I visited this office on June 12, 2026, for an Ultherapy consultation. The consultation itself was informative, but I explained that I needed to discuss the cost with my husband before making a decision. The staff suggested I apply for CareCredit so I could finance the procedure with six months of interest-free payments. They assisted me with the application using their iPad and helped me obtain a $3,000 credit line. I scheduled an appointment for the following week, but after discussing it with my husband, I called on June 15 to cancel. The office accepted my cancellation and even sent me a text confirming it. Almost two weeks later, I discovered that my CareCredit account had already been charged the full $3,000 on the day of the consultation, even though I never received the procedure. I was never told that my account had been charged, and I did not believe I had authorized a payment for a procedure that had not been performed. When I contacted the office, they refused to reverse the charge and told me that I had signed authorizing the transaction. My understanding was that I was signing documents related to the CareCredit application on their iPad, not authorizing an immediate $3,000 charge. Because of this dispute, CareCredit opened an investigation into the transaction. As a result, I lost access to my CareCredit funds and had to use another credit card to pay for a different medical expense. My experience has been extremely stressful and time-consuming. I recommend that anyone financing through this office carefully review every document before signing and request copies of everything immediately.

I won a gift card from Best of Detroit for the Obagi Blue Radiance Peel, valued at $125. The lady at the front desk and on the phone, Denise, was excellent. She was friendly, customer service oriented, and welcoming. I filled out the new patient paper work and waited. The physician called me back & was welcoming too. He introduced himself and had me sit on the exam chair. He immediately noticed I have some facial hair (which, what woman is proud of that?! It's embarrassing to be very honest!) and told me he knows I have PCOS (Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome) even though I do not. He mentioned I must have underlying hormone issues & how his philosophy is to treat from the 'inside' out. He asked about my health and fitness which I did state I've lost a significant amount of weight and was on my own health & weight loss journey. He was very much acting like 'Macho Man' by explaining his diet, fitness & health approach which I have nothing against but I'm not here for that. I'm here for the Peel I won. I know I'm still considered over weight, I know my skin is no where near perfect, I know I have acne and I've had it for years. I consider myself a new mom still (2 years later) and I haven't had a facial or have had anything nice and rewarding for myself in awhile. I was looking forward to this and even more in the future! But I would never go back. I do not believe he even did the Obagi Blue Peel on me. I honestly feel he did some sort of other acne treatment or small peel? I really have no idea. He literally wiped my face clean, said he was applying, waited a minute, then he applied a 2nd time and had me wait 10 minutes, then put a cleanser on my face and I was done. This maybe took 15-18 minutes total, and the rest of the time was him talking. This is not worth $125. I've spent $65-$85 on a facial at a Spa before to be there an hour, with neck and shoulder massage added, feeling relaxed and refreshed with the intent of returning. Nothing on my face was Blue (which the Obagi Blue Radiance Peel should be. Google it)! I was informed of products I should purchase and peels I should do in a few months to get all brand new skin, etc. I asked, 'So my skin should start peeling?' And he was like 'Well, it might get dry in a few spots but you probably won't have peeling.' Okay.. I thought I was getting an awesome facial peel.. Please tell me what Woman would not be excited if she won a facial, or facial peel?! They would be looking forward to having the service done and feeling refreshed and happier about their skin. I would never return or recommend him to anyone in the future. I do appreciate winning the gift card and I thank Best of Detroit for that. Further to the last post where I detailed how Holly (a registered nurse and the owner) left me with…read moresecond degree burns from the laser treatment, I have now had to be on antibiotics for some of the burn wounds becoming infected, was on prescription pain killers, had to get a tetanus shot, have been both to urgent care and the family doctor multiple times to deal with the second degree burns. And, according to the family doctor will almost certainly have permanent scars from the laser burns Holly inflicted. My lawyers have reached out to Holly to obtain her insurance info, which she is refusing to provide. Further, Holly had promised to refund the $200 gift card I had with her. She has not. And has kept an additional $50 she charged to my credit card that she was never entitled to. (Which I have filed a fraud report with my credit card company over.) Do not get treated at Reawaken Spa. Not only did Holly leave me with documented (by her, me, and multiple sets of doctors) second degree burns, but she is not professional enough to take responsibility for them by letting her insurance company and my lawyers properly settle the matter. Based on this action of her, I fear the only remedy is going to court (vice settling it between the lawyers and her insurance, since she refused that option) and filing a report with her RN licensing board because I genuinely fear what she will do to her patients, especially as a nurse.

Urgent Care also had to put me on prescription pain killer as it was painful to sit, sleep, put on or take off pants, shower, etc. I now have medical appointments to deal with the burns well into next week. On top of all this, I drove back to the med spa an hour after the appointment to show Holly the burns (which she photographed for her own records) and she took no accountability in an email she sent hours later despite initially sending in a prescription for antibiotic ointment to my pharmacy.

There is another doctor there, Dr Jennifer Burlingame so I made appointments for my son and myself. ( I cannot find any reviews on her as of this date) My sons first appointment was made for 3:00 but the day beforehand I was called and they moved his appointment to 3:40. When we arrived at 3:30 we were told that we had missed his appointment and since the office is a "very busy" one that he could not be seen. I told her how we had been called and told the time for the appointment had been changed and for her to just forget it and to also cancel the appointment I had for the following week. She said then that he could be seen. So we sat and waited.. and waited. We waited 25 minutes in outside waiting room and then another 35 minutes in the back. It was over an hour to see the doctor. I thought it would be better for my appointment. I got there just before 2:00 for my 2:20 appointment. The outside doors are locked from 1:00 until 2:00 for lunch. I thought.. wonderful... since I was first inside and had an appointment just after lunch. surely my wait would be minimum. There was only one other patient waiting who came in after I did. The other patient was called back first and then I was called after. At 2:40 my son texted to see what the hold up was. The doctor showed up just after 3:00. Visit with doctor was about 10 minutes. Third trip was better with only about 20 minutes of a wait for my son, it was a just after lunch appointment as well. The doctor seems very nice but my first rating will be in the middle and is most influenced at this time by the long waits. As we have more interactions with the doctor I will edit/update my review.
