We had a variety of tacos with four different meats and homemade tortillas. The burrito was big and tasty. We also tried the excellent traditional goat soup that was filled with flavor. The goat soup is made with a variety of different meats including stomach lining so be aware. The salsas were fresh and they had a oily Japanese chili salsa that was unique and delicious. My only criticism would be that they don't make their own tortilla chips yet, relying on some bagged variety but I'll give them a pass for being new. I'm guessing that they will update that in the future when they start getting more business. All in all a nice surprise out in the country.

The location is really great because it is easy to get to the local shops and the park entrance. The original owners just recently sold it and the new owners should not call it a "bed and breakfast" if they do not offer an actual breakfast. Considering our budget, we would not have wanted to spend so much on just a cute room if we'd have known. They should at least let people know about the changes that have been made so there aren't misled expectations.

Everything was perfect; road conditions were we good, tourists weren't a hassle and fortunately Western Divide Highway was OPENED for our return trip home...this time through Kernville. Everything about Mountain Top B&B was great. This winter brought lots and lots of snow, Dee's car was still buried and sustained body damage as a result. The Cabin easily accommodated our four adults plus a toddler. The Ponderosa Lodge (next door) offered up cocktails and grub and a fun crowd of mountain madness lovers. I promised Dee we would return very soon...and we will.

This all could have been avoided if they were up front about their cancellation policy instead of just dropping it on you after you've already made a deposit.

The beautiful surroundings and the inn had a charming, vintage, and cozy touch that made us excited to stay. The owner greeted us warmly, and we appreciated the hospitality after driving all day from San Diego. The room was beautifully decorated, and the bed was extremely comfortable. We were able to take an evening swim before settling down for the night. When we woke up, we had breakfast right outside our room in a lovely setup with a garden atmosphere. I appreciated that they accommodated my diet and were more than happy to substitute food options to make me feel welcome. My husband and I decided right then and there that we'd be back for another stay and hopefully a longer one. I'd definitely recommend this place for a nice getaway from the city to relax and unwind. They let us sit and get comfortable as well as check out their sweet grounds which included 5 vintage camper AirBNB units which we were able to check out while tasting....pretty cool. The wines we had were solid. 2 x white and 2 x red. We also opened up a bottle of Pinot Noir which was really good also! We got a bottle of Cab reserve to go which I'm sure by tasting the others will be awesome! Anyways a great experience from two awesome people! Check out Delilah Ridge (and stay there!) if you're checking out the parks. 5-stars!
