We have been using Regal for all of our plumbing needs.....installation of a new toilet, that I helped with the marble inlay. Just this last week, Brandon and his partner did a Kohler Sink Installation with a Sous Kohler Semi Professional faucet. They got it dialed in just right and dropped it in. We are very happy and recommend them. I have read other reviews and do not understand the mismatch, as my dealings with them have been outstanding every time. They were good years ago, but times change. Had two young fellows work on a toilet in the masterbath that wasn't flushing well. They used sulphuric acid to clear the bowl jet. I had a spare bowl which was pristine but was not aware of their "fix." When they were done, and we were standing underneath that bathroom by the front door, water started dripping out of my foyer light. And all he said was, "Well, when you plunge as hard as I did, water's going to come out somewhere." I had to do a complete tearout and re-install of the entire wastepipe system. Never again. After a price was quoted, we decided not to move forward because the cost was absolutely insane. We were then billed almost $300 for an incomplete job. We spoke to several folks several times and it was always, "we'll call you back", and they never did. The last call was the day I had surgery (5/13). I picked up the call but wasn't in the right state to deal with it so I requested they call my husband. They did, and he let them know we'd pay an hour of labor and for the parts but we would not be paying the full $300 because pipes were left disconnected (as pointed out by the new plumbing company we hired), thus the portion of the job we were being billed for was not complete. Someone was to call us back. Again. Today we received a letter in the mail threatening to take us to court. I called and spoke with someone in their office who attempted to make me sound like a liar. "There are no notes of any conversations and my girls always put notes"... "Dave would have never left pipes unhooked he's very thorough..."... "I have no notes that we ever quoted you a price..." well guess what? All three things happened. Each and every call (including this one) made us feel as though we were being accused of attempting to pay nothing, which is not the case. I didn't even get to the point of reviewing the actual bill, because I couldn't get past the "well we did work so you owe something" comments. My husband came flying out of the bedroom & took the phone. What's REALLY funny is, there is no record of the $300 bill from before, we just so happened to be billed for exactly what my husband previously said we'd be comfortable paying. Funny how that works, isn't it? We are not people who don't pay their contractors. We've dumped THOUSANDS into this house for various repairs & remodeling since purchasing it in 2020 and not once have we ever had an issue like this. read more

Fantastic service. Had used Regal for plumbing work a year ago and they bent over backwards to help get my plumbing leak fixed. This past Friday I had to call them since my toilet would not stop running, they said they would be out Monday which is today between 9 am and 11 am, I got a message at 9:01 am they were on their way. The tech, Ben, came out and immediately diagnosed the problem and fixed it in a short amount of time. Nice to have a local company that I can depend on for plumbing issues. read more

I just had Regal York Pa come to my house, I've had them quite a few years n trusted them completely...had a n3 hot water heater installed by them 9-1-18....had small dripping out of that side tube running down side of hot water heater...plumber put on a new round expansion tank, which wasn't on his truck, 3/4 long w/h relief valve, n new 3/4 water pressure relief valve, n service charge, my bill was $892.86...i was never expecting that...does that even sound normal? read more

Office staff pleasant and courteous on the phone. Service techs were courteous and explained what they were doing to resolve the issue. 2 visits but only billed for the first one since it was not resolved then. We had Regal plumbing come out to fix a leak in our bathroom. They were very nice & explained what they were going to do. I called them a year later to come & do an estimate to redo our bathroom back in September but 2 months later still no estimate. All they did was give me the run around. They never called me to let me know what was going on. I always had to call them. They said they talked to 5 different contractors but they didn't like them for some reason. The last time I talked to them in November they had a name that I could call if I wanted to. I was annoyed because that's what they weee supposed to be doing. Keep in mind, I'm making these calls on my break time at work because I can't have my phone on me while I'm working. I finally called the name they gave me. That contractor told me they talked to Regal & they basically said if you guys want the job, it's your's I was so upset & annoyed. I started to cry when the contractor from the other company told me that. I just wish Regal would have been honest with me if they didn't want the job or it was to much for them to do. It's sad that a company treats a potential customer like that. I will NEVER call them again or recommend them. read more

I won't ever use them again . They replaced a float for our sump pump 14 months ago . They told me the warranty was up and it will cost me $153.00 for them just to come check to be sure it is broken .(I was already told by another master plumber that checked it for me , that it was ) This is before any work would be done . Used this company for years but it is NOT THE SAME COMPANY when new owner took over!!!!! Installed the wrong HVAC system in our house that cost $$$$!!, burned up 1 air conditioner unit & almost the 2nd until they totally redid the entire system!!! Then I had to file complaint with Bryant Company who sent another authorized Bryant dealer out and found holes in ductwork caused by poor workmanship that had to be redone, a cheap humidifier that was allowing humidity to enter home during the summer causing mold issues in our house and more!!! Had to pay another plumber to have humidifier removed to solve some of the mold problems. Wish I would have gotten an attorney because problems will not be over!!! Continuing issues causing $$$. Will never recommend this company!!! If it had not been for one supervisor who backed me, I would have gotten an attorney. They seem to want to make $$$ more than they care about customers!!! Horrible, horrible service: We bought a service contract including furnace tuning thru 6/2012. In October 2011 they came out to tune the furnace and charged us again for the tuning that we already paid for. They then kept harassing us to double-pay the bill. On top of that, they said they checked out our natural gas fireplace and charged us for it. Within a year the fireplace was broken. An independent plumber looked at it and said it had worn out - Regal was incapable of telling us it was failing. Every time we call their office we talk to a different incompetent clerk that has no memory of our account or anything else with regard to the issue. They charge some of the highest rates in the area - $80 per hour for travel, not including any time they work on your house. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID read more

Homeowners beware. We had water backing up into our basement bathroom due to a main sewer line clog caused by our six-year-old dropping 2 aluminum drink cans down the clean out. They came out and there was one technician who used an electric snake and wasn't able to clear the clog and said that they needed to get out some thing called a jet truck which is basically just a pressure washer to clear the pipe. The technician told us not to flush anything solid down our toilets until the obstruction was cleared, however they could not schedule another appointment for two days. When they came back out there were two technicians this time, they were different from the first day. They worked for about two hours and were not able to clear the clog. They said they would come back and they came back the next morning started to use the electric snake in the middle clean out pipe and after only 10 minutes of snaking it they said they weren't able to clear the clog and that we were going to need to excavate our backyard and they were going to have to cut out a section of the pipe and replace it. They quoted us $625 for the "work" they had already done and then they quoted us an additional minimum of $1400 for the work that they wanted to do digging up our yard and replacing the pipe. My husband rented an electric snake from grand rental station and was able to clear the obstruction after spending two hours on it. (There was bits of can and a plastic baseball down there from the previous owner) An amateur was able to clear the clog in two hours when five professional technicians were not able to clear it. We feel like we were taken advantage of and that they could have been successful like we were ultimately. We called the office to negotiate the $625 that they wanted to charge us with the description of "labor and materials" they didn't explain what materials they used and they were not here for longer than 4 hours total. The first technician even left our hot and cold water running in our basement and we didn't discover it for over five hours. They agreed to take off $100 but I still feel like this is an unfair amount. read more

Our furnace was making a new sound and we were in need of a tune up. Called Regal and service tech came next day. Devin arrived on time, took care of our furnace and spent time explaining how to change filters, condition of furnace, filter size, etc. I couldn't be happier and will call them again when needed. read more

Had them come by to check out my water pressure issues I was having. They told me that it was due to living up on a hill and I would need a water pressure booster pump. I was quoted $2500 to have this installed. I shopped around and researched the pump the quoted and it retailed for only $600. With only $220-$300 in other various needed parts they wanted to charge me $1700 in labor for an hour or two job. Glad I shopped around and got one installed for under $1000. A/C went out the night before, called Regal in the am and they had a tech (Devin M) there in 3 hours. He changed out a part, told me that it's under warranty and they would complete the paperwork. All said and done, under $100. Regal installed my system 4 years ago and they service it annually too. I have never had a problem with prompt, courteous service! My heat wasn't working. Within a week, regal was able to identify the problem, get all the new parts needed and install the product. Christian went out of his way to ensure that I understood all that he was doing, labeling and identifying things for future technicians. Water in our house was intermediately stopping. Called Regal on Saturday. A young tech came to my home, checked and changed a valve. It did not fix the problem at all. The charge for this trip was $327. He said it was well pump problem. Regal would send some one on Monday. We had been waiting for whole day on Monday, no one showed up. Regal did bother to call us. Tech came on Tuesday and pulled the well pump out and found out, it was not the pump problem. It was well pipe leaking from well cap to house. The diagnose this problem was $540. Nothing was fixed yet. The estimate for fixing the pipe was $1100. The tech in Regal was inexperience. They were on the phone with their company several times and charge us for the time they were in my house. The expanse for 2nd trip was $540. Total was $867 with $43.35 senior discount, the bill came up $823.65 for only diagnosed the problem. Regal is a large company. I am sure, not every one is good at what they are doing. It is understandable that the problem solving needs time and experience. My point here is that Regal should not let costumer pay for their training. If you want to use their service, please think twice about the cost. I will not use their service again. read more

Awful service! Bought a new water faucet for my home and called regal to install it. Took them 1hr 30mins for labor work but they charged 2 hrs 30 mins. why? Because they included driving as labor work which is ridiculous! They also installed extra parts and charged me for that without notifying me first. I had to find out once I received my bill! Plus the worker spent the remainder of the time cleaning the faucet when I told him it was unnecessary just to add more time in the labor fee. I have been a loyal 10 yr customer of regal and am really displeased with their service. Will no longer be their customer and choose service with a different company. read more

Kim was so helpful I was blown away by her knowledge of HVAC and the people who came out I found were almost the same people from 25 years ago who installed our system so nicely. Regal answered all my tech questions and fixed the AC so it works fine now still after 25 years. Will use Regal for any new HVAC systems I need in future. read more

My experience was mostly good. This company made it easy to schedule. The plumber showed up on time.The work was done well. There was a bit of a hiccup when I tried to get a breakdown of parts, but they did get that info to me eventually. Very bad experience regarding a furnace repair. A pilot light assembly replacement cost nearly $600. Checked online for US made original equipment equivalent parts and found they marked them up over 150%. Time charged was also excessive. The worst part was calling to inquire about the bill. Called Regal to replace a leaking seal on one of our toilet and put in 2 new stoppers for our bathroom sinks. Since we just had a terrific snow storm we told them to take care of those customers without heat first as we have other bathrooms. They were appreciative of that and on Wednesday Kevin Beckwith showed up at the appointed time. I believe he has been out before to install a new kitchen faucet. He worked quickly and efficiently and even found a small leak in a water supply line and a Worn flapper which he fixed. In addition, we appreciate that he checked out the flush on the toilet(s) in the house to see if they were running efficiently. Very frustrating experience. Contracted Regal to assist the gas company in converting from propane to natural gas. Work was done, slow but fine. Customer service and professionalism is lacking. Quotes are unclear and not standard in formatting or readability, as are invoices. Paid my bill over the phone and requested an emailed receipt (as the gas company reimburses this expense). The transaction was processed the same day and cleared from pending to processed in my bank account. Had to follow up repeatedly (being put on hold at least twice per call) and 3 days later their office still did not have a receipt ready. Unorganized to say the least. Was hoping to have additional work done in my bathroom but would no longer even consider using Regal. read more

First purchased hot water heater from Regal in 2014. Then in 2017 hot water heater purchased and installed by Regal leaked all over my basement ruined my carpet. Had paperwork that showed warranty coverage. So I called into Regal, it took them 14 hours to return my phone call. They came out and came to the conclusion that I needed a replacement hot water heater. They never discussed any prices with me so I assumed the warranty covered it completely. Come to find out I was wrong. They stuck the bill in my ex-boyfriends name and now 7 months later I owe them almost $800 dollars. I will pay what I owe because it is the right thing to do, but Regal should educate there techs to let people know when there is a charge because it's the right thing to do. The tech had no interest in keeping me updated on charges. I guess they figure it isn't their problem because they don't get held accountable. The local water company advised us that we had a leak in the water pipe from the street to our home. We contacted the owner of Regal. He came out the same day, gave us an estimate, and told us that he would have his team come out after the ground dried out so that the back hoe did not tear up our lawn (which we very much appreciated). A couple days later his team came out, replaced the damaged pipe, replaced the dirt, leveled the area, seeded the area, and covered the area with straw. The estimate was reasonable and fair. We have used Regal in the past and will use them in the future. read more

Was experiencing an intermittent problem over the last few years with what looked like a bathroom drain leak. Long story short, after two different plumbing contractors, the problem persisted. The Regal plumber came in and within 15 minutes identified the problem (a concealed unconnected vent pipe) and within 30 minutes capped the pipe and solved the problem. I was prepared the worse but got the best! Regal is highly recommended for skill level and problem solving abilities, plus courteous and prompt professional service. read more

Amazing service! I called early afternoon after coming home on a hot day with no Air Conditioning. They were amazingly able to send someone out that same day. The repair took 20 mins and AC was good as new. The Service Tech was very knowledgeable and a great communicator. He explained that since I have an older unit it needs to have regular maintenance. He sat down with me and fully explained my options and what the issue was. It made me feel really comfortable with using Regal for all of my needs going forward. i have used this company numerous times, and always had a fair experience, but their billing leaves alot to be desired. Had an open invoice for 190.00 and received letter from company threatening court action, sale of personal property etc from President.I didn't realize they were in such financial hardship that this was gonna break the company.
