My originally appointment was at hi tech dental but I had to reschedule and that brought me here. Due to the previous reviews, I decided to time my entire experience. The people in the front were nice but you can tell that they are novice. It took a total of 10 minutes to get called from the waiting room. I did xrays so that I could get my cleaning done. There's too much back and forth between rooms and X-rays. It's like the office tried so hard to be high tech that they forgot to be functional. This took about 13 minutes total. The dental hygienist took 5 minutes to come in and .... I wouldn't make this place my dental home but it's definitely a good fall back dentist. read more

This place gets new doctors every year I been goin here 5 plus years and every time I get the home feeling they get a new staff customer service always suck they need to get rid of the "new manager" who book appointments and all over the phones needs cause she has no customer support or know how to talk to clients I feel they can't do anything in office everything is a referral to the next dentist it's like this place is the contractor of all dentist "what do you need o my doctor friend up the street can do it here's a referral" " o this doctor want to much to fix our mistake so you have to go else where" if you ask me this place is a scam go to u of d and have students in practice work on your stuff before this place read more

I'd rather have wooden teeth! the assistant act like she runs the place and it's not helpful at all! A sassy attitude and could not accommodate me or give me resources. I wanted my gap closed using the cheapest bonding for two teeth and they offered veneers for 6 !!! . I scheduled an appointment for teeth # 8 and 9 and they just filled in my cavity instead. I drove an 1 hour away from home just to feel like I'm not good enough or that my voice can't be heard!! I actually wanted to spend my money there???? This used to be a great office before they moved to this new building. My hygienist Candace was awesome and made me feel valued every time I arrived. Shortly after moving to this new building, I noticed the quality of the customer service greatly decline. I have had to deal with canceled appointments, insurance verification issues and being charged for services I didn't even receive. Today was the last straw, I made this cleaning appointment months ago and when I arrive they tell me that I can only get an x-ray and I will have to come back next week and get the cleaning that I scheduled for today. read more

They give excellent service, the Doctor is honest, extremely wise and professional. My cleanings are superb.

My granddaughter had an appointment for a clean the front desk staff LeAndra was awesome. The other front desk person always look anger on her face not a good representation for your corporation she needs to take lesson from Leandra. The Doctor and hygienist great. Very unprofessional. Today (3/10/22) was my appointment and when I arrived, they said they called and texted me on 2/22 to cancel my appointment. I have no messages or calls from them for that day from them. They did not reschedule me when I asked for the reason that the dentist would call me when she gets back from her emergency from 2/22. It took me 3 months to get in and now I have to wait to possibly not get called back. I lost 1.5 hours from my job and wasted gas to go to a cancelled appointment that they did not notify me about. I will not waste any more of my time for their incompetence. read more

The only thing I would trust them to do for me is a cleaning. I went for a follow-up tooth extraction because x-rays showed a cavity in my wisdom tooth. I waited for over an hour for the dentist to come into the room and when she finally did, she knew nothing about my medical history with them. She wanted to pull two teeth, I was stern in telling her "no, that's not what I was there for". She got an attitude and became very unhelpful. She then wrote me a referral for oral surgery (which when I went to the oral surgeon, he stated that I could've just had the cavity filled and asked why Refresh Dental didn't suggest that). The assistants were the friendliest, but I would let the dentists near me with a 10' pole. read more

Customer service here is great! Everyone at the front desk was extremely friendly. Candace cleaned my teeth. She was a Godsend! I had some issues with my insurance and she helped me sort it out. That and she was very thorough, funny and nice! Amazing experience. Very grateful and thankful for them! Very clean building and rooms. read more

Absolutely horrible customer service and no dentistry was performed. I had an 8am appointment and showed up at 8:05am (admittedly late). I called to ensure social distancing, was put on hold for five minutes, then told they couldn't get ahold of the front desk and to just go in. They stopped me at the door, said they needed to check my temperature (why it wasn't already at the door who knows) and I waited another five minutes outside. Then someone came out, said they only had a 10-minute grace period for appointment times, and denied my appointment, even though I passed the grace period due to them. Even if I showed up at 8am I still would have passed the grace period with their inefficiencies. DO NOT GO HERE! There are plenty of other dentist practices who care about their patients. As a consumer you always have a choice on where to spend your money. I would suggest not doing it here for dental services. read more

Stay far away from this place. 45 Minutes after my appointment I was finally in a room. When I made the appointment I told the person on the phone that I was coming in because I'd lost a filling. After x-rays I was told that I needed thousands of dollars worth of work. The dentist didn't even greet me when she walked in. She was totally rude. Unbelievable! read more

Really love my dental office, their new place is beautiful and refreshing (hence the name) Dentists here are really great and the staff are extremely polite, they keep you comfortable and value your time. I have switched my entire family to this office, we all love it! read more

As afraid as I've ALWAYS been of going to the dentist office, it's a must for me to take a moment and give my dentist (Dr Rita) and her assistant (Christie) a 5 Star rating. I had a major infection causing my tooth to be extracted and prep for implant. My dentist was informative about the steps, made sure I was comfortable, and definitely made sure I was fully numb before the process. She checked on me THROUGHOUT the entire time. I barely felt anything at all. Her bedside manner was amazing. If you are afraid of going to the dentist office and want someone who truly cares about your comfort and excellent work, please go see Doctor Rita at Refresh Dental in Southfield, MI. read more

Office staff extremely unhelpful. REFRESH dentist worked on two cavities and the subsequent pain was EXCRUTIATING! Went back two weeks to get help with the pain. Was told FIVE root canals were needed!!! They hesitated to prescribe any pain meds. Believing the horrific pain was due to needing a root canal, a pre-auth form was required by medicaid. The office staff had to be told to send the form. They said they were BUSY but would try to get it in the MAIL the next day. Would take upwards of TWO weeks before authorizations are typically received. This was an EMERGENCY! I had to tell them to EMAIL the form and even gave them the email address. And in the meantime, the pain was unrelenting. Went another dentist the next day. He FOUND & REMOVED A WOODEN SPACER the Refresh dentist used when doing the filling. The new dentist sealed the nerve area and the need for a root canal will be revisited in a few months. NOT FIVE ROOT CANALS, BUT ONE. This location is definitely not recommended!!!!!! HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE ALL AROUND!!!!! read more

This office wasted my time and patience. After an hour wait I finally got a room and had to wait another 45 minutes for the hygienist to come in, 20 more for the dentist, and even having to wait to be checked out at the end of my 5 minute cleaning and check up. Bad service in general and definitely not worth the 2+ hour wait. read more
