There aren't many movie theaters on this entire island so I was expecting it to be pretty bad. But it's actually quite nice in my opinion. It's very clean, there's lots of parking, and they have new movies. It's relatively spacious. My only critical comment is the recliners aren't that great. They don't recline back very far, or at least as far as other theaters. read more

Maybe 3D was a scam? The movie looked the exact same way with and without the glasses made no difference at all maybe y'all need an update? A few times a month, they have Monday Mystery Movie night where tickets are $5 and you go in to be surprised with what's showing. It's a great time for Movie lovers. The staff is mainly teenagers and, while they could move a little faster, they are all professional behaving. They have an expanded menu now which is decent. Overall, as a place for a fun night or afternoon out, this is a safe choice. read more

This theater experience was terrible! The showtime was 6:10, and they had us captive through 30 minutes of commercials! For junk food ! Then there were 20 minutes of previews ! The movie didn't even begin till 7:00 p.m. This was so disrespectful to the audience . The volume on the movie was entirely to low, and the AC was extremely cold . Telling an employee didn't make a difference. The hallway and the ladies room were filthy. There was TP strewn on the bathroom floor, the soap dispenser was empty, and the sink counter was full of water. It really was disgusting. I will never come to this theater again! read more

This is the one and only movie theater on island that allows you to get decent movie coverage throughout the year. And as someone who moved from the mainland a few years ago, it has been my saving grace. There are plenty of quirks with this 2000s era building... Starting off with the fact that nothing is modernized inside. You still have to get soda refills from behind the counter and you have to deal with older seats and older infrastructure inside and out. It's in the Maui mall there's obviously plenty of parking but it definitely needs a desperate refresh and hopefully would get IMAX soon. read more

Smal but functional, Regal Maui Mall was a good theater. Parking is abundant as it's in the mall itself and walking there isn't difficult by any means. The selection of shows were good and the staff were friendly. There are reclining seats and the rows are spacious. The theater is a bit on the outdated side but it doesn't hinder the experience at all. The areas were clean and no sticky floors anywhere which is about all you can ask for. A good theater, not much else to comment on. read more

A group of mentors and littles went from Big Brother, Big Sister to see the Lilo & Stitch 2 movie and it was a great afternoon. Relaxing recliners, lots of leg room, great sound, unhealthy treats galore including fried and candy. Friendly staff and clean theatres. Still not allowed to take your own water bottle in, pity. Movie was hilarious but a tear jerker. Another great time at Regal Maui Mall :) read more

Are we in HELL? 15 minutes of stupid commercials?? Seriously this is the last movie I will see at the theatre . What a joke to charge us $10 per ticket to watch your advertisements. Stupid crappy company! Totally ruined our experience at the movies. Plus we were in the second row and were nearly looking straight up! Came here last week not once but twice and saw the two Greatest movies in History! Casablanca showed for a special viewing and seeing on big screen is impressive. Here's viewing you kid! And next I saw COCAIN BEAR a tail of a bear and his drug cravings! I ordered preselected seats On Fandango and showed my phone to enter. Purchased a Coke with extra ice ( come on it's hot out in Maui ) and a bag of popcorn. Now I had to butter the popcorn myself UGH but never the less I was set for the movies. Each theater had lazy boy type chairs the folded out for optimum comfort during your viewing experience. That's about all I can say at this point. Anyways love the theater and will come back for movie night! read more

Thanks Regal for teaming up with AARP to bring us this first rate movie - Beetlejuice Beetlejuice! A bunch of us seniors got to recline in the big roomy seats and enjoy a (free) movie. We've been going to this theater since forever and it's always clean and friendly. I like that it's wheelchair friendly too. We'll be back. read more

This is the theater that usually has the movies I want to see. Of course we only have 3 movie theatres on the island 4 if you count the MACC. I usually have no complaints about the movie theatre. This time though the fact that I have seen several movies recently in fact this weekend. We went and saw Guardians of the galaxy part 3 and the covenant. Both were great movies, the fact that they barely run the a/c in either theater. My girlfriend who usually runs cold was complaining that it was hot. That's when you know it's really hot. The snack bar is ok. The usual overpriced and antiquated. It was nice for a time they were offering food options. That were not badly priced. But that didn't last long. Would be nice if we had the options like Oahu or the mainland but I won't hold my breath. Overall it is an ok theatre. But far from the experience I have had at many other theaters. If it improves I will definitely update my review. read more

The theater smells disgusting, the floors-from the lobby and concession area all the way into the theater is covered with popcorn, crumbs, napkins, etc. it just feels dingy and gross. Once we stepped foot into the movie theater (#12) it smelled terrible, and the chairs are extremely weathered and falling apart. We will NOT be coming back here. I'd rather fly to Oahu to go to the movies. read more

Had a terrible experience with a Manager. She was very unprofessional speaking with a former employee who came in to watch a movie with his wife. She spoke with him in front of customers which I find very unprofessional. It would have been a better idea to pull him aside away from customers. Customers don't need to know employee business. Managers do better especially if your employee is still brand new you shouldn't be putting them out on the floor without knowing how to do it whether they are ready or not. They should be shadowing an experienced employee. I will never come back again if issues like this keep happening. read more

I have been to this theater many years ago and I remember thinking it was very nice. I came here a few days ago and was a little taken aback by the sad condition it is in. I will start by saying I arrived at noon on a Monday so it's not like there had been a ton of people through there already that day. The bathroom was just gross. Locks don't work and some of the stalls were out of supplies. The sinks, and I mean all the sinks look like they gave not been cleaned in a year. I got my popcorn and proceeded to my seat. The theater is spacious with lots of room to move about. The seat cushions are very comfortable but the leather is peeling and the tables are peeling as well, but I do like the fact that there are tables. My popcorn was on point though. Nothing worse than bad popcorn at a theater. It took forever, and I mean forever for the movie to start! Ad after ad after after ad after preview after ad. Ugh! Why??? I understand a few ads and previews but this was to the point of being ridiculous. Finally the movie started and the volume was so high I had to stuff some napkin in my ears. I know I sound whinny but I guess I just had higher expectations. All that being said I would go here again but I really really hope they at least clean up the bathrooms and the furniture as it just seems to be rundown. read more

We had time to kill and ventured over to the theater. It was about a 5 minute walk from our hotel. They have security outside checking your id and vaccination card to gain entry, once inside we got our tickets and concessions all together. Misty was our attendant at concession. She was pleasant and quick. We got popcorn and a drink. We also had our own candy we brought in. A really nice attendant, Lena, opened our door to the theater, which was very nice. The theater was very clean from outside to inside seating. We appreciated that very much. The seats were comfortable and clean. We enjoyed our time there. read more

We rarely go to the theater anymore but ,we had gift cards from 3 years ago. With covid19 and everything closed down time got away from us. Well to my surprise the gift cards never expire! That was a nice surprise. We really had a great time. The seats are as cozy as ever and it was fun to watch a movie on the big screen again! We don't go out to the movies very often. Just too easy to rent a disc and pop it into the player at home. But, we just went to the beautiful Regal Theater in the Maui Mall and I want to go back again soon. The snack bar was clean and tidy when we were there. Always a good sign. We were there on Tuesday and the popcorn was half priced, so you might not have to take out a payday loan. Hot dogs were $2, less than half off. They serve the good quality Nathan's dog, too. The condiment table was also looking good. Someone even had the little mustard and relish packets stacked neatly in their hoppers, instead of piled in there. Us it OCD or just having pride in their workplace? The chairs are those recliners that let you stretch out and relax with your feet up during the show. There aren't so many seats in the theater, since these take up more space. So, you may want to reserve your spot early. Every seat has a little swing-away table so you don't have to hold your food in your lap and, of course, a cup holder so you don't wind up wearing your drink. The screen in our theater was clean and the video was crystal clear. So glad they have replaced the old film with dazzling digital projectors (BTW, I helped create this technology). The sound system excellent, too. It was a very enjoyable experience and I can't wait to return. read more

Came here for the last showing on Tuesday night. The movie was at 8:20 & I got there at 8:38. I tried to open the doors and they were all locked. I saw at least 4 other employees just doing their own tasks & I was trying to get their attention. One of them looked up & said "We're closed!" I was confused bc I see that there are movies still showing. I look at the regal app to make sure I have the correct information & it says they're opened so I'm confused. I wanted to purchase my ticket at the box office to avoid the "convenience fee" but that couldn't happen in this moment apparently. So I purchased it online 10 ft away from the box office and proceeded to keep knocking on the door. They kept ignoring me & the same long haired employee kept mouthing "we're closed!" I finally took out my phone & showed him my online ticket through the door by waving it at him & knocking on the door. I felt like a crazy person but I didn't just rush here at 8:30pm from home just to be turned away. Finally someone came to the door & said "I'm pretty sure we're closed.." I showed him my online ticket I just purchased & said how can that be so? The manager at the concessions signaled for us to come over & I showed him my ticket. He said that they close 20 mins after the last showing and that they couldnt sell me anything. Um ok... what do late people do? just get locked out when there is an entire building of people inside? He scanned my ticket & said he couldn't sell me any concessions bc they were closing down. Fine, I just wanted to see this movie so I went in. I was sure that I was incredibly late into this movie but I was already there. I go into the auditorium & the previews were still going! Great, I didn't miss it but wow how was I turned away, locked out, & told to pretty much screw off bc they "are closed."??? I've worked & currently work in the service industry so I get it, you want to close up and go home but this was so wrong. Just a few weeks ago I came to see the 15th anniversary Coraline screening they had showing and I wanted to use my regal member credit. So I redeemed them & made sure I read the entire fine print for the showing to make sure I could use it. Didn't say anything about not being able to use it. So my kid and I show up excited to see it in theaters, we are big fans & own the movie, have seen it hundreds of times but wanted to see it on the big screen. We purchase the whole shebang and spend the $20 for popcorn & drink in the special containers & when it was time to pay I am told I cannot use the 2 free movie tickets I already have redeemed on the app towards this movie. It's literally the same price. So if we wanted to see this movie it would be over $50 to see a movie we've seen with everything. I told the manager that there is no where on the site that says I can't redeem it for the movie. She just said, sorry you can't. So we now have a large popcorn & drink & now after this 10 minute exchange we are now late for this movie That I have to pay full price for. I just took it on the chin & decided to pay it bc I had already got a sitter for my 2 yr old who was currently sleeping at home as I planned to have a date with my other kid To see this movie... We are now 20 mins late & I decided to choose The next showing bc what's the point?! Next one is 3 Hours later at 6:40 & they only have 3D so it'll cost more. (This is a Sunday, a school night & I really don't want to but gahh my kid had her heart set on this..) So I pay the $ & leave. We all come back for the 6:40 showing. Get our 3d glasses that we had to come back to the ticket taker to ask for bc we were not given it when he first scanned us in. I notice that my glasses are really off. The picture is super discolored & blurry. I decide to go ask for another pair. I come back & it's the same. I don't really see anyone else say anything so I just take off my glasses & proceed to watch without. Maybe it's just my eyes? Literally feeling crazy here. I try my kids glasses & it's the same. I notice one other patron get up. I decide to ask about my glasses again. The worker comes into the auditorium & sees for himself. He says "omg, this is awful." i now have a headache from watching this blurry movie. He says he will go tell the manager & it is now a good 30 mins into the movie. I once again go outside to ask what's going on. They said they had the wrong lense on & will switch it. What??? This entire experience was just awful & one big let down. I was beyond annoyed & upset but again what do you do when this is literally the Only theater on island. I wasn't going to post this experience & review but after this recent one how could I not. I just hope they get their stuff together and just do better. read more

It's not cool that management purposely uses the smallest lettering possible for their concession stand menus! I do appreciate that there are free refills on large popcorn and beverages; that we can also have the option to take free refill in a box or two popcorn bags! The pleather upholstered chairs need to be replaced; and larger or additional trash cans need to be placed more strategically. read more

The theatre is freaking gross. We couldn't sit in our assigned seats because it was covered in sticky liquid. We just sat in other seats. Also the seats are torn apart. Next time if I watch a movie, I need to put on a full biohazard suit and bring some raid because god knows what lives within the crevices of those balding chairs. Sitting on those chairs was a uniquely terrifying experience. I went to go watch the movie "Saw" and felt fully immersed. The seats made me feel like I was sitting in a saw trap device due to how brittle and unpredictable the condition of the furniture was. I enjoyed the unintentional 4-D experience. As for the service, it was great. The door man, Micheal, deserves a raise. I also love the self serve butter for the popcorn. Will be coming back. read more

A few months ago I watched "The Iron Claw" and the dialogue was hard to hear, but the music was audible. I thought it was just how the movie was put together by the Director's creative vision. A friend recently saw "Dune 2" and said it had the same problem with the audio, so please fix the speakers or put on the closed captions at least. read more

This place is run by underpaid teenagers and it shows. Bought a candy and it was six months expired. I went back to get a candy that wasn't expired... I went through the whole shelf and it was 95% expired candies from months ago. The one that I did get that was unexpired was stale! Bathrooms are a disaster. I don't blame the teens at all but where the heck is management to bring some hygiene and standards to this place? Jeez. read more

Holy macks movie ticket prices are still rising! But on the plus side, this theater got some major upgrades! I'm very pleased to note that not only are their reclining chairs with tables on point, but they even disinfect/wipe down EVERY chair and table after EVERY movie! At least that's what I heard and seen happen as soon as the movie ended. I wish I got a picture of the churros I got, I'm obsessed! So yummy! So happy they expanded their menu too. Workers actually seem like they enjoy their job which is also a plus! Check it out! Maui Mall Megaplex is stepping up! read more

I haven't been to the movie theater in so long that somewhere in between the last movie I watched and this past Saturday they managed to make some upgrades! I went to watch Star Wars: The Last Jedi with my husband and we were running a little late. Apparently you can reserve seats in the theater now so you don't have to worry about getting stuck with the front row seats that no one really wants. Just make your reservations early so you get your first picks. We headed to the concession stand to pickup some bites since we didn't have lunch that day. A small drink was nearly $5, plus a water, 2 hot dogs, & cookie dough candy set us back ~$30. Ouch! I understand you have a captive audience & you have to make money, but it's pretty ridiculous if you ask me! But we still pay it, right? So why the 4 stars? Well, we got to theater #12 to find all the seating upgraded to recliner seats! We found our seats easily and being able to put my feet up and be in a comfy laying position was a freaking godsend because I was so damn sick, I wasn't sure I was even going to survive the whole movie. True Story. My head hurt, nose was stuffy, sore throat, heart palpitations... Sorry, I probably spread my germs, but husband LOVES Star Wars and was looking forward to the movie all year. Thanks to the hella comfy new seats though, I made it through the movie and actually was able to enjoy it. Plus I had a happy husband :) Winning! This theater is literally 1000x better since their renovation! I've been spoiled by the large reclining seats most (new) theaters are going to. When my godsons wanted to see a movie on Maui, I dreaded going to the old dingy theater. So needless to say I was pleasantly surprised with the Regal Maui Mall renovation! Prices are a little high for tickets - $36 for 1 adult, 2 children, including a processing fee. But not out of the ordinary for most theaters, and certainly not the most expensive. The concessions are really pricey, however. A soda will run you about $6. We ordered 2 sodas, 2 hot dogs, 1 large popcorn, 1 mini pizza, 2 candies and it was $48. read more

We rarely go to the movie theater, usually watch stuff at home. But went to this theater last Tuesday. It had great ac/picture & sound. All the seats in our theater were very clean & had those motorized lounge chairs & since it was stadium seating not a bad seat in the house it seemed. The snack area wasn't fancy & help didn't seem to excited to be there but we got Nathan hotdogs for $2 & there was a condiment table with packages of ketchup/mustard&relish, said popcorn was half off but all we wanted was a hotdog. Plus lots of close parking at the mall. We had a good experience so know we'll go again soon on a Tuesday. read more
