Do not go here. I normally pay $70-85 to get my hair blown out. They charged me $125 and the only reason provided was because I had shoulder length hair and I got it curly. I didn't know it was extra to curl. Either way priced are totally miscommunicated and definitely hiked up. Never going back and if you want clear prices, I suggest you don't either. I just love this salon! I've been going here for the past 7 years and have never been disappointed with the styles I've received. From my wash to my styling, it's always been pleasant. The owner, Ida, is a gem and greets all customers when she walks in the door. My stylist, Santa, is also a gem and gets my hair right EVERY time. I usually get my hair straightened once a year for my birthday, so I decided to come here instead of my usual spot. I was told that my hair was too thick to receive a roller set, I had to get a blow out instead. That should've been my first sign to not come here. I have always gotten roller sets since a child and it was never a problem, it just took more time. I ended up paying $165 for this blow out because I was charged an extra $65 for being natural. As I started washing my hair last night, a strong chemical smell filled my bathroom and even my boyfriend noticed. While I wash my hair, it starts to literally fall out in clumps - to the point where I have a bag full of my own hair. My curl pattern is gone. I have been natural for almost ten years, and this has never happened. I will NEVER come back to this establishment and I will be posting all of my hair pictures on all of my social media. read more

I went to this establishment on April 12th, 2023. I washed my hair May 2nd, 2023 and my hair was completely straight. Before April 12th, my hair was extremely healthy and curly and now my hair is straight, even after washing and conditioning my hair. This is my hair before April 12th and on May 3rd after an olaplex treatment. Hopefully after multiple treatments I can get my hair back curly. This salon has really gone downhill. They put more into ways to charge their customers more money, instead of actual hair care and customer retention. I walked in requesting a wash and blow-dry, and was told I needed everything under the sun, except what I was initially asking for. After reiterating what I only wanted (wash and blow-dry), I received a normal wash (no deep conditioner or steam treatment), and a blow-dry. They charged $110.00 for a wash and blow-dry alone. This will be my last time spending my money here. My hair looks decent, but definitely not $110.00 worthy. Fool me once!!! I should have listened to the other reviews I read, and believed them. They'll make money from my visit today, but long term money will be lost to them. read more

So disappointed I feel ripped off. I went there inn hopes of getting a nice updo for my best friends wedding. I'm a hairstylist too aNd I could've done my own hair but I didn't want to worry about anything in such a special day. So I trusted them to deliver but that's not what happened. I got there I told them I had never been there and that I needed an updo for a wedding and showed them pic. They starred speaking Spanish to each other saying "who wants to do this?" Today was my first time trying them and I will not be back my hair looks nice but the pricing is outrageous... I called an hour prior and asked the cost of a blowout, flat iron, and trim. I was told it starts at $55 and a trim is $15. After my wash the lady said she was putting leave in conditioner in my hair. Ok fine. After I get the the register I'm told $115!!! I asked for what. I was now told the price starts at $65, the leave-in-conditioner is $15, and the trim is $15. Still doesn't add up so I questioned the lady. She said my blow out was now $85. DO NOT GO HERE. I had the work experience in the hair salon. I visited from San Francisco just to wash and blowing up my hair, simple. The stylists started with a flat comb to dry it out and I noticed the texture I stopped her and I asked what is going on? Why my hair looks burning up? she told ooh was your previous color, you have a damaged hair when my regular hairstyle in CA works perfectly with the texture and she has been treated it. The lady never accept that she messed it up. I tried to stay calm and give her a chance to fix it. I started crying because it was unacceptable. When she finished I was ready to pay and then surprise! they charged me $100 just to burn the hair. This is ridiculous! I brought my little sister in to get her hair flat ironed for picture day. One of the stylists suggested that she needed a deep condition, to which I agreed. My sister's hair turned out nicely for her pictures. A few days later, her edges are starting to fall out. Went on Saturday, December 17th for the first (and last) time after meeting a woman at the nail salon earlier who uses them. This lady was convinced is be happy and that because of the length of my hair out should cost me more than $45 ... NOT! It was $85 and but for the fact that I couldn't get into my regular stylist and needed something done before surgery, I would have walked out! And if the price tag wasn't bad enough, the wash lady was was horrible. Just overly rough, Ive never experienced anything like it before. So, next the stylist ... who either didn't soak English or understand. We were able to communucate some, but it was a wee bit disconcerting because she was doing my hair. The chick burnt my ear ... TWICE! And when I asked her to trim my bang, she wouldn't. Fast forward a couple of days. My hair smells burnt to the point that my granddaughter said something. The nape of the back of my neck is tender and I really wish I hadn't walked through their door. If this is what is to be expected from a Domnican Salon, I'll pass! I don't like how depending on the stylist the price changes. I get the same style every time and somehow I end up paying between $45-$65 because the stylist is different. I usually get a headache when I leave because they tend to be so rough. To top it off, my style only lasts a few days because I end up having to wash my hair again due to the fact that they don't wash/rinse my hair well. I actually came here twice. Both times I was disappointed. First guy didn't know how to line a beard to save his life. Totally neglected my neck and everything. 2nd time dude didn't even know what a caesar fade/blowout is. Then when I tell him to give a 2 on the side, he gives me almost a skin fade. I asked to make my sideburns into a point; he fades them completely off. Add to the fact that this place claims to be a Dominican barbershop and there's not ONE Dominican working.
