I left and received a call to come in within an hour after me leaving. I was excited. Kadi, took on the challenge of braiding my hair and when I tell you she did nothing short of a miracle. Another client came in and wanted twist, because the Bridgett was the only one that could do twist I had to switch to the other lady. I was ok with that until she started braiding my hair too tight. I told her not too tight and she would still braid tight. I shouldn't have to remind you for every braid. Bridgett on the other hand was told once and she made sure I was comfortable. Not to mention, the other lady took a 30min break to go eat. I was a little upset because what in the world, where did you go lady, are you coming back? When she came back down stairs I found out it was her birthday. I wished her happy birthday and she apologized for taking so long. So I quickly got over that. Then the daughter comes down and she starts braiding my hair because she didn't want to take out a weave. She was slower and even more heavy handed. Oh and Bridgett made parts so my edges wounded be braided and of course the other lady braided them anyway. Do I like the finish product? YES. Will I go back? YES. I hate my loc extensions. I already had loc'ed hair and it was a decent length. Why would I spend an exorbitant amount of money on locs only to take them out 2 weeks and 1 day later? Since they are interlocked into my real hair I am not going to try to comb them out and salvage my real hair. I'll start here 1. My hair is soft and dark brown the locs are off black and made with 4 C hair. They do not match my real hair AT ALL and the color washes me out. 2. They are stiff, itchy, not uniform size, heavy looking and ugly (think the hats in Jamaica with the locs attached to the hat). I don't know why Krystina didn't use the right color and/or at least explain that the extensions would not match my real hair color or texture. (Or explained anything, for that matter. I walked in and she got to work no "Q & A" prior to starting) 3. They are very heavy and very bulky and look very unnatural up close. 4. I tie up my hair (EVERY NIGHT) and my parts did not stay. (Perhaps inferior products) I have not done anything other than tie up my hair at night and untie it in the AM. I wish the professional (Krystina) would have analyzed my hair texture and density and advised differently based on her "healthy hair first" mantra. After all, I am not the professional! I came with my hair already washed, so she was able to get right to work. She styled my natural hair (TWA) into two strand twist. I was in and out in about an hour. It would have been an additional hour, but I opted to let my hair air dry as To do the twist out the next morning, right before work. I don't remember the products she used, but they worked for my 4c hair. The next morning, It was well moisturized... really good twist out.
