Beautiful park and generally easy to park. Was there for a craft show and music fest and it was very well organized and attended

The pavilion area includes clean public restrooms and outdoor grills perfect for casual sports activities. The paved trails cater to various activities such as walking, running, dog walking, and biking. While the trail markers are helpful, using a mobile phone for orientation may be necessary for longer distances. Although shade from trees is limited, the park offers convenient access to the river, making it suitable for fishing.

Plenty of space, the only time I see a real crowd here is during a sporting events...not the Eagles, but youth soccer practice, volleyball tournaments, or something similar...otherwise there is generally plenty of room here to walk your dog, stretch your legs or just kick back and read a book. My favorite thing to do here is grab lunch and sit in the picnic area relaxing on my lunch hour. Can be hard to go back to work on a gorgeous day, but well worth it in my book! There is one "not recommended" review...I have no idea what this person is talking about, this park is VERY well maintained. Grass is cut, the place is clean and the park ranger is never far from sight.

I completed all 20 miles of this trail by foot back in October, starting up in Green Lane and…read moreending in Oaks. The areas nearest to the trail heads are absolutely gorgeous! There are quite a few spots lacking in aesthetics near the Collegeville area. The trail is mostly paved and crushed rock, so it's not bad depending on what you're looking for! There is a 12% grade in the Spring Mount area. There are signs maybe 1/4 mile before you reach it. Every review I've read thus far never mentions where this is, so when I went I really had no idea where to expect it at. You will encounter many different people and lots of dogs along with trail. I also saw quite a few chipmunks! There are plenty of parks along the way, including Pennypacker Mills Park which is around the midway point, to stop for lunch or to use the restroom. The restrooms at Pennypacker Mills is the nicest of all the restrooms along the way. There are also restaurants, like the Collegeville Diner and Snoozy's Cafe in Schwenksville, and bike shops to stop at if you need to. One thing I don't see mentioned often is that Gratersford Prison backs up to this trail. You will see signs warning you to remain on the path at this point as you pass a few corn fields. I'm not sure I'll complete this trail again, but I do recommend it to anyone interested!

The trail runs through a few small towns along the Perkiomen Creek. There you can stop for quick lunch or get some drinks while using the trail. I have ridden the length of the trail in its entirety and it is gorgeous! The views from here are amazing and the creek is beautiful. The only 2 downsides to the trail is that it is paved with crushed stone and it is prone to flooding after very heavy rains (the trail is on the banks of the creek. This means that certain bikes cannot handle the trail and the trail can be closed in certain sections at times. Don't let theses minor problems deter you from using this magnificent trail. Before using, check out the website. The County Parks Department is great with updating the situations. ENJOY!
