We had a variety of tacos with four different meats and homemade tortillas. The burrito was big and tasty. We also tried the excellent traditional goat soup that was filled with flavor. The goat soup is made with a variety of different meats including stomach lining so be aware. The salsas were fresh and they had a oily Japanese chili salsa that was unique and delicious. My only criticism would be that they don't make their own tortilla chips yet, relying on some bagged variety but I'll give them a pass for being new. I'm guessing that they will update that in the future when they start getting more business. All in all a nice surprise out in the country.

I specifically booked a king room because I was staying for multiple nights and preferred the room layout. Two queen beds take up considerably more space, and the room felt more cramped than what I had reserved. When I inquired about the change, the response was essentially that no king rooms were available, with little effort made to address the situation or offer an apology. To Expedia's credit, they provided a small compensation after I filed a complaint. However, I was disappointed by the hotel's handling of the issue. A simple acknowledgment, apology, or effort to communicate the room change beforehand would have gone a long way. The room itself was acceptable, but customer service and communication fell short of expectations.

I had requested a non-smoking room and a specific room in advance, but when I arrived, I was told all of those rooms were reserved and was given a smoking room instead. The customer service at the front desk, particularly from the older ladies, was rude and dismissive. When I explained that the room was extremely hot and would not cool down, even after the door had been closed for two to three hours, my concerns were brushed aside. Instead of trying to resolve the issue, I was told that maintenance might not be available because they didn't know when the owner or maintenance would arrive. I was also told I was "more than welcome to leave," which is not an acceptable way to treat a paying guest. The one bright spot during my stay was the housekeeping staff. They were kind, professional, and did an excellent job. They deserve recognition for their hard work. Unfortunately, because of the poor customer service, rude attitude at the front desk, failure to honor my room request, and lack of concern when I reported a problem with the room, I cannot recommend staying here.
