To Expedia's credit, they provided a small compensation after I filed a complaint. However, I was disappointed by the hotel's handling of the issue. A simple acknowledgment, apology, or effort to communicate the room change beforehand would have gone a long way. When I explained that the room was extremely hot and would not cool down, even after the door had been closed for two to three hours, my concerns were brushed aside. Instead of trying to resolve the issue, I was told that maintenance might not be available because they didn't know when the owner or maintenance would arrive. I was also told I was "more than welcome to leave," which is not an acceptable way to treat a paying guest. The one bright spot during my stay was the housekeeping staff. They were kind, professional, and did an excellent job. They deserve recognition for their hard work. Unfortunately, because of the poor customer service, rude attitude at the front desk, failure to honor my room request, and lack of concern when I reported a problem with the room, I cannot recommend staying here.

The next day I ran into her again and we had another nice chat, thank you for being so kind, great staff member. The property itself is updated throughout. Nice lobby, nice common areas, rooms are clean, they have a mini fridge and coffee maker, beds are comfy. The bathroom had a nice glass shower and tile. This property also has a small outdoor pool, mini business center, a meeting room, free parking with a large lot, an excellent gym (more on that) and of course complimentary breakfast. Speaking of breakfast, Nora is a one woman show and did an amazing job. The eggs, potatoes and sausage were on point. She does the whole spread from the waffles to the yogurt and everything in between, thank you. The gym I must mention and I wish all Hilton's would mimic the setup here. The gym is pretty big, various cardio equipment (treadmills, ellipticals, a rowing machine and a Peloton bike.). They have two benches, free weights up to 75 pounds, a multifunction weight machine, a few kettle bells and stretching equipment. The reviews were not great but I chose the place to help build my points. Everything was decent enough as far as a simple room goes but, when I turned on the show the next morning, the valve just spun in circles...... no water.... at all. When I called the front desk, she said they would come up with a key to a nearby room so I can use their shower. The worst part was her telling me that they have had issues with this happening before in this room. What? The hotel was less than 1/2 full. Why put me in a room known to have plumbing issues? The location for cycling was nice because the road was temporarily closed off for construction and traffic was late. It was also close enough to local businesses. In short: Check-in was easy. Parking was plentiful and easy, The girl working the front counter was super friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Prices were reasonable. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Continental breakfast was offered. Although I did not use them, there was a pool and Jacuzzi area. The only downside, was there was no fitness room. I enjoyed my stay and would definitely visit again.

At the doorway was a traffic cone with a "no trespassing" sign on it. 3 feet inside this open door was another door which said "employees only". I yelled inside "anyone there" several times". After 30 minutes I started using my phone to find a different hotel. As a last measure, I took one step past the "no trespassing" sign to knock loudly on the "employees only" door. After a few minutes, a young man, who seemed stoned, came out of this door and yelled at me for trespassing. I left and found a different hotel.
