Ms. Linda, the innkeeper/property owner is delightful and definately has the personality for the roll. She will not rest until everyone is happy, true and authentic country hospitality. Located in Reedley, and set on a beautiful plum orchard, the country inn is a picturesque cottage surrounded by courtyards, gardens, paths, and litterally thousands of roses in every color imaginable. The residences are immaculately clean and well kept. A full, gourmet country breakfast is served each morning in the main house. Ms. Linda is a terrific host and attends to your every need. If you are expecting cookie cutter hotel style experience then dont bother, but if you want a relaxing and enjoyable country bed and breakfast experience then this is your place! Note: not every room comes with a tv, but you wont miss it!

My partner and I came here for Christmas weekend, wanting to get away from the city, and we were not disappointed by our choice at all! I stayed two nights, first breakfast was french toast and WOW.(best in my life no joke), second breakfast was a spinach frittata also Very good (I am going to try making it!). Most of the breakfasts come with a special jam or sirup that is home made. The home has a very hommy feel to it. The rooms are very nice and feel like a nice hotel room, but no TV (not that you need) Fresh baked brownies sat in the kitchen! Don't bring pets if going to the national parks they cant really do much! Hairdryer in the hall to share if you need! They have a deck on the second floor with a fridge and table/chairs for sharing with other guest (note a room does sit behind with a window) Did I mention FRESH baked brownies sat in the kitchen?

You don't want to write a bad review because the place is quite amazing. So for as long time, I didn't write a review. I feel bad now that the old owners sold the place and they never got my positive review. There is new ownership here, but nothing has really changed. Everything seems to be the same quality. Every time I'm up in Shaver Lake, I opt to bring my crew here and they love it. Quiet, safe, and we always battle over who gets the upstairs Jacuzzi tub room. The new ownership responds to texts and concerns very quickly. Yes, there are other places in Shaver that look equal to this one, or maybe even more updated and very different, but if you're looking for coziness and "hygge"... This is your place.

The property had a great beach area with several nice spaces with canopies and chairs for guest to relax in. And plenty of space for all of the guests to enjoy . The River was clear and deep enough to swim in.. it was not very cold but was refreshing in the summer heat after a day spent up at the national parks. The room was wonderful . I would definitely recommend the spot, I plan to come back to visit the Area again and couldn't imagine staying anywhere else

Coming from Houston and visiting our friends in LA, we wanted to look for a nice homey place to rest after visiting Sequoia. Lisa, you are also an amazing baker and chef! We really loved our breakfast and were amazed by it. Each bite was always a Wow! My most favorite was the peach pastry and the espresso cake! We really enjoyed talking to Alan and learning more the history of the house. And of course we got to meet the head of security, Mr. Cooper! You should give him a raise haha Overall, all four of us loved our time here. We even bought the mug to remember The Parks Inn. Forget any other hotels or places to stay in the area, we will stay here in a heart beat every time! You will see us again in our next visit to Sequoia/Kings Canyon NP!

I appreciated that they accommodated my diet and were more than happy to substitute food options to make me feel welcome.
