I have always had great experiences with Reef cleaners. I have ordered from them multiple times and anytime there has been an issue, they are quick to refund me and I have never had issues, until this last order. I placed an initial order on Thursday and then wanted to add more, so I reached out and they sent me a link to add to my order. I did this the next day. For whatever reason, they claim there wasn't an order to attach it to (which I received a confirmation about the day prior as well as I was I firmed it wasn't being shipped until Monday.) I paid for overnight shipping, which we all know is extremely expensive. This order was well over 300 00 worth of cleanup crew and other things. I received my order, but the additions were not included. I reached back out and asked why my additions were not added, and there is no resolve. They will not send out my additional order, that was placed correctly and was their error. I feel at a complete loss. I have never had an issue and have exchanged many emails with this company. For them not to find my additional order and add the extra items was not my fault. I do not want to pay another 50 for things that should have been included in my original shipment. This was their error, yes I should have added everything I wanted on the 1st order, but if there is an option to add to an order and they are unable to accommodate, then this should not be an option at all. read more

Quick shout-out to reefcleaners.org . My CUC order was lost by UPS. I reached out initially and we decided to give it an extra day... After 2, I filed a claim with UPS and it's still in "Searching for package" status a week later... The live contents of the original package are definitely no longer live so I reached out. John replied back almost immediately that a new package would be send on January 2nd. This is my 3rd order from them and definitely will not be my last. read more

No response to my e-mail inquiries and they do not answer their phone. Without a tracking no PO cannot trace the shipment. Will be disputing the credit card charge. Worst ever and no care for the habitats they send. Paid for one of their reef cleaner packages within a two-day delivery and after 6 days I received them 99% dead. I tried one time to make a transaction in the afternoon around 3,30 pm and is not went through, i let pass a couple of hours and i did it again but no result, i tried for the third time and nothing happened. Reef cleaners is a reliable efficient company. I have ordered several times and never had a problem with the shipment. They are always on time and I always get a follow up email from the company right after I place a order. With so many crabs and snails that I order, on one order a few didn't' survive the trip. They have a pretty awesome website - full of information about the different types of organisms and plants for your saltwater reef tank in regards to cleaners. Great selection and good prices. The only problem I had was in the shipping of my order - some of the live animals I ordered came dead and some of the packaging wasn't all that great (i.e. the bags with the live animals not being completely closed). John has been very helpful getting the orders to me safely and swiftly and I ordered Urchins to take care of my algae and when they got here they were in excellent condition. Reef Cleaners is my goto online solution for my 120 gallon and 40 gallon reef cleaning crew. My local fish store carries the typical turbo snails which eventually run out of food and die, and the hermits are always overpriced. I find that ordering from reef cleaners.org gives me a natural crew that can maintain my tanks without dying off, at a really great price. The owner responds quickly and directly to request or concerns. John's customer service skills are suburb; something sorely missed in today's small and large businesses. My past experiences with this company have earned them a loyal customer. If you're looking for a cleanup crew, give this company a try. The specimens that you get will last a long time; your local fish store quick crew will just eat themselves out of food, not very humane way of maintaining an eco system in my opinion. read more

I have ordered from reef cleaners four times now for various reef CUC members. The owner communicates directly and responds quickly to complaints. Although I've never had any reason to complain. The shipping prices are a bit high for overnight delivery, but everything arrives in great shape and alive. The animal prices are very competitive and the business only sells items that are suitable for reef tanks. There are no name games or shenanigans with John Maloney and reef cleaners. Would never get my CUC anywhere else! read more

This is my 2nd order this month as the first one arrive with most of the crabs dead. I told John and got back nothing useful. So I ate the cost and reordered the crabs along with $100 in other critters. The package was supposed to be here Thursday... and nothing. Friday it shows up and not only are all the snails dead but the pincushion, lettuce nudibranch, and porcelain crabs are so small I can even tell what they are without a magnifying glass. Emails have gone unanswered and there is still no sign of the refund promised for unfulfilled items he was out of much less for the bag of trash I did receive. Everytime I deal with this place the experience is worse than the last. Lesson learned, my money will go to someone else from now on. read more

Placed order for 72g package. I'm always scared about ordering any live shipments during the winter but after reading a few reviews I decided to give it a try. I told John that it was cold and to make sure to pack heat pouches. My package was shipped Monday and was scheduled for Delivery Wednesday. Wednesday came along and nothing showed. I emailed John and told him. He responded saying "it should be there Thursday." Thursday came and nothing... I checked tracking and all it said was "delayed." I contacted John again and told him there's no way anything can survive in this cold inside an ammonia filled bag for 5 business days. He responded saying "let me know if you have any deaths." At this point the last thing I want to do is possibly dump over a hundred rotting snails and hermits into my tank. I told him I wasn't comfortable doing this but I'll take pictures when they arrive. My package arrived around 2pm on Friday. Box was ice cold, bags were ice cold and heat packs were ice cold. No way anything survived. I took pictures of the brown smelly bags and empty shells and emailed to John. Now that a refund is due he is very quiet and does not respond well..... still waiting for refund. I'll give him another week then file with PayPal. I really wanted to like this option for a cleaner package, but seller doesn't seem to understand common sense shipping problems. It's not his fault package arrived 2 Days late, but don't expect me to try and poison my tank because you don't feel like refunding. Communication between seller was fast, up until I told him about the problems arising. How exactly do you photograph dead snails.... the smell is the best way to describe what happened. Not to happy with Reef cleaners. Put in my order had to email them 2x before it was even shipped said it was their error. When I received my package my box was damaged and more than half my snails were dead. Also never received a rock I paid for. When I reached out to them they stated they would refund my rock but needed pictures of all dead stock. OK but what I received was no where near what I paid for. And after 2 weeks still have not received my refund for my rock. Not satisfied at all. Will never order live stock online again!!!! read more

When some of my order had species that would not do well with the 2 day delivery time from Florida I asked for a refund adn to cancel my order. He responded very quickly with a full refund. I ordered the 90 gal reef cleaners package and some hermits. Even though I picked possibly one of the hottest days of the year, the USPS came through within 24 hours, and most of the creatures survived (lost a few hermits, as was expected). Be sure to follow the instructions for unpacking, and there are few problems. Give the ceriths time to come out of dormant state (some of mine took 2 days, but all the Florida Ceriths survived). Don't assume something is dead until you give it some time. Great service- immediate personal response. read more
