I came here a few months ago to get my eyebrows done. The woman who helped me didn't seem to speak a word of English until she asked if I'd like my upper lip done too. I tried explaining that I just wanted them cleaned up a bit, not thin. I ended up with extremely pencil thin eyebrows that weren't even. I definitely won't be going back. read more

I've been to this nail salon twice and both times have been dissapointed. The woman who did my nails the first time around did a great job but the salon was unorganized, and the owner was pushy about services and up charges. My second experience the salon was cleaner, however, I've never gotten a worse manicure. I got a dip manicure. Every other nail is a different shape, the color is all bumpy and bubbly, and my nails were filed so low that it hurts to touch my fingers to anything. I asked her to fix them and they are still just as bad and the owner said if I got acrylic tips they'd look better. read more

Not only was this place filthy, the owner made up prices as she went along...and had zero skills in how to do a gel manicure. She cut up my fingers and this is going to court! Went in because my usual place was about to close so they said they could take me. I won't be going back anytime soon. First off, being inside a Walmart, it's noisy, but the space is cramped and overall it just feels sloppy. The job on my toes was not good at all, and 2 days later, my toes still hurt because she was so rough in her 'massage' and I had to stop her. She also hurt me and I thought she cut me when she was doing my cuticles -- I honestly have NEVER had that happen before... that I'd have to make her stop so I could look for blood on my toes. Just not a good experience, and next time, I'll go to my usual place and get what I pay for rather than this. read more

This was my first time going to this nail salon I saw it as convenience being that it's inside walmart I asked for a Fill-in which was supposed to be $17 but I had one broken nail when she was drilling she broke another nail she had to replace so when it came to pay she charged an extra $3 for the nail she broke drilling! When asked why I'm being charged for a nail she broke drilling she said I broke it because it was thin anyway she was way to rough and drilled to the point my nailbeds were thin I had to constantly tell her she was hurting me she proceeded to talk in Spanish to other people very rude and nasty!! New to Long Island, I tried several nail salons and all were expensive and offered a lower quality of work compared to Regal Nails. All of the salons hand filed the acrylic, many didn't use primer before applying the acrylic and one salon had an owner that gave all the women shoulder rubs while they're Nails dried! I had to tell him to stop 3 times in the same visit, really? Finally I tried Regal Nails in Islandia located in Walmart on Vets Hwy. The prices are very reasonable and the team is extremely nice! The owners are very friendly and build a great rapport with their customers. Any one of the licensed nail technicians does fabulous work! The salon is clean and they offer many services. It is not the quietest as the salon is at the entry of Walmart. However I enjoy watching all of the people walk in and out.... that in itself is very entertaining!!!!! If you are looking for great service, great prices and a clean and comfortable salon, try this salon. They are also open 7 days a week. read more

This is the nail salon right next to Stop and Shop in the Walmart shopping center in Islandia. Not sure if it's called Regal Nails or Clover Nalls as I think they have new management now? Well anyways, I live locally in Islandia and drive past this place all the time. So I figured before I went next door into Stop and Shop that I would get a pedicure. The decor is mediocre, nothing fancy. The place appears to be clean. They carry basic nail polishes...very few China Glazes, NO Essie Polishes, and some OPI. But mainly the cheap polishes you can buy at Walmart. They use prepackaged sterile equipment and open it in front of you which I did like. After seeing this sterile package I was sure I wouldn't find anything gross. BUT here is where they messed up: As I got my pedicure done, the two customers sitting next to me (one on each side of me) completed their pedicures. I closely watched how the two different employees cleaned the pedicure tub after they left. They each did the SAME exact thing: they both used a small rag (appeared to be crocheted or knitted?) with the same soap used to wash customers feet and wiped down the tub with it, rinsed the tub, then dried it with a towel. They used NO form of antiseptic cleaner as they should have. You are supposed to clean the tub with a form of antiseptic cleaner and allow it to sit for a certain amount of minutes so that it kills all the germs etc. I then watched an employee take a stack of towels and put it inside the tub. She then soaked the towels in the pedicure tub, rung out the excess water, and placed them into a towel warmer. YUCK! So basically, a stack of towels went into a tub that just had someone's feet inside of it, that was not even disinfected, and then placed in a warmer (let's breed some bacteria in a damp, dark, and warm place) to later be placed on your skin? I will NEVER go back to this place nor will I ever recommend anyone to come here just based on this. I was very happy with the pedicure I received, he did a perfect job and even gave me a fantastic massage. But I am completely grossed out and won't ever come back. Too bad because I would have been a loyal customer if it wasn't for seeing this happen. Some places are too worried about seeing people wait and wanting to serve them right away that they forget about what they should have learned in beauty school. You have to protect the public from contracting diseases and bacteria that these pedicure tubs harbor. If you are serving the public it is your ethical duty to do the right thing. Who cares how long people have to wait. You don't put someone's feet in a tub that hasn't been disinfected. I am a Registered Nurse who works for the DOH and I will be making a formal complaint. What this place did was disgusting. I will be taking my money elsewhere. read more

I needed a permanent french fill in pink only. I did need 1 tip because 1 nail broke. The nail they repaired was horrible. The pink was transparent. My nail looked disgusting. The other nails they filled in looked just as bad.When I complained, they said my nails were in poor shape. They charged me 30.00, and were very nasty. It took them 2 hours, and I had to come home and polish my nails, until I can go to my regular nail salon. DO NOT GO THERE, IT WILL BE A BIG MISTAKE!!!! read more
