Regal Cinemas in Wilder is more or less what you'd expect--though they have updated their theater in the last few years. All auditoriums now offer stadium seating. Excellent for enjoying a movie . . . also excellent for falling asleep, so it's up to you to recline at your own risk. I give this Regal my usual four-star rating for a multiplex. I miss the days when theater staff would walk through a screening once or twice, just to make sure all is well and no audience members are being noticeably obnoxious. I also don't like the extreme number of trailers and advertisements before the movie--this new bit where they put ads in between the trailers, or after them, is especially unpleasant. BUT--if you are in the Covington area and don't feel like dealing with Newport traffic or parking, and you're in need of a multiplex theater, you can do worse than Regal Wilder. read more

I usually don't go to this theater, but our plans took us to this location when the other competitor theater was sold out. I'm we got the chance to see our movie here - it was a very good experience. Nice people working at the counter and comfortable seating made this a great outing for our groups and I'll consider this theater, which has easy parking and is very accessible, in the future. I was stunned by the size of the drinks. The large options are essentially an extra large. The only downside is the drinks aren't self-serve. The location itself is a little further back off the road and is pretty dark inside. Seating is updated and is a nicer quality leather. Sound quality was decent. read more

This is one of the worst and depressing movie theaters i have ever been too. It reminded me of a theater you see in a horor movie, like a ghost town move theater . I went on a weekday night to see a special screening movie. There is no box office just a sign when you walk in that says "buy tkts at kiosk or at concession stand". There is also no screen or signs by each theater telling you what's playing, just numbers. There was also one person at the concession stand. I purchased my ticket online and it said theater number 6. I went into that theater and waited for the 7pm movie to start. After all the previews ( which were approx 30mins) the move started but it wasnt the one I paid for. I checked my ticket and went outside the theater to make sure the numbers were correct and it was. I walked to the concession stand and asked where my movie was playing..they were like oh that number 5 . I told them that's not what it said on the ticket and they were like"sorry". When I went into the correct theater of course the movie was already 35mins in. I missed the whole beginning. If there was a theater changed you think they could of at least posted a sifn.I haven't been to this theater in years for it's not close to where I live but it was the only one showing the movie. I will not be coming back. If I could give it no stars I would of. read more

Do not recommend spending an insane amount of money to go to this theater that is not well staffed and has outrageous prices just to keep it running! The manager interrogated us when we entered thinking we were sneaking in even though there was no staff to scan tickets and yelled at us for bringing an outside drink in! The Regal Cinemas Wilder 14 is a decent theater. I had been one time before and wasn't impressed, but since then they have renovated and updated to the awesome reclining seats. The theater definitely has an old school feeling to it..the lobby and hallways feel like a theater out of the late 90s or early 2000s. Inside the theaters, as I stated before, they've been updated to the state of the art reclining seats. They're really nice. I like how it's set up to where once you sit down you can pretty much only see other people in your row..you don't have to worry about someone in rows in front of you being on their cell phones or doing other annoying things. I did take note of two things: these seats recline back farther than any other reclining seats that we've seen..which is pretty cool..unless you're really tired, they're comfy enough to fall asleep in for sure. Also took note that the seats were pretty close together, which is fine for sitting next to people you know, awkward for sitting next to strangers. Not that big a deal though. The ticket prices seemed a bit higher than we usually pay at other theaters. Most have an early-bird special price for the first showing of the day..but this place doesn't seem to do that. Overall I liked this theater. It combines the nostalgia of older theaters with the new theater seating that has improved the movie going experience over the years. read more

W saw Star Wars here last night ad absolutely loved the place. The theatres are smaller than most, which give things a more intimate feel. But it's the seers that really take this place to the next level. Big leather recliners! They're super comfy and recline all the way back at the touch of a button! And the arm rests are extra wide and padded. That's right, it's actually possible to share an armrest at this place!! There's plenty of parking and the staff is friendly. Even better? This place feels clean! I hope we'll have the opportunity to see another movie here on a date night in the near future. read more

went to see a movie here and I was very disappointed..... the sound was not working like it should. The few of us could not here the voice sound, it was very low. The background sound was very high. Asked the manager about this and he said the Amp was not working and it was broken the night before.....Ok ......Why did you show this movie then? He had no answer..... Then I used the restroom and it was not clean. Urine the floor, urinals' are stained. Me my grandma and my grandfather went to here to watch "Top Gun Maverick". Me and my grandma saw a weird white light. First it looked like it send down the wall, then the flying white thing it looked at us both. Thought my grandfather was more payed attention to the move, the second time we saw it my grandma said " let's go to the bathroom" and she told the employee and she thought my grandma was crazy. This theatre is located right off the highway and surrounded by a few food options (Dairy queen, Gold Star, Mellow Mushroom). Don't go to the movies unless you've eaten first, you will spend a fortune on anything at the concession stand. Get the loyalty card to accumulate points. You will occasionally be rewarded a small popcorn, small drink or if you save them up a free ticket. This location has a kiosk to buy tickets which I highly suggest if there is a line. You will get your ticket first and that's very important bc you will be turned away from sold out seats. Here's the deal... this theatre fills up super fast. My family plans which day & time to see a movie and buy our tickets a couple days in advance. They have assigned seating. You are guaranteed a good seat. Also, get their app. You can see which seats are available before you go buy tickets. You only want seats above the handicap isle. Also, bring a blanket. This place is freezing! You will be miserable if you wear shorts and a T-shirt and don't have a blanket. The seats are faux leather recliners and very comfortable. Dare I say too comfortable. I'm not one to nap but snuggled up in a cold recliner with a blanket in the dark and I've paid $10 to nap on several occasions. My only real complaint is that the bathrooms are always gross and the concession stand isn't even an option. Nice theatre otherwise. read more

I have been going to this cinema since i was young and i have had a mix of experiences but today was the absolute worst. The theater was so extremely hot that everyone walking out at the end of the show was pouring sweat! My husband and i asked 3 times throughout the movie to please turn the air up. I was told on the 3rd attempt that the best they could do was open the theater door, which did nothing. We all felt sick leaving the theater. As far as movie theaters go, this one is pretty nice but could certainly make some improvement in user experience (i.e. ticket purchasing) that would make for a more pleasant process. As others have mentioned, the owners need to, in business parlance, "eat their own dogfood" and experience what a customer goes through to buy a ticket and this might lead to needed improvements. My wife and I have seen at least ten movies here and have found the workers surprisingly friendly and knowledgeable. The seating arrangement is fine, although there are certain seats that one cannot purchase via the kiosk and so one must go stand in the somewhat long line. Seems counter-productive. The seats are lovely. They are faux leather recliners operated by a switch and are very comfortable. The groupings allow for a couple to set their bucket o popcorn on the arm rest and place any beverages in the opposing holders. Screen quality and sound quality are modern and high quality. No complaints at all for that stuff. Bathrooms have been clean and there is a water fountain nearby too. Parking is ample but watch out for any unattended kids that race through the lot. Lastly, their rewards program is alright. We have had the occasional free small popcorn (about a $6 value) and had the option to purchase upgrades at a slight additional cost. Tuesday is half price popcorn day. read more

I recently moved to the area and had been a frequent movie goer pre-Covid. I even had a regal membership in my previous city and saw multiple movies in a month. I was excited to find the regal theater in Wilder, until I saw Spider-Man NWH. The theater is small and that's not an issue, that is actually kind of nice. However everything was severely outdated. And not the cleanest. I've sat in a lot of gross and sticky theaters so I was still prepared for a good movie watching experience as Regal had never failed before. First, the lights stayed on until about 5 minutes into the movie. Once it started the picture was projected so dark, the movie was barely visible dark scenes. This was a dark movie overall so, that left a lot to the imagination. I could have pictured it myself by listening but... the sound was barely there. I spent most of the movie hearing more of the dating couple next to me whisper to each other (yes, I heard everything you said), the full second row of kids whose parents allowed them to talk loudly and yell, every popcorn bite, every wrapper, every conversation. I've never had experienced such poor sound and lighting. Overall this experience was heartbreaking as I hoped I could return repeatedly but instead, I will have to drive much further and hope AMC or Cinemark can play movies that can be seen and heard. read more

However the ATM was down so I had to pay for 2 people in my party because they didn't have cash and only had a debit card. I really enjoyed this movie theater! It's pricey like other movie theaters but this one is pretty much worth it. We got a large popcorn and large drink for $17. They sell powder flavorings you can put in your popcorn for like $1.50 which Is nice but I've been to other movie theaters that offer it for free. The seats are amazing. You can recline! You push the button to your side and it's like you're laying out on your living room. You don't see the people in front of you and there's so much room! read more

Went to see Bohemian Rhapsody last night. Hadn't been there in probably 15 years and the only improvement were the reclining seats. But I believe there is a real problem with staffing. The lines for concession were very slow and there were no napkins available to grab. The place was generally filthy! Garbage was strewn all over the aisles leading to theater and was coming out of every garbage can on the premises! We ordered tickets online (thank goodness) and the only ones left were right up front. The sound quality was lacking and during the music parts where there was heavy bass, the right-side speakers would rattle and that's disappointing for a movie that's primarily music based. We enjoyed the show, but probably won't be seeing any more at Regal. read more

This was my first experience at a Regal theater as I was raised in an AMC household my whole life. Against the warnings of my fellow family members, I decided to give this Regal establishment a try. Luckily, one of my schoolmates worked there and introduced me to the wonderful cinema franchise that is Regal. Based on this particular locale, the theater was clean, well organized, and staff was welcoming and attentive to my movie needs for the day. My plug, who also happened to be one of the managers, was able to give her fair, honest opinion on all the movies showing and her own personal recommendations. Thanks to her and the rest of the Regal crew, I no longer have to restrict myself to the 75 year familial tradition to going to AMC theaters. read more

We purchased Regal Unlimited Thanksgiving weekend so are seeing more movies than we have in YEARS. Reclining seats are great but customer service experience is PAINFUL at best. Tickets/Concessions are always slow. Latest experience was Thursday 1/16 for 5 PM showing. We were the ONLY people in the lobby and there were 4 employees. It took 10 minutes to buy 2 tickets and a small popcorn .... made us miss the beginning of the film. Won't stop us from going since we signed up for a year of Unlimited but they seriously need to work on employees having a sense of urgency. read more

Regal's reclining seats and stadium seating make this my go-to cinema. Seeing a movie in a theatre with regular seats now seems sad. I'd say my review is actually 4.5 stars. This is because, despite having assigned seating, both of my recent trips here, someone was sitting in my seat.
