The plumber assigned to the job brought a helper to evaluate and quote the work. He also spent some time at the plumbing supply house determining if parts were available to fix the failed fixture. They determined that we would need a new fixture. My wife worked with the supply house and selected and purchased the fixture. Once we had the fixture in hand we received the quote for this installation.  I was dismayed to see the quote for the installation work was $3877.00! When I asked for more detail I was given a verbal summary of the additional materials for the work that seemed to amounted to less than $50. We notified Lohmeyer that we intended to reject their proposal. I contacted another reputable local plumber and received a quote for about  $400 for installation. I accepted the quote, and the work was completed quickly and to my satisfaction. The plumber and his helper spent less than 2 hours to complete the work. We then received a bill for $595 for the service rendered. Note that they charge much more to quote this job than a reputable plumber charged us to complete the job. If you work with Lohmeyer I recommend getting a firm quote before they start the work. Then again, I would not recommend trying to do this as I think it will be a waste of your time. I come here to tell two experiences I had with this contract…read more I got a new home from Ryan Home in 2023 new construction and this contract did install my inwall Ethernet port per Ryan home requests. First time they installed telephone wires but not Ethernet cables. Then we found the issue and asked Ryan home to fix it. They fixed it but left the Ethernet cables in basement untouched without a connector. I had to pay a Spetrum network technician to cut connectors for us in 2023. I didn't notice this company was my new home contract until 08/2026. The second experience is that I doubt my inwall network cable or endpoint was not working properly. I asked them to come for a look and see if it still within warranty. Someone said it should be within warranty. They came and fixed the endpoints which are good. They charged 250$ for finding the cable and cutting the endpoint! What a ridiculous price! They took away my own crimping tool by accident and left over a box. It's just too ridiculous if I hadn't just checked by myself. That could explain what happened in 2023 when the same mistakes were made while I wasn't at home checking. How can the team be trustworthy if something similar happened once again??? This company to me is just always making mistakes. You paid money to not get a good quality service as expected. It's a hell quality. We always want to support local business but this local business is just garbage IMO. Don't deal with this company or you will have mess to deal with.

I stopped into this carpet store / antique shop and ordered some carpet for an outdoor front porch…read more I think the husband runs the carpet business and the wife runs the antique business, and the son-in-law is one of the carpet installers. How's that for a local family operated business! It took about 7 days for my special order carpet to arrive, then due to it being a bit chilly and rainy and this carpet going outside on a covered porch, we had to wait about another 30 days for the weather to be right to get it installed. The installers came and had it done in about 6 hours, and this included tearing up the old carpet and hauling it away. The new carpet is very soft, easy to clean, feels great on bare feet, has a 5 year warranty, and looks great on the front porch. The very old (30yrs??) worn carpet was one of the first things seen by anyone walking up onto the porch, and now it makes you proud to have people come to your front door. They did an excellent job, acted professional, and all seems to have been done very nicely and correct. To cover the porch with 1 piece of carpet and avoid having a seem, I did have to order a larger, most costly, piece of carpet. But with it being outdoor carpet I was worried the seem would give in a year or two and cause issues, and I will just use the leftover carpet elsewhere. The cost was right at $500 total for everything. Approx size of 8ft x 16ft, very high quality carpet.
