The movie theater was nice and quiet, and there were plenty of employees around who were very friendly and helpful. The concession stand was fully stocked, and the prices were pretty standard for a movie theater. What I didn't like was the seating. I ended up in a regular seat instead of a reclining one, and I didn't even think to check if reclining seats were available. At this point, I honestly can't remember the last time I went to a theater with standard chairs. With the cost of movie tickets these days, I've come to expect reclining seats as part of the experience, so that was definitely a downside for me. read more

I sent my kid and friend to the theatre only for them to get denied access, because her friend didn't have her ID yet. they're both seventeen and one had her id but they didn't allow them in. i think it was because they were black and had pride pins, and the one had a flag on the back of her hoodie. i don't recommend this place for ANYONE who is POC or LGBT. they DONT allow it here. Absolutely ridiculous. This theater has a 6:00 PM curfew but somehow continues selling tickets for movies after that time. Genius logic. When we pointed out the problem and asked for a refund, the manager refused. When we asked to switch to another movie instead, also refused. So basically they'll gladly take your money but won't offer any solution when their own rules cause the issue. The manager was rude, dismissive, and acted like basic customer service was a personal inconvenience. No accountability, no professionalism, and no concern for customers whatsoever. Staff is rude & not helpful! They acted like we were a huge inconvenience because they had to help us. The machine out front would not take our gift card. When we finally were able to use the gift card we paid $45 for 3 tickets. The movie theater is old & smells musty. Popcorn was okay but the soda was flat & they had an attitude about replacing it. We bought tickets to see "Glass Onion" for Thanksgiving weekend, but learned that the theater was recently closed due to bed bugs (11/15/2022). It's probably best to for the theater to upgrade its seats from fabric to leather. News outlets reported that the theater was treated for bed bugs and re-opened, but we didn't want to take any chances and decided to see the movie in Lititz. The tickets were expensive, the condiments were expensive, they won't offer a cup for water but offer a $5.00 cup which you can put water in from the fountain. The floors in the hallway were dirty, the floors in the theater were dirty, and the seats made me feel like I was sitting in coach (-) seats in a "economical" airline (that can't give you water without paying $5.00). I also failed to mention the movie "started" at 2:30, but at 2:49 we are still watching commercials and a de deafening level. Save your money and don't come here. read more

This theater is fantastic - it's a big theater experience without feeling super crowded and packed. I've been able to see movies here on opening nights and random movies on a random weeknight, and at all times the staff have things under control and are very helpful with any questions or services you need while there. They keep the place clean and looking great too - it doesn't feel run down or unloved at all. Theater quality with audio visual tech is fantastic as well. There's no better place to see the next big movie release! Support your local theaters and keep this industry alive - I'm thankful to have theaters in an increasingly "stream it from home instead" climate! I usually love going to this theater. There is a new curfew rule, that was NOT clarified upon our arrival, stating that a child under 18 has to be accompanied to the movie by an adult. Me and a group of friends, under 18, walked into the theater. Upon arrival into our movie, a security guard asked if we had a parent. I told him yes, that my mother yes in the restroom. Later, I went looking for my mom. She wasn't in the bathroom, so me and my friend started to check the other theaters to see if she had gone to another theater with my brother. The same security guard came up to us and asked what we were doing. I told him I was looking for my mother. He told us the theater she was in, and with her, we went back to our movie. At this point, we had another adult with us. So, my mom went back to finish the other movie with my brother. The manager proceeded to go to her theater, and tell her this was unacceptable. The same security guard told my mother we needed to be protected because we were "running around looking damn near naked". For context, all of my friends were wearing hoodies and sweatpants. Being a unusually hot day for March weather, me and my friend took advantage of this heat and wore shorts. We both were wearing crew neck hoodies and pajama shorts. These shorts were nothing on the subject of looking "naked". I found this highly inappropriate and it made me feel very uncomfortably for him to take it upon himself to say something like that. I understand the rules, and I understand why it could be a danger to be alone. But what I don't understand, is why this security guard felt the need to comment on our outfits. This man also continued to go into detail about predators in movie theaters. If he felt that our safety was of such importance, he could've say with us himself rather than causing an unnecessary problem and a spoil of our night. Some may say I am complaining, and if you are, you truly don't know how it feels to have someone comment on your clothing or appearance. I did not feel safe. I saw many reviews from years ago indicating that the theater was dirty, but in my experience, as of July 2023, the theater was actually quite nice! Don't expect much, just a normal movie theater; however, the staff were super friendly and the quality of the audio/visual were good. Seats are a little old, cloth, not leather, but comfortable! When this theater first opened as Hoyts Cinema 14 it was great. This theater has really gone downhill. The screens are mediocre and so is the sound, but it's still better than the TV at home. But tonight was my worst experience here. I purchased a ticket for what I though was a 10pm showing because that's what was on the board by the register. When I walked into the theater it was empty and dirty and the screen was off. When I looked at my ticket the movie was actually at 1030pm and not 10pm. Wasn't happy but decided I'd sit and wait. Then I find out they didn't even clean the theater after the last showing whenever that was. Garbage all over the floor and unfinished drinks in the cup holders, disgusting. Don't think I will be coming back here after this experience. read more

Went to see Spider-Man: No Way Home for my birthday. The showing was late in the evening, yet there were still toddlers running around the theater screaming throughout the whole movie. Not an usher or security person in sight. The movie is PG-13, they shouldn't have been allowed in the theater to begin with. No one was taking tickets, so I don't doubt they just snuck in. They do kids parties here, cool idea but my 6 year old, not short of stature could not reach the soap in the bathroom. Checked in on 11/14/2015. The best decision this theater took was to screen Bollywood movies. No other theater in the area screens them. So, even though it is not in a convenient location, this is where I go. Stadium seating, never too crowded unless it is first day of a much anticipated movie. Bathrooms are clean. The only thing standing between a five star rating and the current rating is the average sound system. It seems older and needs to be upgraded. This place sits on top of a hill and the outside view is nice. What does that have to do with the movies, you ask; nothing. It's just nice to step out and enjoy the view this place has. Now the theatre itself is pretty much like a regular movie theater. Ticket kiosk, the refreshment counter, your arcade game area (I think) and your theater rooms. Nothing else seem to stand out. Straight forward movie theater, get your tickets, get your refreshments and go see your movie. I recommend this place. read more

They have a reward program - free to join, you earn points for each visit and then you get free popcorn, tickets after a number of points. Price check please... The theater is nice, the parking is great, its right off the highway, and there is shopping & restaurants two streets away. My main gripe is the 3:00 showings now cost $9.00, the same price as the evening shows. And this time a small Slurpee is $7 and a small bag of popcorn is $5. I might be cheap here, but it seems $31.00 for 2 mid-afternoon tickets, a small drink, and a small popcorn is a little over-priced. This place was the bomb when it first opened, I loved it so much. i remember seeing lord of the Rings there, along with Star Wars: the Phantom Menace. Good Times, Good Times, I thought the thing that was the coolest was the moviephone.com where you could go online and purchase tickets (a dollar extra) that would have them in a little kiosk, no waiting in line, guaranteed availability. Took my kids and their friends to see "Cats and Dogs 2" The prices were outrageous!! $11 for a matinee adult and student and $10.50 for a child's ticket????? I couldn't believe it!! The concessions were even more expensive. I paid $25 for a large popcorn and 2 large sodas. NEVER AGAIN! The theater itself seemed great. The seats were nice. Stadium seating is always a plus. The 3D movie was good also. All in all, I think the thing that set me off the most was how expensive it was. In the future I'll check pricing before I jump into any commitments. :) read more

I appreciate the convenience of ordering my tickets online but that is way out of balance with the inconvenience of getting to the joint. Make 3 left hand turns and go back somefer access road, up a hill, across the river Styx and you finally end up in this crazy parking lot, where you now have to navigate through children, groups of teenagers and idiots in luxury cars taking up 2 parking spaces. Great theater. We got tickets online and it was fast and easy. Getting in was a snap with tickets in the phone. The popcorn was fresh and hot, and the sodas were way too big and cold - just what I expect in a theater. The seats were comfortable, although it was hard to get in and out (aisles in front of the seats were narrow). The screen was great, visibility was no problem, and it was loud enough to drown out noisy people. It gave us a place to see the movie we wanted to see, and it was an enjoyable experience. For the upscale Movie theaters in the Burg' it's the Regal or the Great Escape. I like the Regal a little better, although I often turn too early and have to make a U turn or wind my way around all the vacant commercial buildings and/or RV's. Always wondered what was supposed to be there ( since who builds a Movie theatre in what amounts to the middle of nowhere? ) That's prob why it never seems to be too crowded. Just saw Harry Potter in Theater 8, which has a huge screen, comfy seats, and great sound. Ticket prices are fair. $7.50 for a Monday Matinee. They still have the Regal card and you can still get the discounts. $1.00 M&M's on Mondays. read more

This use to be the best theater in Harrisburg 20 years ago. It's sad that it's still the best theater because it's the only theater in Harrisburg. Movie was supposed to start at 1:10 it's now 1:15 and the screen is black. The 3 or 4 teenagers at the front are useless. I am an unlimited member so I go here a lot . This happens once a week. No one either knows how to turn on the movie or just don't care. Screen is still pitch black as I wait . This is pitiful and sad. read more

How many chances do ya get? This will be my second review based upon my last 4 visits. One was sub-par with children kicking my seatback and no ushers to handle the situation. Next visit was good except for the fact that no-one checked to see if I bought a ticket! 3rd trip was good, friendly staff all around . Now, I arrive for a matinee and again nobody checking for tickets. Is Regal giving away movie showings? Worst of all, though, is when I purchased my snacks. I placed my order for popcorn and a drink. The employee proceeded to get the food and drink while I swiped my Regal rewards card using the scanner they provide for the customer. I heard a beep and thought all was good. I handed him my payment and checked the screen. My rewards credit wasn't used (free upgrade on popcorn and drink) I asked him about it and he says " Ohh.... sorry. You can use the reciept for more credits." Can't void the transaction and re-ring? Nope. Let's not forget that he never even ASKED me if I had a rewards card. Definitely showing its age, but a good deal. Chairs were narrow and it took me several tries to find one that wasn't broken. Audio was pretty poor. Screen had a tear in it visible throughout the entire movie. BUT, at $2.50 for first run movies, I'm willing to forgive quite a bit. read more

I ordered two Hot Dogs at 3. It took a full hour and I missed 15 minutes of the movie waiting for them. If I didn't show up 45 minutes early I would have literally missed half the movie waiting for my food. Other then that, theaters are theaters. But Hot Dogs take MAYBE 9 minutes to make frozen. read more

Great place to catch a movie. Signup for the Regal VIP card and you can earn refreshments and free tickets! Everytime we go we get a coupon for a free small/med soda or a free small popcorn - - you can upgrade those coupons for cheap!! for instance if your coupon is for a free small popcorn you can upgrade to a medium for 50 cents!! and a large for $1 - - also the crowds are never too huge - - i usually get there about 10min before the show starts and i always get good seats! This theater is always spotless. From the front door to the theater rooms to the bathrooms, it's the cleanest theater I've been to in a long time. It's not really popular anymore (the Great Escape in Harrisburg Mall I think takes a lot of their business) so there's never a long wait, and staff is always courteous and accommodating. This is the spot to go on movie-night if you're in the area. 14 screens and stadium seating with mostly mainstream theaters. Pretty typical Regal Cinemas theater but we like it because of the crowds - minimal talking during the film and I've never heard a cell phone go off. Plenty of parking and close to I-83. I like Colonial Park but it's easier to get out of this theater when your movie's over. It's clean and not too busy during the week or in the day. read more
