Definitely a lot of mixed emotions about this place, my mom and I did the private 30 minute tarot readings and had totally different experiences. I was paired with Dee and my mom was paired with Cynthia. Cynthia was spot on for my mom and pulled card about 6 or 7 times. My experience on the other hand was such a let down, a majority of the conversation was Dee regurgitating Google definitions of me and my boyfriend's zodiac signs and putting me in a box based off of that alone, she hardly read any cards or gave me any real messages, just generic advice I didn't ask for. Definitely depends on who you get, would totally go back and try a reading from Cynthia. read more

Used to be my reliable favorite. Last 3 visits Ive had, youre sitting with an old achy woman who wants to talk astrology and ask personal questions to give advice. Im not sure what happened here-- really lost the magic and helpful edge. Paid $52 for tarot card reading with jewelry combo. Got 25 minutes of repeated astrology talk on a topic I asked twice to move on from, and 2 card pulls. I asked in the session if we could redirect to the cards from astrology (monologue) and got a snippy off putting response. Gave me a jewelry read for 2 minutes. Ended up tipping 18%. If youre doing your homework to find a reputable card reader there are many other readers in the area, this isnt it. Used to be! read more

I have contacted RRs via phone for a tarot reading for years and benefited from most of them UNTIL today. Helen, I regret not getting a reading from you! And I really regret my reading with D. I felt more brow beaten rather than listened to. I was more shaken and confused after this reading then I was before calling. It's not because I wasn't told what I wanted to hear. The reading was very brusque and in no way reflected the wisdom, patience, or wise counsel OF THE CARDS. I was lectured. And I really think it's highly inappropriate for the reader to insert their lives into your reading. She actually had the nerve to tell me I wish I were in your shoes. This woman has absolutely no idea what my life has been like and what I have gone through. If she were really good at reading the cards she would have been able to glean the cards nuance and grace and real insight to what is happening and what has happened. These people used to be good. They aren't anymore. Frankly, all I've gotten out of this last experience is the realization to stop relying on tarot cards readings. I'm going to start relying on my better judgement from now on. My advice to you is don't waste your good money on this complete nonsense. And if you have your own deck of tarot cards let spirit reveal itself through them. I'm done with this stuff. I came here years ago & had the BEST experience, the lady i had was able to mention things only I would've known & that were so wildly spot on, i was truly impressed & left there beyond satisfied. I decided to go back & this time was paired with a woman who did a tarot card reading as well as a 15 minute "spirit reading". The tarot card reading was ok didn't really get too much out of it. But the spirit reading was where I was completely disappointed. The woman started pulling out cards with crystals & mentioned how this was her way of contacting spirits. After 2 unlucky tries of pulling any crystals relevant to anyone in my life she asked if i knew anyone who passed who was an Aries, i said no but that my grandmother was born in early March yet she was convinced it was her. She then asked me if i wanted to ask my "grandmother" a question which i declined seeing i was already disappointed at this point & i even told her I wasn't aware prior that she was going to be doing a spirit reading by pulling cards from a deck. She chalked it up to a lot of times spirits don't come thru for younger people. Edit: I was harassed by Richard, a psychic at Regina Russell's Tea room for my review. My mother and I have spent hundreds of dollars here over the past year and I get threatened with "legal action" for the way I described the psychic (since I didn't remember his name at the time)? No thanks. Old review: This. place. is. the. CUTEST. So you walk in, and they sit you down at a little table. Then, like a little waitress, a lady will ask you if you want some tea, hot chocolate, coffee, lemonade, or something else to drink (all free). Instead of a menu of food, you get a menu of psychic reading options and descriptions. I went with my mom and got a 15 minute spirit reading and a 60 minute "combo" which included tarot and a palm reading. I got two different people. One did my spirit reading and she was spot-on at times, and very off at other times. Luckily, I got a new lady for my hour tarot & palm reading. I had Theresa and she was really good. She was very accurate and positive which was nice and I left with a good feeling. I'm a huge skeptic, so that's saying a lot. My mom on the other hand, wasn't all that pleased with her reading from Richard, her psychic. She actually wanted to go back and pay for a new reading the minute that we left. However, on the ride home, we listened to the recording of her session (she recorded it on her iPhone) and found it really wasn't as off as she had originally thought. He did, however, tell her that my brother (who is both blind and handicapped) would be heading off to college and would be big into college sports. Unlikely. So I guess you could say it's hit or miss, but it's pretty cheap ($30 for half an hour I think, or you can do 15 minutes which I think was $20), and you get free drinks and a glimpse into this house that is totally set up like a brothel. If you're a first timer or skeptical don't be , upon entering the receptionist will greet you take you to your seat ask what would you like to drink free of charge. Read through the menu and see what kind of package you would like, so far I've done the 15 min my reader was spot on to the point where I returned for a second reading 30 minutes. Yes I understand not everyone's readings are spot on but maybe next time kindly ask the receptionist to give you their best physic they have yo u'll be surprised! At the end of every reading apon checking out they will give you a punch card , dont lose it keep it every 12 stamps you will receive $22 OFF a reading of your choice. Regina's Tea Room is not a spooky version of the Munster's living room with dusty shawls covering dim lamps and suspicious glassware masquerading as crystal balls. Regina's is not a darkened cavern with ghostly sounds seemingly rising from the bowels of the building. Regina's IS a well-lit home with rays of sunlight peeking through the windows and casting blobs of color across the round cafe tables and chairs where customers sip lemonade and tea as they peruse the "menu" of a multitude of services offered since 1973. The atmosphere is calm and soothing. The building is an old home with a kitchen and a bathroom that even houses a tub, very cool vibe. There is a short wait and then you are introduced to your reader. My sister and I each had a 15 minute private Spirit Reading (as we are known nuts who can laugh or cry at the drop of a Red Sox baseball cap) and I can only say that our recent spate of sad events came to the surface in each of our private readings with no prompting from either of us. Details of certain messages designated for us from the departed were received and discussed. As folks who have employed psychics before, each of us had a interesting and on point experience - again - without prompting the readers. Our readers were both enthusiastic about their jobs and our lives. Great customer service in every way. Folks, be realistic. A psychic or card reading is what you allow it to be. If you close yourself off and "dare' the reader to tell you something, you've wasted his or her time and your money. My daughter and I had extra time so we thought it would be fun to get readings. The place was empty and all the readers were sitting in the back room. First a woman named Cathy came out, she had no psychic ability, let's say she wasn't clicking. So we asked for another reader. The second woman was named Kim she is very large and smelled like cigarettes. She asked me to move to a different table. Then she practically took my head off. She was terribly nasty. She leaned into my face and was practically yelling at me. She didn't say anything Pyschic, she was just scary and mean. I had to coax her along as she was constantly stumbling and at a loss for words (or direction from the universe, or whatever). I've been coming here for years. I've brought in a lot of friends who've for the most part had good experiences as well. There was only one time that my sister was getting a vague/weird reading from this guy that we asked to stop the session and they did and got us someone else that was much better. It was a little awkward but its a rule they have. If after 2-3 minutes you're not feeling it you can switch. They offer to record sessions for a fee but they offer pen and paper for free if you want to take notes, which I recommend. Its a fun place to go. Its not too expensive and I almost always get a bit of information to chew on. The 15 minute combo is my favorite. You get a reading and then something else, astrology or palm readings I like best. The crystal ball although cool seeming didn't turn up anything very important. I did a past life regression once. They have to hypnotize you for the session. When I was hypnotized I didn't feel like I was very deeply under but the past life we talked about was very useful to know about and it was worth it. I've since moved away but my friends and I still try to get together and go on birthdays and stuff. I do tarot myself but sometimes you need an outsider's view of what is going on. read more

I had a 15 minute private tarot card reading and it was kind of uneventful. The reader didn't seem have any sort of special intuitive or psychic abilities. She knew the meanings of the cards and how they fit together in a reading but I didn't get any information I didn't already know. One thing in particular that bothered me is that my reader didn't use reverse cards. When I shuffled them, I did so to guarantee some reversed cards because I think they're incredibly important in a reading. That was a bit frustrating. She didn't ask what I was there to learn, she just started reading the cards. When she saw the five of pentagrams she said something to the effect that I have money problems. I said no. She said the person that card represents has had money problems. Ok. Sure. I don't know this person well enough to know if he has or has not ever had money problems. In the end, she gave me an ok reading that was somewhat accurate if you turn your head and look at it the right way but she was dead wrong on the biggest point of all. I was trying figure out if I should quit my job or not and she explicitly said "No" when I asked her at the end of the reading. Today I had a phone reading with Helen. She has read for me off and on for several years now. When I call a psychic I am looking for enlightenment , and some intuitive foreseeing. I found that Helen lacks some connection on the intuitive side. She gave general answers and when I ask her a question in regards to my sister she came back at me with a question as though I was not telling the truth. My father took me to Regina Russell's Tea room in January 2004. He always went at the start of the New Year and would write down their predictions and see how many were right at the end of the year. I went along and got a reading. I was 23 at the time. The lady told me 'You are going to meet the love of your life this year.' Of course I thought this was fantastic. She then says 'He will have green eyes. He will be from another country and be older than you. I see him working in the construction field. He already has children. You'll have 2 girls very soon and then you will have a boy a long time later.' I went home and told my Mom 'Nice, I'm going to marry some old foreign guy who has kids already.' And I was determined not to let this come true. After all, I was only in my early 20's. In July 2004, I met my now husband. Five years older, green eyes, bricklayer, has 2 children. I first had a tarot card reading by one of the Regina Russell mediums at a private event. A friend of mine is a medium, so I was curious as to what would come up with the cards. I was amazed at names she was pulling out and really had an incredible reading. The first thing I did was plan a date for my mom and I to visit the tea room. They take walkins but you can make a reservation if there is someone in particular that you want to see. Occasionally you don't connect with someone so my mom and I went to two different sessions each. Our first reading was together which I wouldn't recommend because sometimes the information bleeds between. We experienced much direct and better readings separately and can't wait to go back. Not impressed. I just got back from my tarot card reading and tea leaf reading. The lady seemed to know what the cards meant, but most of the cards made no sense. Some things were spot on, but most things were not accurate. Maybe it was just the reader I had, but she was just saying a-typical things like "you're a determined person. Finally a younger lady sat down, but 10 second into the reading, I already had to ask for a different person. This time was a lady in her 50s. I really hate bad reviews but this was a waste of time and money. The guy I had on my phone reading seemed confused and disorganized. He tried guessing a few things that were incorrect - in which he gave up and just gave me motivational speeches. It was really awful. I got absolutely nothing out of that conversation.
