When we got to the site and our room,the Zinfandel suite, we put the code in and there was someone already in our room and in the bed. We parked a vehicle in the parking lot earlier and had called to confirm reservation and about leaving the car but no response from them so figured it was okay. The guy was related to the owner and ended up calling them about the screw up. He got the code for another room, the winemakers suite, so we ended up staying but was still freaked out that someone could get our new room code so we didn't sleep well. Noticeable amount of cockroaches were around too. Haven't heard anything from the owner about the mix up. No apology or anything.

Ms. Linda, the innkeeper/property owner is delightful and definately has the personality for the roll. She will not rest until everyone is happy, true and authentic country hospitality. Located in Reedley, and set on a beautiful plum orchard, the country inn is a picturesque cottage surrounded by courtyards, gardens, paths, and litterally thousands of roses in every color imaginable. The residences are immaculately clean and well kept. A full, gourmet country breakfast is served each morning in the main house. Ms. Linda is a terrific host and attends to your every need. A simple acknowledgment, apology, or effort to communicate the room change beforehand would have gone a long way. Instead of trying to resolve the issue, I was told that maintenance might not be available because they didn't know when the owner or maintenance would arrive. I was also told I was "more than welcome to leave," which is not an acceptable way to treat a paying guest. The one bright spot during my stay was the housekeeping staff. They were kind, professional, and did an excellent job. They deserve recognition for their hard work. Unfortunately, because of the poor customer service, rude attitude at the front desk, failure to honor my room request, and lack of concern when I reported a problem with the room, I cannot recommend staying here.
