbing 30 miles away will. Like wow. The sales agent at Corner Medical more than likely knew the other one in town didn't carry them when she told me I could go there to see if they had a pink one. So when I got home I called the Corner Stone head office to see if they had a pink one. After three days I was able to secure one and had it shipped to the Grand Rapids store. I told the nice person, Brian that every person who walks in their door deserves to feel significant. That they matter. This person in the store did not appear go care if I was there or not. Like I was disturbing her from the monitor she was looking at. I told Brian that if I need a certain truck on another dealer's lot in Minneapolis all I have to do is have the local dealer transfer it up as a dealer trade. I can get a 70 grand truck up here with less hassle than a 205.00 walker. I asked him if he could do that. He said he thought so. And ultimately that is what happened. People. Medicare will cover the cost of a flimsy cheap four wheel walker. But if you want one stronger and more safe they only cover half of the cost which still is at least helpful. I am 68 and felt like the Grand Rapids store clerk didn't care at all of she helped me or not. Imagine what an 78, or 88 year old person would have been treated like if they wanted a specific color instead of what was on the floor display. The only real help I got was by talking with the New Hope branch employee Brian who was very nice and acted like I mattered as a customer. When the Grand Rapids representative was talking on the phone with them about the walker I wanted she told them she would document my file. Once I get my walker I will do another review on how competing the transaction went.
