Horrible experience. The dentist showed no empathy or concern for my condition. My gums were badly swollen, and although they examined me, they offered no immediate relief or temporary treatment. They only advised me to visit a periodontist. I specifically asked whether they could do anything to help in the meantime, but they refused. This was a very disappointing and uncaring attitude from healthcare providers. I would not recommend this place. read more

Absolutely horrible care. They've apologized, upset that it hasn't been done. 5 visits for the same crown. Still not fixed. Always falls off in less than 48 hours. Last week they had the audacity to charge me for revisits when THEY KEEP SCREWING IT UP. Most pain I've ever had at a dentist on two of the visits. They had a dental aid fill my cavity last week. Please save yourself time and money and don't do here. Some of the staff is very nice. read more

Wow... where do I even start? First of all the office staff are incredibly rude and incompetent at their jobs. They failed to inform me of all the forms that were needed prior to the appointment and at the time of the appointment they not only made me extremely uncomfortable but they openly talked about me while I was standing right there. The office manager evidently doesn't know how to do her job and I'm pretty confident that none of the hygienists even went to school, I was SO uncomfortable. You're probably better off just not going to the dentist rather than going to this awful place. read more

Changed my 5-star review to 1-stars after they left me with an exposed nerve, ruined my wife's front teeth then to add insult to injury, billed me 2 years later for work I've already paid for, and that was submitted to my insurance company over 4 times and riddled with errors. ***UPDATE**** Refresh dental in cranberry township insisted my daughter needed a deep cleaning- just like they told me and many other people. which is only covered under insurance when you can prove that it is medically necessary. I asked to schedule just a regular dental exam and cleaning until she got things straightneed out financially to be able to go back in for the recommended deep clean, as she is between jobs, just bought a new car etc. they refused and told us that she either does what they recommended or they will not do anything with her!! - although that should always be a patients choice to decide what they want to do and when. and also a regular cleaning would have been better than nothing at the moment. she was told she had "pre- gingivitis". So we made an appointment with a different dentist office and we were told her teeth and gums were in great health!! no gum disease or risk. (which we assumed considering her gums are healthy color, no bleeding, and pain etc) so uncalled for for medical professionals to abuse their license in making up false information to get more money out of you!!!!! yet when you have a true concern you have to beg and plead for treatment or to be taken seriously!!!! we will never go back there. it is so important to be able to trust your doctor, dentist, etc. always do research on your own, second opinions and advocate for yourself!! read more

This dentist office misses a canal while doing a root canal, and then still charges the patient eventhough they've had to go to have the work redone elsewhere, as well as several ER trips for horrific pain. Their answer? Don't care, pay us. They don't care about their patients, they are still demanding payment for the initial shoddy work that caused severe health complications and multiple appts with an endodontist to fix their poor work. To top it off, the office manager "Jennifer" screams at and berates patients. She says it's "her office not the dentists" and she will not accept payment plans, everything must be paid at once. But then asks what you've paid towards existing work. When she refuses to take a $500 payment. She is completely out of line and on a powertrip. Nobody deserves to be treated like that, especially a patient who just had oral surgery to fix a problem YOUR office caused!!!! 0/5, would NOT recommend!!! Do not go to this dentist unless you want to be treated horribly and have to have the work redone elsewhere!!! read more

I have SOOOO much respect for the dentist and staff at this location. I am a 23 year old girl, who is terrified of needles. While I was at the dentist, I learned I had 8 tiny cavities. Which wasn't too surprising for someone who hadn't been to the dentist in 3 years. At 23, you are at the age where you probably could cry at the dentist and get away with it. But at the same time, you are old enough, you probably SHOULDN'T cry at the dentist. HA! LET ME TELL YOU, I BAWLED! I was so nervous about the novocaine shots. The staff was so incredible wonderful. I had 2 nurses on both sides of me holding my hands and comforting me. One of the nurses (I cannot remember her name. She has pretty reddish hair) took care of me like she was my mother. The shots didn't even hurt. They numb you before they even do the shots. The dentist takes his time and makes sure you are comfortable and are completely aware of what is happening. I am so thankful, I went here. The teeth look beautiful and I will definitely be going back! :) read more

This dental office is the absolute greatest. They have gone above and beyond for my daughter and I multiple times with our insurance, making sure we got as much coverage as possible for our (mostly my) issues. They were very nice, never made me feel bad about the state of my issues and were prompt in fixing them. I also always get the same technician now so it's nice knowing who we're seeing every time we need to go in. I would recommend this office to anyone and everyone! read more

My husband and I went to refresh dental because our insurance covers it! The staff was overall pleasant! We both had a cleaning and it cost us more ( $41.50 and $270 respectively) we needed a deep cleaning which we paid extra for! Completely understandable! I was told I needed antimicrobial agents in my teeth! That cost me $495 one day and $558.40 the next day! The office called the insurance company and said it would be covered! I received a bill for $220.50!!!! (5 months later) I called the billing company the woman I spoke to was very nice and kind! She said she would call the office and spoke to the office manager. The bottom line Refresh Dental says I owe $220.50! That's it! I am not going back there again! BEWARE! read more

I do not recommend this office at all. They say they care about their patients but all that matters is money. I was screamed at in front of a waiting room of other patients by the office manager in October, and I was again screamed at today on the phone by the office manager Jennifer. I have had 3 teeth worked on by this office... All 3 were fillings that all ended up needing root canaled afterwards. They did 2 root canals and one of those had to be redone by an endodontist. The 3rd tooth had to be root canaled today, it had a giant abscess under it so big it was pushing my tooth out of the socket. Because this office, my dentist office, refuses to see me. I have been in the ER 3 times because of dental issues since coming to this office. I could have died from a missed canal causing major infection. I could have had a stroke this week when this abscess got so bad it sent my blood pressure through the roof. Dr. Mort I had no problems with, other than the work she did needed redone by an endodontist. Dr. Watkins was fine with 2 of my children but was disrespectful and mistreated my child with autism. I stood in with my child and while the other dentist had been patient and understanding, Dr. Watkins repeatedly yelled at my son, told him to be quiet, refused to give him more novocaine when my son continued to say he felt the drilling. He said "oh will you just pipe down!" and other lovely phrases to a developmentally disabled child who was really doing a great job and cooperating but was expressing pain as he'd been directed to do. I wanted to speak to someone about it but the office manager is the person I'd have to speak to and she's the biggest problem. The office manager Jennifer, however, is out of control with how she treats patients. Screaming at patients, refusing to take payments when I've tried repeatedly to make payments, then refusing to allow me to be scheduled because I cannot pay off my balance in full. There is not one person who I know who could plunk down $4300 at once. And when you refuse to accept reasonable payments and put your patients lives in danger rather than treat them like human beings, you don't belong in the care industry. I've been to the hospital 3 times because of the work at this office and their refusal to see me, a patient. I have paid $2000 to an endodontist now after work they did on my teeth failed. I had 3 teeth worked on there, all 3 have ended up needing root canaled after they worked on them. Emergently. And the root canal they did needed redone, they missed a canal. So if you're looking for a good office who cares about their patients, this is not it. I owe them money for the emergent root canals they did in October, after filling those teeth in September. I've attempted to pay them payments but they refuse, state repeatedly WE DO NOT DO PAYMENTS!" and then throw personal insults about my insurance coverage/ financial situation. They have impressions for permanent crowns they're holding hostage, refusing to send out to have them made until payment in full is made. Who can pay all 4300 at once? I don't know anyone who is able to do that, I for sure can't. And repeated attempts by me to pay them in increments have been refused. Demeaning me as a person and a patient because I am disabled and have medicaid insurance is not acceptable. I do not deserve poor care or refusal of care because of my financial status or the fact that you see me as less than human and undeserving of compassionate care. Don't accept medicaid if you don't want to work with them and hate people who are financially disadvantaged. It is unacceptable is to take on medicaid patients and then treat them like shit and discriminate against them. I have never had an "office professional" scream at me and treat me in this way ever, and you have NO RIGHT to treat any patient like that. I've filed a complaint with my insurance and they said they've gotten so many complaints about this office and will no longer refer there. No one should be treated like this. read more

My first visit (a cleaning) here started a major issue about one year later. After the cleaning finished, the dental hygienist began to tell me that I should have all of my old filings replaced. Big red flag and I should have walked out at this point. I was actually looking to get all of them replaced, so I agreed to getting half of my mouth done that day. After the work was done I left and felt something was off. I went in and the bite was off on one of my molars which they "corrected". One year later, after several cleanings and exams by the dentist, I began to have severe sensitivity on that molar that they "corrected". I make an appointment and within the first two minutes of me being there they pinpoint the issue...the bite was still off. Not sure what the point of the exams are, if after several of them they can't spot an issue that they noticed within seconds of looking in my mouth, but only after I show them the location. Is it all a show? They supposedly (I'm still having issues) fixed the bite and I didn't receive an apology or some kind of plan to correct the issue that was clearly caused by them. To salt the wound I was also charged for the visit. I was told by their dentist and another that I basically have to suffer through the extreme sensitivity or get the tooth pulled. Thanks refresh dental!! TLDR: Dental hygienist recommended services I didn't need and now I have to live with extreme sensitivity in one tooth or pull it. read more

I went here maybe a year or so ago and just remembered that I wanted to leave a review. The office itself isn't bad, and the staff were pleasant. However, while I was getting a cleaning I could smell and taste that the tools had not been properly cleaned. Honestly one of the most disgusting experiences I have ever had.
