KUDOS They are the best in the field and Dr Hughes a Mohs surgeon and Arthur is just phenomenal when doing any follow-up placing one back together after the surgery. Nothing but HIGH MARKS for this pair and the people around them! They would also have someone contact you directly with Biopsy results NOW, since the takeover/ merger/ acquisition from AQUA DERMATOLOGY it has been nothing short of a disaster. I will try and keep it short but so many issues it will be hard. Look yourself AQUA is now in 3 states and taking over more offices! No more personalized service but the push is for more offices and Drs to merge with them. Phone calls are routed no longer to the office but another location with so many choices and prompts now, our phone calls were NEVER returned after multiple times leaving messages. The PORTAL is a disaster, ONLY 3 years of our treatments and skin cancer issues. However It had a DR we saw 11-12 years ago at another office not related to Skin Cancer Offices, OH WAIT Aqua took over his practice. The PORTAL is an entire issue in itself! Terrible So after our latest visit and biopsy results which we were told to log into the failed portal system .... it took us 3 phone calls to finally get the office Mgr. Kassidi. She was extremely helpful and gave me the results and also answers on the latest issues. She is trying to make things right. However the following week our messages must have come through to the office as 2 other Techs/ Nurses called me and left a message. I promptly returned the phone calls within a minute or so.. Only to be placed on hold 15-20 minutes at a time, we finally hang up. I took screen shots to keep . We left a message at the Marietta Office for the Office MGR in charge of all these facilities and team to call us.. NOPE nothing ! Next my wife had a Shingles outbreak identified while in Florida during an emergency visit with family. We cut the visit short as requested to come back to this office which we immediately did, only to be seen by a new DR. (name will not be discussed) This Dr spent a total of less than 5 minutes failed to give the correct dosage of RX along with other RX to stop the nerve damage. He was specifically asked about other things to lessen the pain . His only comment was to stay on this RX and get the vaccine. Needless to say the wife ended up in the hospital with extreme pain and "Post Herpetic Neuralgia". The ER Dr who was great did all sorts of other tests to rule out things but clearly stated the original DR at Skin Cancer Center should have given steroids, and two other RX to lessen the nerve damage when seen the first time as it was a timely issue ! It is OBVIOUS to us, since the AQUA merger the personalized customer service, phone response, attention to detail to patients is now gone with new Drs. and staff who are pushed for more patients not quality of service. What a shame placing the great Arthur and Dr Hughes in this position with long standing patients! Shame on YOU AQUA!

My first appointment was on 8/7/25, and after being prescribed another topical steroid with no improvement, a biopsy was done on 9/4/25. My follow-up for stitch removal was scheduled for 9/18/25. I called on 9/10 and 9/11 to check on my biopsy results and left voicemails both times -- no call back. At my 9/18 appointment, I asked in person about the results and was told they just came in that morning but a radiologist hadn't reviewed them yet. I left without any answers. On 9/21/25, I received a portal notification showing my result: "Subacute Eczematous Dermatitis." However, there were no notes, no explanation, and no communication from anyone at the practice. I called on 9/22 to get clarification -- no call back. I called again on 10/20 -- again, voicemail and no response. Then on 10/28, I received an email stating a partial refund was processed with still zero communication from the office. I called once more -- no return call. The lack of follow-up and communication is unacceptable, especially when dealing with biopsy results. The medical care itself may be fine, but if you expect clear answers or responsive staff, I would not recommend this practice. Patients deserve timely communication and basic follow-through, and unfortunately that did not happen here.

I followed all post op instructions despite the fact I was skeptical about starting the saline sinus washes the same day as surgery.... Wouldn't that cause more bleeding I thought? Well, boy was I wrong. No excessive bleeding, as a matter of fact it ceased sooner than I expected. I had NO headache, slept better than I had in over a year and a half and was able to breathe freely through my nose, DAY ONE!!! Apart from recuperating from anesthesia, on day two, I felt fabulous! She was sweet, patient, and answered every single question with kindness. I had a lot of questions, but never once felt rushed or felt I was irritating the ladies. Unfortunately, my experience was far from professional or patient centered. Upon arrival, I was immediately taken on a 20-minute unsolicited tour of the entire clinic by a staff member who spent the entire time preaching about the practice's positive reviews--it felt like a high-pressure sales pitch rather than a medical consultation. I did not request or need this tour. After the tour, I was placed in a waiting room before being taken for before photos of my lips, even though no procedure was agreed upon or performed. I then waited another 10 minutes before Dr. Lee entered the room. The consultation itself lasted only 10 minutes, during which Dr. Lee mentioned that he was unsure whether he would have images to share of his surgical lip lift work due to not having patient's consent. I understand, but ultimately this is a red flag for transparency. It should have been communicated by the office prior to paying the consultation fee that he had no images of previous work regarding this surgery that he could share. He also expressed concerns about scarring on someone as young as me (24) and stated that he doesn't rush into surgery, which left me confused about the purpose of the consultation in the first place. At the end of the visit, a woman at the front desk provided me with an estimate of over $3,000 for the procedure. Despite this, there was no follow-up from the office regarding images, next steps, or scheduling. Instead, I received seven emails asking me to leave a review--an obvious attempt to manipulate ratings rather than address patient concerns. When I called two weeks later to request a refund for the $150 consultation fee, the staff member argued with me about the amount of time I spent in the office, including the unnecessary tour and photo session. This behavior was unprofessional and dismissive. She noted that consultation fees are non-refundable. The entire experience left me with a very negative impression. The lack of transparency, the aggressive sales tactics, and the complete disregard for follow-up care make me question the integrity of this practice. Do not waste your time or money here.

After the procedure, I had to return frequently due to fluid buildup. During those visits, a PA (Allison) placed her knee on the patient's bed, inserted a needle into my breast and twisted it so aggressively that it eventually pierced through my nipple. Other staff members stood nearby laughing. No one intervened. Everyone present knew exactly what was happening. Bad jokes were made every time I went to the clinic by all the staff except the doctor. In my opinion, the surgery was poorly done. The doctor later offered to "fix" it, but I refused, not because I didn't need the correction, but because I was terrified to go back. Reporting abuse like this is extremely difficult. From my perspective, they are protected by local power structures, a closed system where the city's "powerful" people gather, including in golf clubs and private circles. Victims are often silenced and discredited. I am sharing my experience so others can make an informed decision.

Time for my update and experience as of 09/28/14…read more I am going to share my whole story for those that care and are considering a similar cosmetic/life changing medical enhancement procedure : Abdominoplasty aka the "tummy tuck". That's exactly what I underwent and I couldn't be more pleased with the results even in this early stage of healing. It has been a mere 6 days since my procedure was performed at the skilled expertise hands of Dr. Chad Deal of Southern Surgical Arts located in Calhoun, GA. (They have a second medical building in Chattanooga, Tennessee as well.) Now, for those of you who may judge or have something negative to comment or think, -go ahead and waste your time, - you simply won't hurt my feelings. Now, where was I? Okay, let share the reason why I choose this route. 16 years ago yesterday, -I had my first and only child and my abdominal wall was naturally stretched out. Now, in most cases, the abdominal wall snaps back with proper exercise, care, etc. - but I was one of those that unfortunately dismissed exercise at that time and just settled with the bit of hanging skin that was left behind. Skip ahead to 2009. That is when I realized exercise was quite beneficial and not only lost many many pounds, - but got in great shape by mid 2010 and looked pretty good with my clothes ON. Fact. The first one (located in Midtown) told me I could get it almost right away and would be good to go in a week for a reunion in California I was hoping to attend. WRONG. UNREALISTIC. ***INTERUPTION! I actually have my follow up appt shortly in Calhoun so I have to continue this when I return. Hopefully getting my tubes out today. Oh, and it turns out that NO amount of exercise would have EVER given me these much-to-be desired (early) results. My abdominis rectus was over 5 1/2 cm separated and unattached. Thank You, Dr. Deal. I love this talented, warm, realistic, personable Doctor. So, the bottom line is that if anyone is SERIOUSLY interested, -message me and I can even send You the "before and after" pics, - what was cut off and sucked out, -me still on the operating table after the procedure, - and me today, -8 days later.
