We called and quoted a color for way less than we paid. it was just funny how the stylist asked me how much a cut and color would be in new york, i said 165ish for high end, then she charged me 165. It was a good cut but I wouldn't go back. There seems to be no real pricing system. She also said she may have charged me per hour and she had me there for about 3 hours. It's suspicious. read more

I was nervous. It had been three months since my last haircut. Since my hair is curly and i wear a very short style, there are 1,001 was to screw it up. My hairdresser back in Virginia assured me i'd find someone who could duplicate the cut. I didn't know how to choose from the glut of hair salons in San Angelo and i was so frustrated by the lack of reviews for so many of them. One joyous day i saw a woman in a store with a haircut and hair type almost identical to mine. She was happy to tell me where and who styled her hair. I immediately made an appointment to see Britteny (who is also the owner) at Reflections. May husband has told me several times in the two days since the haircut how great i look! It is the same haircut, but it somehow better than before. I am very happy with the results! On a referral from a friend, I made an appointment with Miranda for a cut and blow dry. She was ready on time and got me in the chair right away to discuss what I was wanting. I showed her a couple of photos of the style I like (long hair with long layers and bangs) and she seemed confident she understood. Then we headed to the shampoo bowls; she was sweet and carried on a conversation with me all the way back to the chair and then she got to work. She was quick and cut my hair exactly the way I like - even my bangs, which I'm super picky about! When she was done she dried my hair and styled it well too. She was fast and I loved how my hair turned out! The only tip I have is to call ahead and make an appointment, especially if you go to see Miranda because she is booked all the time (another good sign!)! read more

Went off of Yelps review andddddd maybe it's just the person. My stylist was Brenda - maybe it was just an off day, I felt rushed. She finished my cut under 20 mins. It was $25 and if you want your hair blown dry, it's extra $$. I've never been to a stylist before who cuts your hair without blow drying. Usually stylists blow dry just to make sure the cut they did was even. This was a bad experience for me. Once my hair dried, there were uneven cuts. It sucks. read more

I went to reflections hair salon after trying a different salon in the city. I hadn't been to reflections before so I didn't know who to schedule with. The receptionist was super nice and I got an appointment pretty quickly. I was surprised at how nice the salon was inside and each room was private. My stylist was Hannah and she was awesome. I got a cut and partial highlights. Not only was Hannah super nice, but she was quick and did an amazing job. Usually my hair takes a long time because it is super long, but she had no problem getting it done fast. I was surprised at how inexpensive it was considering I have long hair. I definitely was happy with all aspects of my appointment and will be going back. read more

A haiku for my unfortunate experience at Reflections: Oh my god, Alex No no no no no no no Worst haircut ever I even provided photos which she clearly wasn't interested in nor did she evidently look at them. I don't like a chatty hair person, but she said nothing the whole time which felt rude and awkward. I should have known something was horribly wrong when she swiveled me around with my back to the mirror THE WHOLE TIME--probably so I couldn't see the savagery being afflicted upon my head and hair. read more

I went by the Reviews on yelp and call Reflections got an appointment the same day of my call. Is the best decision ever, Destiny was very attentive, professional and knew exactly what I needed without many explanations. She went far and beyond. Will recommend it to anyone. I saw Robin for a manicure and pedicure on the 29th of June. I was going on vacation and wanted to look nice and Sarah in the Day Spa wasn't available. First of all, she does not have a spa chair to do pedicures. She uses a foot bath and actually sits on the floor to do them, which in my opinion is unsanitary. I've never seen anyone do that before. One of the things she did was scrap my toenails so badly that they hurt. I told her so and she said "I'm sorry", but kept on doing it anyway. She didn't cut the cuticles on my feet either. She also filed my feet down even though I told not to, and they were somewhat red and raw after she did. Very unprofessional all the way around. I could have done a better pedicure myself. I also got a manicure, and again, she didn't cut the cuticles on my nails and only did a so-so job on the rest of my nails. She didn't cut back all my hang nails either because they're still there. The polish is now coming off, and it's only been a week, usually my polish lasts at least 2, leading me to believe that she used inferior products. The whole thing cost me over $60 and was pretty much a waste of money. I probably won't see Robin in the future because of this. read more

As the previous reviewer stated, Alex may have just had an off day that day from that one bad review. She just did my hair and she did a phenomenal job on my hair. I am super picky about my blonde highlights and low lights and they came put PERFECT. I have a TON of hair and she went through and did all of it with precision. She would explain each time she was doing something just to put my mind at ease and to let me know how her process worked. I also asked for pink peek a boos in the underneath part of my hair and they came out beautiful. She did an amazing job in every part of my hair. I only asked for a trim because I am growing out my hair but even the trim was done very nicely. She is very sweet, funny, and attentive. I highly recommend her and that salon. The salon is very well kept and looks beautiful! I will definitely be going back to her! read more

Today, was the first time I ever set foot in Reflections Hair Salon. I had always heard good things about this place, but never ventured to try it for myself. I called earlier this week and was able to get an appointment quickly. Lindsey was my stylist and she was friendly and attentive throughout my 2 1/2 hours there. I got lowlights and highlights in my short hairstyle and a trim. She did a fantastic job choosing the colors and placing them in my hair. I feel very confident in my look. I would rate this 5 stars, except I feel the price was a bit high --- I will still go again though, as I won't always color my hair, and their haircut prices are reasonable and equal to other places, and I think Lindsey did a fabulous job. read more

I was in town for business and needed a cut and color badly. I'm super loyal to my hair salon in Phoenix, but I couldn't hold out any longer. I called Reflections and Sadie fit me in right away. I scored big time! She did an awesome job and was so sweet. Sadie was quick and got me in right when my appointment was scheduled. She did a great job! I've been going here for a couple years. Brenda has always done my hair but last time I think a Hannah did my trim since Brenda was booked. I'm biracial with curly hair so when I walked in and saw nothing but blonde hair with highlights I freaked at first but everyone was ok and my hair cuts have always been great! Can I not rate it a 0? I went to Patty to have her bleach/dye my hair blonde. I am a natural brunette, so I understand that the task can be a tricky one, but I have extremely resilient hair and have had other stylist do it before. She informed me that it would take a while and cost a lot of money (not at problem at all; thanks Dad)! Luckily, it was a Saturday and I was her only client. She told me that she didn't want to damage it, so she would just highlight it. I was worried I would end up looking ghetto, but she assured me it wouldn't. Well 6 hours and $250 (not expensive for me, so don't think I am upset about the price), she sent me on my way with yellow hair! The next day a family friend who is also a hair stylist came over and was shocked by the job. She told me to request my money back because what Patty had done to my hair was atrocious. Not only was it yellow, but it was ruined. My hair has never felt like that before, and I have done my share of messed up stuff to my hair! I asked Patty for a refund and her cheap ass said she would refund me $50 of what I paid. I understand she used product and spent her day doing it, but every hair stylist I have spoken to told me that if a customer ever requested a full refund, they gave it. Well luckily, the family friend was able to somewhat fix my hair based on what Patty did to it. I went to claim the $50 check and 1) the little tart working the front desk (I mean hello don't be snobby with me; you're the help) gave me attitude, and 2) she then told me that Patty took the check back because I didn't come pick it up in a timely manner. Really? She told me Patty was gone, and I could come back later. I was leaving the country that afternoon, which is why I hadn't had time to pick it up before. I decided not to even attempt to get the $50 back after that. Instead, I figured I would just write a nasty review, which I have never done before, but I know Patty is hurting for business because she just moved here and doesn't have many clients. Well with that horrible dye job and lack of customer service, I don't anticipate she will be earning any clients in the foreseeable future. read more

The previous reviewer that stated Alex wasn't good... must have just caught a bad day. We all get them, honestly. Alex is AWESOME. She fixed my hair. Truly. After going to another salon in San Angelo, with a stylist that had absolutely no idea what the heck she was doing and put Pravana vivid blue on my hair,(which I just realized after a 6.5 hour session of trying to fix my hair, which still needs fixing) and she managed to not only get me to a normal color, but also got rid of the horrible blue that made me look like Elvira's twin sister with red roots. I highly highly recommend her. She was funny, friendly, and was really cool to take care of me for a whole day trying to get the awful color in my hair. The salon is quiet, decorated well, and every one of the stylists is friendly and helpful. When I say that it took all day... it took all day. I met everyone. When your hair is that messed up, the whole salon tries to help fix it. Definitely going back!! read more

I'm always leery when moving to a new town and having to find a hairdresser. I checked out a number of local salons before making the decision to call Reflections. The receptionist was polite and scheduled me for an appointment within a few days of calling. Each cosmetologist has a bio on the salon website, so I was asked if I wanted to see anyone in particular. I didn't have a preference, so I was scheduled with Hannah H. I cannot say enough amazing things about her. She was very accommodating and her price list is on the wall in her room. She sat me down to discuss what I wanted done with my hair and made a few suggestions (keeping my bangs longer so I can pull them back). She took me back to deep condition my hair and wash it. Then she cut it, dried it, and flat ironed it to style it. She even suggested some products I might want to look into, but she did not pressure me into anything they have in the salon. I left very satisfied and will come back to see her specifically. read more

this is patti responding to the bad review from rachel...who forgot to mention that she already had a dark brown color on her hair and had some blue chunks in her hair that she had covered up i explained that it would be impossible to make her entirely blonde in one session and not damage her hair anymore...and told her if that would not work for her then she should go elsewhere her response was that she would be happy with that! rachels hair was still in good condition when she left with instructions to condition it well and return before leaving on her trip which was in two weeks to complete the coloring. this is why no one likes doing corrective color! and i gave her a good deal $200 not $250 she obviously wanted an instant fix and disregarded the entire conversation before beginning the process. i have been doing hair for 30 years and i stand behind my work if i would have made a mistake i would have refunded the money but i did not i did exactly what we discussed prior to her appointment. read more

I haven't done a whole lot to my hair in the past, because nearly every time I did do something, I had bad experiences. But, on a whim, I finally decided to go and get my hair done at this salon. I saw Destiny's work in a photo on this site and was very impressed, especially because I wanted red and platinum streaks in my hair! Let me just say, this girl spent pretty much 6 total hours of her time on my hair and she was a SAINT! She was SO pleasant and patient and BELIEVE me, my hair is as curly as it gets, thick, holds in any kind of moisture and just a PAIN to deal with. This girl went above and beyond for me. We had some trouble with the red taking over my platinum streaks and covering most of them, so she let me come in AGAIN and didn't charge me extra for it. What a sweetheart! I cannot express the skill and down to earth vibe this girl has, but if you go to the salon, everyone is very welcoming and awesome! Thanks SO much Destiny!
