Regal offered a free screening for Sarah's Oil, so I figured why not--and I'm so glad we went! This movie theater has been here for years and has gone through a few changes but it has always been fairly maintained and stays clean. This theater is also huge!!! It even has a second floor so you can easily exit at the top from the theaters. Lots of cozy seats and options with regular seating which have reclining cushy seats and trays that swivel for convenience. 2d, 3d, and 4d theaters. They also have a game room and offer party events. Food can get pricey but if you sign up for their rewards you can get some good discounts and free screenings which this is the first I've caught and it was worth it! I ordered the buffalo wrap with fries and they subbed the fried chicken with grilled for me and that thing was packed full and actually pretty good for theater food but the fries were cold, old, and salty. If you don't have Regal Rewards yet, you're missing out

I enjoy Regal cinemas and this one has managed to maintain its "Lone Star" Texas Ranch style look to it, which makes it unique in that way. Stopped by on a Saturday evening where surprisingly it wasn't too busy. Bring a jacket or blanket as it does get cold. Ambiance: 3/5 While I enjoy the decor and the change from the standard model of what Regal cinemas has updated it's other 3 theaters to, the one thing it needs is upgrade on it's seats. I like that they recline, but some of them are broken or the leather is worn out. The screening room I was in had reclining seats with a table, which the 3 new ones only offer it to the VIP screening movies. There is a "restaurant" area that allows you to purchase food aside from nachos or popcorn and a bar. Service: 5/5 The staff was friendly and attentive unlike other branded theatres where the employees are too caught up on their cell phones. The cashier wasn't sure on a question I had and went to the extent of asking a manager, rather than just saying they don't know. The screen for my movie wasn't working so I spoke to an usher and he immediately called someone and within less than 10 minutes, our screen had visuals. Food: 4/5 I got a water and Tostitos nachos. Jalapeños is an extra charge, I remember when jalapeños were self serve and free. But now everything comes at a cost. The nachos were basic, just cheese and jalapeños. I asked for cheese on the side because when the cheese is put on, the chips get soggy and I prefer a crunchy nacho than a soggy one. I do like that the fountain drinks are self serve, so you can refill when you need and not limited to one fill. The one thing that always gets me is people going to see a movie and then talk through out it all. Some whisper and from time to time that's fine, but throughout the whole film is insane to me. Wish there were a pre-screening notification aside from what's on the screen, to inform viewers to be mindful of other guests as we'd like the courtesy to enjoy the movie and not the extra dialogue and soundtrack.

It's been many years since I've been to this theater, and I was thoroughly impressed by our recent visit! The establishment was very well-kept, especially considering its age. The auditoriums were clean, the reclining seats were fully functioning and quite comfortable. The concessions areas were fully-stocked and pristine. Even the restrooms were in good condition. Employees were helpful and attentive, keeping a busy pace. A great impression of the establishment & its staff on a Sunday afternoon!

They need to upgrade to recliners. Concession prices are ridiculously high (higher than C!nemark). Nice big lobby and friendly staff.

Ask the Community - Regal Lone Star

    Is it open despite COVID-19?

It was opened temporarily, but closed again at the end if last week. I believe it was due to a lack of revenue rather than COVID-19 though.

Does this theater care about its patrons by offering a security patrol to watch their cars while they're inside spending money?

Yes, they do! I've seen both off-duty, uniformed HPD - as well as now they regularly have armed security. They do have a vehicular presence in the parking lots and on the weekends or major opening weekends, I've seen an even heavier presence.

We have been there before and this place is Absolutely Beautiful and the Food is Delicious. We rented out 'The Audrey', which is a Private Dinning area and Private Theater with those comfortable seats you can lay back in and enjoy the movie. But first, a little about 'Star Cinema Grill'. When you first walk into this place you are amazed at how Beautiful it is. The approach to the Ticket Area is Very Impressive. They even have Mask for those that forgot theirs - and their Entire Staff wears a Mask. Next is the Bar/Dinning area that is AwesomlyBeautiful. At first look you think you're on a Cruise and aboard a Very Beautiful Ship. Everything about this place is Elegant - even the walkways to each Theater - and the Restrooms - Yep, even them. My Wife said that she has a dress just like the carpet here - sure glad she didn't wear it last night, I might not find her. Now, back to the review - The Audrey Dining area was set up with separate tables for each couple social distanced apart. The Manager, Colleen, met with us and we went over the evening. Everyone arrived on time and MJ, our Private Server, took our drink orders and returned pretty quick with our drinks. I'm having their 'Frozen Jack-N-Coke' and my Wife is getting their 'Texas Mule'. F.J&C is my Favorite Drink and when it arrived I was totally impressed as to the appearance of this drink - it was Fluffed Up above the rim of the glass. This was a Pretty Good Drink and the taste of Jack - and it's Fluffed Up. My Wife enjoyed her 'Texas Mule' and had a couple of these during the evening. MJ, our Server, took all our orders and placed them electronically. Their Menu consist of 'Previews' as Appetizers, 'Feature Presentations' as Entrees (along with Pizza and 'Green Screen' for Salads) and 'Closing Credits' as Desserts. They also have listed 'Kids Corner' for the Kiddies. The other side of the Menu list all the Drinks they offer - and there is a lot of them with Very Cool Names, along with 'Classic Candy' and 'Quick Flicks' (Popcorn, etc..). They also have a lot of Draft Beers on Tap - that's always good to know. My Wife ordered their 'Love Me Tenders'; Hand-Breaded Chicken Tenderloins with Seasoned Fries, Texas Toast & Country Gravy. I am having 'The Godfather' (Pizza); Sausage, Pepperoni, Peppers, Onions, Mushrooms, Black Olives, Tomatoes and Cheese. Note: They make their own Crust here and you can also have their Cauliflower Crust. While we waited for our food we chatted and enjoyed our drinks - and I really enjoyed my Fluffy-Frozen Jack-N-Coke. This was some Good Stuff. Soon, and I mean Real Soon, MJ started bringing out our food. My Wife's 'Love Me Tenders' look really good and their 'Presentation' is Beautiful. My 'Godfather' also looks Very Yummy and it was. Nice Fresh Flavor of Everything and the Crust is Lightly-Crunchy-Liciousness. Everyone enjoyed their food and ate all they could but due to the abundance of food on each plate and there were plenty of To-Go-Boxes prepared. You get a lot of Deliciousness at Star Cinema - but I ate all of mine because that's what I do. 'Star Cinema' provides you with a list of Movies to choose from for your Private Showing and we choose 'The Personal History of David Copperfield' based on the 1850 Novel 'David Copperfield' by Charles Dickens, which is Very Interestingly Done Different-ly Movie you will ever see - or something like that. You also can bring in any Movie you want on DVD (except a Disney Film) and it will be shown on the Big Screen for your Private Groups Enjoyment. When Dinner was done, we took our seats in the Theater section of 'The Audrey' which has those Plush Seats and more. They also offer Blankets for you to wrap up in if that's what you want - and a lot of our Group did just that. This place really goes all out for Customer Service. My Wife and I grabbed some seats and opened up our Popcorn Boxes that they provided for Everyone - and started enjoying the Coming Attractions and the Popcorn. This Popcorn is pretty good. I'm not a Popcorn Eater per-say but - I finished off my entire box half way through the movie - It's That Good. We enjoyed the Movie and it's Delightful Weirdness. Our Server stayed with us the entire time providing the Best Service you could get anywhere - and this is at a Theater. The 'Star Cinema Grill' offers the Best Service along with Delicious Food in a Very Elegant Setting. They also have $5 Tuesdays for Movies and offer Special Drinks on various days for only $5 - such as the 'Texas Mule' on Thursdays along with 'Craftmans Boch' - a Very Dark Beer that some of our Group enjoyed - and did I tell you I enjoyed my 'Fluffy-Frozen Jack-N-Coke? - well, I did. Check out the 'Star Cinema Grill' on Facebook and on-line - They are Awesome - They also can Delivery your Food Order via Grubhub directly to your home or office.

The theater was dirty and poorly maintained. I paid over $30 for a large popcorn, two drinks, and a bag of M&M's. When I went to get my drink, the ice machine on the left had no ice at all. The drink stations were filthy, and the floors were covered in popcorn and spilled beverages, making them sticky and unpleasant to walk on. When we entered the theater, there was popcorn left on the seats, indicating that the area had not been cleaned before the next showing. Additionally, the two employees at the ticket stand were on their phones, leaning on the counter. They did not greet us or show any form of hospitality. The only positive part of the experience was the employee who took our order--this individual was respectful and kind, which I appreciated. Overall, the theater needs better management, a more effective cleaning crew, and improved staff training. I have been coming to this location since I was a child, and I have never experienced such poor service until now. I spent nearly $60 on this visit and left feeling disgusted and disappointed. I hope this complaint is taken seriously and leads to improvements.

Still full from lunch so mostly drinks. Servers were attentive. There was a button on the chair if you wanted service. The movie was really good. I got nervous when a group of younger kids filed in and proceeded to sit in the very top row behind us. Not nervous about them being kids but they were a lively bunch, from a birthday party. Great idea to have a party at the movies. Bad idea to have it at this kind of movie. Before the movie started, we heard "hee hee" an unhealthy amount of times. We sat through about half the movie and they got restless. Standing up, talking, moving around. I complained (rang the food buzzer) and the worker said someone already complained and the manager has addressed them. They will address them again.
