Regent restoration is a full-service damage Restoration company in Lewisville but they service all of Dallas-Fort Worth area. They came out to a water damage emergency on my ceiling that had ballooned into a real problem that I thought the bathtub might come Crashing Down. But with their fans and blowers and machines and hoses they were able to get out all the water and restore the ceiling to back to the way it was before the burst pipe. The professionalism by Regent and the team were incredible. Every step of the way every question every concern they had answers to and solutions. Do not higher this company. They we called in by a contractor who flooded my house. All they did was bring in fans and dehumidifiers. They did not pull any base boards. But showed up every other day to take moisturizer readings. After reading the documents I saw they were trying to charge me for 26 fans. There were only 5 fans. They quoted me over 9K for just the tear out stating all the walls and floors needed to be pulled out. I became suspicious and asked them to measure the moisturizer on an area that I know didn't flood. There meter still pegged out high. I fired them on the spot. They are still trying to collect over $3000 after I fired them. read more

WARNING: Do not get any services done with this company. Read the negative reviews to get real experiences with this company as we learned that many of the positive ones are FAKE. We are coming off an almost 5 month nightmare after a leak in our kitchen. Things started out well with mitigation, but we had the worst experience during our rebuild. This company doesn't have their own contractors and the subcontractor company they use is terrible. Our kitchen rebuild was a job that only took a few days but was dragged out for several months (we were displaced with an infant in a hotel during this time) because they just weren't showing up to do any work. Sometimes they'd come to the house and be in and out all day, but no work would be done. They'd leave open drinks and food trash as if they were just hanging out. After the 2nd month of little to no work being done, we escalated to the manager Anthony who is so far removed from the projects that he never knew what was going on. He made excuse after excuse for the contractors and just handled the whole experience horribly considering he's the manager. They opted to have someone build our cabinets instead of ordering them, likely to keep more of a profit, which had to be redone because the workmanship was not up to par. They lied about the real reason and initially told me it was because of "measurements." When the installation finally started, it was done so sloppily that it took weeks of coming back and fixing errors before the job could be complete. Paint on the ceiling and floors, missing hardware- the backsplash was installed incorrectly and couldn't be fixed without re doing the whole thing. They forgot to install the vent above the stove and had to come back and cut into the cabinets to fix it after we'd moved back in. The plumbing was not reinstalled correctly and my kitchen flooded AGAIN- thankfully we were home or else we would have been back to square one. Even weeks later, I've had 4 cabinet handles falls off so far. When asked to provide contractors licenses for JAS Remodeling and Restoration, none could be provided which is very problematic. Sergio, the project manager, was professional and tried his best to follow up with the contractor team given all the delays- he's the reason for the 1 star. We have had to come out of pocket to fix their mistakes, after they made almost $30K from this project that should have cost a quarter of that. The manager refused to compensate us for the terrible service and the money we will still have to dish out, stopped responding and told the billing person to give us barely a 2% credit which doesn't REMOTELY cover the out of pocket costs or inconvenience. We had a leak in a rental property. Regent was called by a plumber we had called. We confirmed with the Regent reps that we would not be charged for any work done if insurance denied the claim, and we asked them not to start any work just in case, since we didn't want to pay out of pocket. About 3 weeks later, we find out insurance isn't covering the claim (a whole other story). We call regent and tell them we don't need them anymore and will have to figure out something else. Then, we receive a $3,000 bill from Regent, even after zero work was done. After talking with them and negotiating in good faith, we got them down to $2,500. Please keep in mind - they did zero work for us. Zero. We kept negotiating and trying to work with them for over a year until we were forced to pay it after they threatened to send it to collections. So we are out $2,500 for absolutely nothing. Avoid at all costs. read more

We first had to encounter regent restoration over a year ago and had not one single good encounter throughout the entire water mitigation process. Every person regent sent out to our house was unprofessional and would just enter our house and wait to be told where to go, from a manager that invited a "buddy that he hadn't seen in 15 years" to our house to smoke a cigarette with, to over charging and trying to charge for services that were not preformed. Now unfortunately we were forced to deal with this company again due to the plumbing not being done correctly the first time, and the experience has been the same. We are currently waiting for our floors to be installed and have been for 3 weeks now, initially the manager told me himself that floors would take 5 business days to arrive and then a simple install after that. The floors ended up taking two weeks to arrive, When I spoke with the manager on Friday to ask why we could not get our floors installed I was told that there just wasn't anyone sitting around to be able to install them today and they still had to go pick up the floors and that on Monday the floors would be installed. Here we are on Monday and the manager just told my husband that they never heard from me to confirm a date of install and now who knows when we can get floors installed because regent is refusing to return our calls. Don't use this company. There are so many better ones out there. This company was a nightmare to work with. They set up fans and dehumidifiers following some water damage we had. They taped paper to our floors to protect it from foot traffic and they used the wrong type of tape and ruined a section of flooring. During that period they had no-shows, reschedules and were often late. After the floors were reported damaged they said someone would come out to look at the floors. The guy was there to try to stain the damaged section. 1. He was late. 2. He never said "hey you should probably take your toddler out of the house because I'm about to spray some really strong products" I had to keep jumping over his work to get things so I could get my son out of the house. Had I known he was there to do work and not just examine the floors I would've been prepared. The stain failed so they had to sand and re-stain all of the wood flooring so we had to be out of the house for 5 days. I was told I'd be contacted by someone to discuss next steps, I wasn't. I told I would be contacted to discuss housing, I wasn't. They instead booked a home on their own which was a major downgrade from our standard of living to say the least, a hotel would've been better. They did book the home that we requested, but not after having to explain why we needed something different; "what's wrong with the one we booked?". I was never told how to prepare my house for the stain so we did what felt obvious. I came home to open the house for the "pack out" which I was given an hours notice. They were there to remove things from the floor. Their team that removes the furniture was over an hour away. She said we usually have them come later because we have to prepare the floors. I could hear the phone call, the movers were waiting on another man to show up so they could leave, they weren't on their way. We had already removed everything from the floor aside from our larger furniture so there was nothing for them to do. If they would've communicated with me that they were doing the pack out in two stages I would've told them that. I had to come back to my house later to open it again for the furniture move. They also said you might have to take everything off your counters, there were some small kitchen appliances and the contents of our bar. I asked if they were going to pack that then and she said no we don't touch food/liquids I'll leave you some boxes. Again, a waste of a work day, I could've done that already. The next day I received a call saying "the floor guys are there are you home"?? No! I'm obviously not, I'm in the home you booked for us. I finally pushed for eta's because they offered nothing. When they moved furniture back in they dropped a piece of furniture and my husband pointed out the mark it made. They told him it was a character mark, we let it go because we wanted to be done with them. Sitting in the dining room on a chair they damaged (that we were also going to consider a loss so we could be done with the ordeal) several days later we noticed long streaks where they obviously continued to struggle placing the furniture. We informed them and they said after that many days, it was us. That we should've pointed it out sooner. Obviously I would have if I had seen it! We don't even allow shoes inside, it was most certainly not us. Absolutely ridiculous. I will never recommend this company. read more

In early September our hot water tank broke and was leaking water into our home. One of the best decisions we made was to call Regent Restoration. We were amazed on how quickly they responded. Almost immediately we had their personnel out to resolve our problem. Once they appeared on site, we felt confident that they will take care of the water problem. It was evident that Regent Restoration really cares about their customers. They had a real sense of urgency and made sure that they kept us informed throughout the process. This company is getting a 1 star because I can't give a negative one. The crew was courteous, I'll give them that. The reason I'm giving them a 1 star is due to management. I've been working with them for over two months and my garage is still not done. At every level of this project, I had been told by the laborers that this should be easy and quick. "It shouldn't take long." "This is straight forward." The first part took almost a month to get done. I don't know why they took so long for the drywall to dry if they were going to remove it anyway. Then, they took another long time for it to dry some more. Only to close my account and charge me over $4000 after I already paid $2500. Why am I being charged over $4000 when nothing else has been done? My garage is still not fixed. I haven't been able to use my washer and dryer because it was moved for mitigation and reconstruction, which again hasn't been done. I called and the nice lady that answered the phone couldn't give me an answer. She said she would reach out to the coordinator and I have not heard from anyone. Hopefully, I can get a response now. Oh! The only thing that I got was that my account was closed because the job was too small. What's "too small"? I don't know. I didn't get an estimate. If you take on a job, complete it to the end. Don't leave the home owner wondering when or even if the job will ever get completed. read more

Wish I'd read these reviews before working with Regent. I was out of my house for 6 months waiting for them to do more damage to my home after a pipe busted and caused a very small flood. Regent attempted to charge for work that was never done (read your invoices very carefully!), they damaged walls and doors, they didn't order any bullnose tile to frame the shower in the bathroom so we have raw edges exposed throughout the room. My floors are cracking and buckling where they didn't replace enough of the hardwoods. My once beautiful home now looks like a cheap flip. I honestly could have done a lot of this work better myself. At least I would have put effort in to making it look good. After letting them know that the repairs did not meet expectations, Regent offered us a $300 discount on our over $22K invoice to live with the tile work as is. We will now be paying out of pocket to replace the tile work and repair damage that Regent did to our home. read more

What can I say. Working with Regent Restoration was like working with a good friend. Everyone I worked with: the initial customer rep, the guys who performed the water abatement, the contractor that they used (called "Remodeling Cornejo"), the person who supervised the contractor, the team of ladies who packed my household items in the affected room, the movers who moved the heavier items and the packed boxes into the pod that they parked in my driveway, the guy who helped the insurance company payments, and the lady who sent us the invoices - all made us feel as though they were working to give us the best service and were on our side. They do more than just water abatement, they also repair the damage, thus restoring your home They cleared the rooms, replaced the damaged flooring, rebuilt the kitchen island cabinetry, which had bloated wood due to the water, and even worked with us on upgrading some of the items to help with durability and prevent another such leak. Everyone I spoke with looked me in the eye, and seemed to really be giving me straight talk. The entire project timeline pretty much went just as they had laid out, and we are very happy with the work. We never felt pressured or neglected. And to show how classy the company could be, I will tell you a story. At the conclusion of the work, I unpacked the boxes and went through each one carefully looking for an electronic item that I needed. After a week of intense looking I began thinking maybe someone took it. Sadly, where I have lived, I have seen a lot of theft. One troubled soul can ruin things by stealing. I called the office to ask about the packing list that they made and the photos that they took to see if the items were on the list. While I waited, I tore apart the house and my shed to make sure I did all that I could. I found the item two days later and immediately called. I apologized and they handled my concerns with class. This is typical of how things went. I felt very comfortable with the folks they brought in my home, their working schedule and the final product was outstanding. Communication is very important, and despite our busy lives, they were able to communicate their daily plans with us pretty well. Water damage. The contractor did not install the flooring under the dishwasher. Which was paid for. Also the carpet man installing the carpet did a terrible job. Grade of carpet was not the same grade as before. I don't recommend either one to anyone else. I'm disappointed. I should have done a better inspection of things before signing off. To top it off I got charged for extra storage time without being notified. I found this out after everything was completed. RIP off . Julio was a great guy to work with I give props to him. Worst experience ever with dealing with restoration work. Almost 6000.00 and restoration. Just a poor dry out and distruction of non impacted flooring ensuring that I have to replace the entire 1st floor and not just the areas where the water was. They brought a ridiculously sized storage container at least 3 times larger than what was needed and refused to open it so we could unload it until I had paid in full for the removal. Everything could have fit in the garage for free but they did not even offer this to my tenants as an option. Now, after paying IN FULL to get the container emptied and removed a month ago, I have received another invoice for just under 3000.00 for the storage... again. Beware of Regent Restoration!! Super professional company on the front end when they are wanting to come into your home and get your business. I had what I thought was a severe water leak in my home they gained my trust and got my business all $20,000 of it. Was promised that they were a one stop company, did it all start to finish with no mandatory contracts. Once mitigation and abatement was complete they charged my insurance and were paid $20,000 this did not include the rebuild. During the mitigation process crew left my garage door open twice during the night while my family and I were in a hotel. After abatement there was paint removed from the walls and ceiling's and that is when the wonderful communication and professionalisms stopped from Regent Restoration. When it came to have a like kind and quality estimate done to submit to insurance we were told by Jeff first and later by rebuild manager Nicole that it is company policy for costumers to sign a sales contract awarding regent restoration the work before an estimate would even be done. After refusal to Jeff to sign contract and Nicole hanging up on me, hear I am two months later holding the bag....destroyed home and an insurance adjuster waiting for an estimate. I would NOT RECOMMEND Regent Restoration for anything. Was referred to regent by a plumber on Tuesday. Regent was quick to show up about 1.5 hours later & got to work setting up fans & ripped out minimal drywall & insulation to ensure some airflow occurred & stated they would probably have to rip out the cabinets in a few days, but "don't worry, insurance will cover it." However, he neglected to drill holes in the toekicks of the cabinets stating he would be back in the AM to do that. It was maybe 8:30 pm at this point. Not sure why he couldn't take the 5 min to drill some holes, but he didn't. They didn't show up until Friday, 2.5 days later. The moment the tech walked in, he said he was there to rip out cabinets, but "Don't worry, insurance will cover it." He hadn't even taken any moisture readings to find out if everything had dried. I wouldn't allow him to rip them out as that seemed excessive since there was only 1 small portion of a toekick still damp. He finally did drill holes that the first guy said he would do. The next day, Saturday, someone showed up, unannounced, to take additional readings. The same toekick was still moist, but he said they had done all they could to dry it out so he started to pack up his fans. He too said they would probably have to rip out the cabinets bc this 1 toe kick still was reading moist, but to not worry because insurance would cover it. He had me sign a "statement of satisfaction." Also said it was time to sign up for the restoration work. I had already decided to not move forward with them for the restoration, but said they could give an estimate, assuming they already had all the photos & dox needed that they wouldn't even have to send someone else out. They had been in my house 3x by this point already and had plenty of documentation of the space & scope of work. The tech said I just had to sign a form to get an estimate, but that I was not committing to the work. He assured me there was no commitment involved and that I should sign. I took it upon myself to actually read the document, and of course it read "Reconstruction Authorization" in big leaders at the top & then proceeded to state that by signing I was authorizing Regent to perform repairs & that I would be on the hook to pay them in so many days if my insurance did not, and there would be penalty fees if I did not pay in a timely manner. Further on in the contract, it even stated that the document itself was a "work order." When I questioned the tech on his blatant mis-representation of the document, he said it was confusing & that I should talk to his supervisor to better explain. I was fully interested to see how they wormed their way out of this one, so I agreed to speak to them. His supervisor called me directly shortly after & ended up stating they had so much business that they don't give estimates without a commitment to do the work involved. I just went through a kitchen remodel and there were plenty of people willing to give me estimates, so I let her know this, & that if she wasn't willing to give me an estimate without a commitment, then I couldn't give them my business. She then treated me like it was my loss. This was still all on Saturday. On Monday, someone from the office called me to see how the service was & make sure I was happy. I informed her of everything: my dissatisfaction & how I felt like I was being taken advantage of & disregarded as the actual customer. Their continued statements of "don't worry, insurance will cover it," clearly communicates their motives, intentions, & what they're after - to maximize the insurance claim without consideration of me, the homeowner. She sounded alarmed & said she would talk to the manager right away as that is not how she wants the company to be represented. That was Monday & it is now Wednesday & I have not heard any follow up. I also sent an email to an address they provided to rescind my statement of satisfaction, but it was kicked back as undeliverable..... We had a pipe burst in our home over the last freeze. We called Regent out to remove the water and run the fans to dry the affected rooms. It was very difficult to get Regent employees to the house after initial setup. They kept telling us a technician would be out between certain hours. At times the technician never showed up and no one ever called. Now, we have been waiting three days to have a technician arrive to finish the job and remove the fans. Fans have been on for five days. They kept pushing back the ETA into the evening hours which was unacceptable. We are not confident with the job they did to dry the house, and most disappointing is their lack of organization and communication with the customer. Avoid this company at all cost. read more

If I could give less than 1 star I would. Do not use this company. They came in for water restoration of a shower and then did our remodel. Needless to say that after tiles warped and grout was cracking and things did not line up anymore we decided to have the shower redone on our own. When the new company began the demo for the remodel the problems were obvious. Regent had not troweled the wall they had spotted troweled the tiles on, they had drilled thru the shower pan which was rotting out the bench they build. We came home one day to find that our water heater had burst everywhere in our garage, so we called Regent. We were especially worried because we had just installed new wood flooring in an adjacent room, and we didn't want it to get damaged. The staff arrived quickly and they immediately began working to remove the water. Juan was very friendly and always answered any questions we had. They even helped with the insurance process and took photos of the damages to send to the insurance company. Can't recommend this company enough. read more

I had Regent come in by the advice of a plumber. They started my case with the insurance company. They were not a company that worked directly with the insurance company and insured that everything that was billed was valid and billable. for , 2 machines overnight, and a total of 2.5 to 3 hours worth of work for people in my house, I was billed on 02/04/2021 for Water Mitigation $1,015.34 Water Mitigation 1 X $1,015.34 Balance due $1,015.34 I decided to go with the preferred company, ServPro, who mitigated the damage and had 6 machines in my house for 5 days and then 10 blowers in my house for 5 days, carried out hundreds of pounds of affected sheet rock and carpet and charged me $ 6020.89 dollars for 10 days worth of heavy clean up. I have to admit that Earl and his team was awesome through the entire process. Unfortunately, my guest overflowed the bathroom sink while in shower and water was everywhere including my neighbors condo below.... they came out within the hour and walked me through the entire process and were very patient and kind. Now, having said that the back office is horrible and the billing team is horrible. However, the company's billing office is the worse. I am still going back and forth with them, they quoted me one thing and proceeded to increase the price when they thought the insurance would pay. I payed cash for my neighbors unit and now they are trying to charge me $1950 for a $800 job they quoted. Then they proceeded to deduct my account anyway. So, unethical and illegal practices. It's sad that they don't value their customers anymore than they do. Remarkably expensive. Quoted $1600, billed $2300. My son had a small amount of water damage requiring one (medium-sized) humidifier for 5 days, four fans for 4 days*, tearing up of 1'x3' corner piece of underpad, and removal of about 20' baseboard. Last year at my house we had a large amount of water damage requiring two (large) humidifiers and 11 fans for 4 days, removal of underpad from two bedrooms with heavy furniture that had to be moved, drilling holes under the kitchen cabinets to allow air flow, and removal of about 100' baseboard. They arrived at 10 pm, two vans, and left around midnight. ServPro's bill was $2600, only $300 more for a whole lot more. *They charge for the day, even if the equipment is installed at 6 pm. These people are scammers. When they moved their equipment in, I said I wasn't paying for anything that my insurance didn't cover, and they said fine, I wouldn't have to pay a dime. Then they sent me a bill for $3000, so they have committed fraud there. When they finished the job I signed something which only said that they had done a good job, nothing else, then they forged that signature over to something saying I agreed to pay, which I never did. False advertising/left me in limbo for 6+ weeks, then reneged Early August 2021: discovered A/C was leaking from the attic into an upstairs bedroom. We had the A/C unit replaced, then started calling mitigation experts to come out and assess damage. August 13, 2021: After having 3 other mitigation companies come out to see the damage to my home, Mitigation Lead Technician Antony Ramirez sold me on going with Regent Restoration. They would do everything: remove anything damaged (drywall/carpet padding) and use industrial fans and humidifiers to mitigate any lingering moisture from the leak. Regent would then set me up with one of their general contractors to put my house back together. Mitigation was concluded a few days later and an appointment was set for September 8 for a Project Estimator to come out to look at the job. Understandably, the big freeze back in February was the cause of the extended wait. September 8, 2021: Project Estimator Mike Archuleta was in and out of my house in about an hour, and sent me (and my insurance) a detailed bid later that afternoon. Mike was patient in answering all of my questions and told me that once my insurance greenlit the job, work would begin in another few weeks and would take around 3 days. My insurance did indeed greenlight the job within 24 hours, so the ball was back in Mike's court to get me on their schedule. September 21, 2021: Mike Archuleta sends an email withdrawing Regent's bid due to the job not exceeding $10,000. I understand that Regent is in the business of making money, but find it unacceptable to have been left in limbo for 6+ weeks once mitigation was complete only to learn of a new, seemingly arbitrary "minimum job cost" that was never mentioned in any of my earlier conversations with anyone from Regent. I would have gone with another mitigation company had I known Regent would treat me this way. Our laundry room looks worse than before the water heater burst. They dried out the water damage and we have not heard from them since. After one month, we are still waiting for reconstruction. They have collected from our insurance company and claimed the work is complete. But, they have not even started the job. I am very disappointed. It bugs me that I have to give these guys ANY stars. But I do want to warn others: Do yourself a favor and stay far away from these guys. They did a good job during the Emergency Water Remediation portion BUT they also had me unknowingly commit tothave them completion of the Restoration and Reconstruction portion of the work. The guys were all very friendly and I believed I had hired the right company. Unfortunately I naively let it go. MY BAD. The whole experience has been a DISASTER - the actual "disaster incident" is dwarfed by the one created by Regent. They've made it clear that they expect to be paid per the insurance invoice despite the fact that they advised the some work was unnecessary and therefore did not do that specific line item. When I asked them to address my concerns with the accuracy of their invoice, they responded with placing a Mechanics Lien on my house. To add insult to injury, they tried to convince me that the issue I have with a "cupping wood floor" that they replaced was not their responsibility. Their claim that I had a new leak that cuased the problem was not confirmed by two independent licensed plumbers. STAY AWAY. TELL YOUR FRIEND to STAY AWAY. read more

This company is terrible to work with. The day of our water leak they came out immediately. After they got our insurance info it was down hill from there. They never show up when they say they will. It took this company 5 weeks to replace hard wood floors. When we did the floors last time (1 year ago ) it took 2.5 days. The only time you ever hear from the " project manager " is when he wants you to contact your insurance company to try and suck more money out of them. Or when you call him. They didn't do any of the restoration work in house, it is all done with sub contractor ( who did great work considering they would only give enough money to the sub to have 1 sometimes 2 guys working in our house). They piled our furniture up in one room of the house to leave us to have to sit in the bed room to watch tv. We had to go out to eat every night because of all the dust that they stirred up and covered the kitchen and the rest of the house.They billed us for final cleaning but never cleaned. They tried to bill for over $900 of work they never did. I could go on forever, but I won't. It is bad enough to have a flood, but the flood was nothing compared to dealing with this company. I did give them one star but that was only because I couldn't figure out how to leave no star! Update* After working with Nicole and giving them a second chance we are happy. She sent out a different crew and got all the painting and final touch ups complete. She also fixed the final bill and even paid us for the final clean. This company is HORRIBLE. Don't waste your time. They are completely unresponsive and employees gave conflicting information about what their company even does. We've been running around in circles. They supposedly dried out our place but the tenant is complaining of a moldy smell so I'm not even sure if they took care of the problem. They also came out last week to do an assessment for restoration and here we are, 5 days later, and still no word or call back after we've contacted them several times. Super frustrating to say the least. Stay away. read more

They tried to get me to commit insurance fraud, after the claim got denied than after the free estimate, said I owe 4000 dollars and they lied to attorney and said I spent insurance check. There a joke and criminals. O and o Steven tore my house up after claimed got denied. read more

we had already moved out of our home and were about to sell it when we had a leak. they were quick to respond and get things started, the drying and tearing out... but when it came to the end part of restoration they gave us the run around day after day. they had very poor communication, I basically had to babysit and call to find out any information. most of the time I called multiple times a day with no call backs. the final straw was when they were caught lying to both our insurance company and us about the status of everything. the restoration could have been completed in less than a day but they sat on it for almost a week, trying to tell us they hadn't been out for final estimates when we knew and had proof they in fact had. this led me to dig deeper into this company and there are over a dozen complaints identical to ours. they start, then take their sweet time finishing and blame it on your insurance etc. save yourself the headache and find someone else. read more

When I had a water leak and my insurance company found out I was planning on using Regent, they tried very hard to talk me out of it, but wouldn't say why. Well, now I know why. They took four months instead of two weeks to get the work finished. About half way through, they insisted on payment in full, rather than waiting until the job was done. They included (and charged for) extras like HVAC servicing and cleaning, and duct cleaning, but never did the first and did the second so poorly that when I finally got sick of it and called in another HVAC company, the second company wrote me up for having dirty ducts.
