I really wanted to write a good review, the people working here are some of the sweetest but I can't recommend any blonde to this salon ever. The first time I went was for a touch up on my roots. That's the first picture below. You can see The highlights are EXTREMELY spaced and far too brassy in color. I'll add my hair had been toned and "glossed". Which I also don't recommend the gloss since I saw no real difference in the texture of my hair. After leavening the first time and breaking down after getting home, I called back and said I wasn't quite happy, they're we're very helpful and able to get me back in that week. Well, I go back and they added more highlight but now the top two inches of my hair is so brassy, and the rest is my normal blonde color. The best part is. I was told just to use a purple shampoo and it should start to blend it with the rest of my hair. If you're a blonde, you know purple shampoo does nothing if that hair was never lightened enough from the start. I have no other option than to just wait it out and see my normal stylist back home. If you are blonde, this is not the salon for you. It's really hard to find a stylist who can treat blond hair right and unfortunately this place is not it. The second photo is post my second appointment, the third is after the at home toner I decided to try in a last stitch effort to fix this mess. Mind you, I paid $180 for color, trim, toner, and "gloss". I paid almost $200 for my hair to be turned brassy yuck. read more

I had seen photos of Lacy's color work for others and wanted her to do magic with my hair. She experimented the first time I went and I liked it. I went back to her and asked her to tweak it and she did and I LOVE IT! Her experience and professionalism are great. She cut my hair to prepare it to grow to a length that will give me more options. After impulse-dying my hair RED on vacation, I came home wondering where to go to keep up the color. I found Inspiro Salon on Yelp, and liked the photos I found....they do beautiful shades of red! The owner harasses you if you leave a bad review. They talk back to you and claim you loved your hair. They are clearly putting words in my mouth. The day after I went I died my hair Garnier's light ultra intense red and it is a pretty color now. I trust box color over them. I was not going to walk around with black in my hair. Just because I left the salon does not mean I loved my hair. It means I was tired of being there and around gossiping people. That is all. Just give me a refund instead of harassing me. Jezz. I do not want more bad stripy highlights to "lighten" the black you put in my hair. I only went to you to get a professional ombre and I did not leave with anything close to that. Do not request Sam or Lacy. Neither know what they are doing. They have rude and fake "customer service." read more

If you are not able to take the time to explain to me what the services are the first time I call then it's not worth the time even going. I just wanted to do a follow-up from my previous review. I've been going to InSpiro for the past year and I'm just constantly impressed and thrilled with every experience I have. The staff treats you like family and never pressure you into anything you don't want, but always make very honest suggestions. I've developed such a good working relationship with my stylist, Terra (sorry if I misspelled your name girl!), that I feel confident in letting her run wild with my color and style. I always walk out feeling beautiful and confident. You know it's always a good result when your boyfriend remarks on how pretty you look without you asking. When I eventually leave San Angelo, InSpiro will be one of the few things I miss here. In the meantime, please give these guys your business! This place was a great find! It's my first visit to an Aveda Salon and I"m glad I made the trip. It's a small salon but very high quality. I had one of the junior stylists give me a trim and it turned out perfect. After having the same stylist for almost 8 years, it was hard for me to trust someone new with my hair. SHe totally understood and took great care of me. All services come with a wash and blow dry. The wash is great! Best scalp massage I've had in a while. In case you can't get enough, you can add in an extra 10 min of massaging for a small amount. And...if you get a coloring, you get a footbath while you wait! How awesome is that?? I can honestly say I enjoyed my appointment with Samantha. Booked a last minute hair and make up appointment for the Marine Corps Ball. $25 for make up and another $25 for getting my hair curled. My appointment was at 4, but she didn't start on me till 430. It wasn't her fault though (the previous customer kept complaining about everything so she had to make adjustments) so I'm not docking any points. She got started with me right away. Hair came out great. Then came the make up. I was worried because I've been told I'm difficult to put make up on but everything went smoothly and I think I look great. I enjoyed my time with her so much I recruited my husband to get his hair cut. She charges $15 for men's cuts. What shocked me most above all is that they don't accept tips here! However, they get commission from selling hair products. Tips: Don't tell Samantha that she looks like Taylor Swift. Pro: Russell, the receptionist is so great and friendly. Everyone here is! Cons: They don't accept tip, so they must be crazy! read more

This is my first time writing a review for anything. I called to make an appointment and was greeted by a very pleasant man who was very personable. The day of my appointment I was received a phone call from them asking me if I would graciously switch my appointment with another client because the roads were icy and the client was coming from out of town and would not make the appointment. I ended up getting into a car accident myself on the way there, flipping my car over a few times and totallin the car because of the ice. I obviously did not make the appointment. Had I been going faster or my car landed two feet to the right of work did the accident would have been worse. My car rolled over here four times before landing right side up and I'm still living. Luckily, I was not injured too bad so I gave it a few days for my neck to loosen up and I called back to reschedule and made another appointment. I was getting ready to leave for that appointment and received a phone call from the salon letting me know that my stylist had to go home and would not be able to do my hair and asked if I could reschedule so I did for the following day but told the girl it would be really hard for me to get there at that time but I would try. Because of the nature my job, I could not leave in enough time to be there exactly at that time just as I thought. I was 15 or 20 minutes late but they said they could not help me. I did not see anyone else in the shop. if I were the owner I would have stayed later in order to get the job done since that client had gone out of their way for me. I gave them a chance to give me a discount when I rescheduled again but they said they could not do it. Had they given me a discount or accommodated me by staying later I would have gone back to them next time and recommended them to everyone since they were so pleasant and nice on the phone. they not only talked to me regarding business but also asked about things in my life which to me is good business practice - caring about your client instead of just caring about what they have to do with your business only. But it seems they do not care enough. After the accident when I called to reschedule the gentleman said he felt horrible that he had asked me to switch my appointment with that other client and of course I didn't want to make him feel bad so I said it may have happened even if I did not change it which is true because the vehicle that had gotten into the accident that caused me to get into mine was still there an hour later when I would have left in the first place. I'm only speaking of what I would do in a situation but I would still have offered a discount or went out of my way to make the appointment happen. When I asked if they would do it for free or a discount and mentioned why I was asking for that the gentleman said that he "had had a girl about to have a heart attack" and that is why she had to go home and could not do my hair. He expected me to be sympathetic when he wasn't sympathetic to my situation obviously forgotting what happened to me on Saturday morning spending the whole day in the ER. Sometimes when I read these reviews I feel like the person is just being a whiner however now that I've gone through a situation and posted a review I will be more inclined to believe the reviewer's story now. I believe everyone deserves a second chance but think twice before you go here. read more

I went to InSpiro recently for the first time. I have been to numerous places around San Angelo and this is one of the best I've found. The appointment process was simple and I got in within a few days. Sue was my stylist and she did a good job. She was friendly, but not overly talkative. I got a cut and color and she listened to exactly what I wanted and confirmed that we were both on the same page during consultation. They offered beverages while you are getting your hair done so plus one for having Dos Equis on hand! The visit cost me 160, (30 of it for a product I bought) which is right on par with other places I've been. The salon is nice inside. My only complaint is there are three styling chairs that are very close together so it offers little privacy. I recommend this salon. read more

Although my hair stylist that did my hair did a good job and was professional, the owner (Lacy) was hostile and rude. She kept telling the person who was doing my hair to hurry up because it is Friday and she wants to close. I smiled at her while while she was hounding the person that did my hair to be faster and she just gave me this cold look. I can feel the tension in the room. At the end of it all, I paid and gave Lacy extra to give to the hairstylist but she looks at me and said in a demeaning manner that inspiro does not accept tips. I am new to San Angelo and wanted a haircut. I didn't know the policy. Needless to say, I am NEVER going back to this hair salon. I want to say thank you the person who did my hair. I went in under the impression it would be around $70 dollars to re touch my roots. As I sat in the chair longer and longer they continued to jack the price up and up. Throughout the coloring process I could tell the stylist was not matching the color to my previous and she was not getting all the way on the root. I was new to the area and did my research to find a great hair salon. After reading the reviews about this place I thought I would have the same results...NOT! Don't get me wrong, they are very nice folks, (the guy at the counter was a tad sassy... ) but they do not handle hair previously done by someone else.. Also tried to return a conditioner that was not worth $35 and they wouldn't take it back because I did not have a receipt. I was just there the previous week... WHY DO I NEED A RECEIPT! You should stand by your products you carry and if they do not satisfy a customer...Take it back! read more

I'm a 50+ yr old guy that has been in many stylist chairs in my life, let me ad I've for many years worn my hair almost shoulder length loose and semi curly. I'm relocating to San Angelo and was looking for a new stylist ... So based on the reviews on Yelp I decide to try this salon. After some discussion of my needs , let me ad I had washed and let my hair dry naturally so the stylist could get a look at the growth patterns of my hair. . After a shampoo and relaxing scalp massage off to the chair we go, where she explained she would be cutting up underneath to take some weight out and cutting the ends evening it up... so a short time later I ask if she was almost done to which she replied yes... and it was this point boys and girls that I messed up .. I said and I said "don't be afraid to cut it a little " if think she heard,cut the hell out if it and show him you ain't scared. So needless to say I've been in a ball cap for a week now and from the looks of things I'm gonna be in it another month or so And if that wasn't bad enuff I went back to her later that morning to get it straightened out ,yep I'm a gluten!!! I love Inspiro! I just recently moved to San Angelo and was really scared I was not going to find an Aveda Salon here. A friend recommended Inspiro to me. Not only was i happy that there was an Aveda salon but these ladies are AWESOME! I see Beth for my cut and color and she is great. Their pricing is reasonable and the service is great. When I first moved to San Angelo several years ago I tried many different salons and stylists and there was no one I really loved. Inspiro opened up near my home, I had services with Lacy and then Candice and I've never gone anywhere else since. Lacy and Candice are both phenomenal. Candice has been my main stylist for the last year or two and she's great. The staff is friendly and professional and I'm always happy when I leave. Two stars just because they use Aveda products and for the most part are friendly. But I've never been so turned off by a supposed "Aveda" salon. The first time I went, I had my color history printed and brought with me to give the colorist (blond woman, don't remember her name) the idea of what I wanted as I had been with Aveda salons for 7 years. She basically stopped talking to me after that. No friendly chatting, no offering of something to drink, no Aveda customer service. She slapped the color on me so quickly (no foil application, just squirted it on large sections and applied with gloved hands and minimal brushwork), there was no finesse, scrubbed it into my hair and actually rubbed my wet-with-color strands together. If you know anything about hair, you know how brittle it is when wet. I've never had so much breakage after an appointment before. I was then passed off to someone else to cut my hair. I sat in the chair for an hour for a haircut! I've had new, fresh out of the Aveda Institute stylists give me a fantastic haircut and blow out in half the time. Not to mention when I got home, the right side was an inch and a half (no joke, measured it) longer. Also, there was no signature scalp massage with shampoos. Sad face. So, just beware. I think continuing education is a must and maybe get rid of the no tipping policy. Money talks and motivates. read more

She was willing to provide me with a partial refund, and apologized for the way the other employee spoke to me on the phone. Awful.... I went the first time for a cut and color. The results were alright... not worth the super high price. I made the mistake of going back because I'm new to the area and didn't know of anywhere else. I asked Samantha for an ombre effect on my hair. I specifically asked her if she knew how to do it and to explain the process to me. I showed her a few pictures. The results were horrible. I wish I had a picture. It was blotchy, damaged and completely uneven. I said I wasn't happy and she agreed. The owner came over and tried to say that's they way ombre should look. No. She told me maybe I should try curling it so you couldn't see the mistake. She said to go home and shampoo a few times and see if I changed my mind. No. Still too embarrassed to even leave the house without a hat. I went back and they put some toner on it. (Not sure why this didn't happen the first time) Now my hair still looks like sh*t and it's super damaged. I drove directly from the salon to the store to buy a box of dye because I can't afford to pay someone to fix it. So that was $115 bucks down the drain. Maybe other stylists are ok but my experience was BAD. They are nice on the phone and accommodating to your schedule but the results aren't worth it. read more

Run! Don't walk to this fabulous salon. I dreaded having to get my hair cut and highlighted in a "small" town so I went here on a recommendation of a classmate. Absolutely fabulous! Lacey is the owner and Master Designer and she is fantastic. This is an Aveda concept Salon and you get extras like a foot bath and hand massage. The receptionist is pretty awesome. Very friendly. The staff seem very friendly as well. When you first get there they ask you if you would some refreshments. It is a bit pricey as previous people have mentioned. I have medium length hair and for highlights and a cut it was $125. Highlights were $80 and a cut was $45. My stylist was Samantha and she was awesome. Super friendly and made me feel at ease. The environment at the salon is nice as well. They work as a team. To help accommodate everyone and not make you feel like you're waiting forever. I highly recommend this salon to everyone. I have had the same hair stylist for quite some time and was really nervous about trying some place new but this place has set the bar. read more

I have moved to San Angelo for 6 mos. to help with my new grandson. Like every other woman, I was really nervous about finding a hair stylist. Luckily, I looked on Yelp and there was Inspiro Salon!! I am thrilled with how Lacy has styled my hair; it's short and needed a new look. Saturday was my 2nd cut there and it is perfect for summer swimming. It is easy for me to blow out because the cut is so good. I found with my first cut it grew out beautifully, too, and the cut kept it looking great. Very happy with my service(s). Beth cut and colored my hair. I have a hard time finding stylists that can do bob/asymmetrical hairstyles and natural looking color services especially now that the military has changed its regulations on everything. My cut was great and my hair color turned out very natural looking (we did highlights and lowlights). After my first appointment with Beth, I ended up coming back to do just a few more highlights on the top of my head. Color service seemed very fast (compared to some places you feel like you're under a dryer for an hour). Very accommodating salon and they do late appointments (6-7 pm) which I think is great. My only suggestions would be if you have any issues on your first visit definitely call to come back in and try to work through those issues and don't be late! (I was very late for one of my appointments and had to reschedule - it was my fault.) read more
