Special pet scan with contrast and special drink I had to drink the day before I was never given all the instructions found out a few days before I had to go get the serum I had to drink, which was 45 minutes away People at the facility were very friendly but when I got the test results, I don't think they spent more than 5 to 10 minutes. It was literally a few sentences on what should've been a full body very detailed report. read more

Never go there as a walk-in. I was told wait was an hour. I was in pain and didn't want to go again. Three hours later still waiting. After two hours I asked, and counter girl said I was next. Six people later still waiting. Employee came from back and told counter girl she wasn't talking walk-ins. If you can't handle walk-ins fine. Don't lie about it. read more

I'm writing this strictly with regard to the online payment; they don't provide you with the full amount you'll be charged when you pay, and when the subtotal comes up. There is no warning that you'll be charged $10 to use a credit card until AFTER the payment is submitted. Had I know they'd charge that much, which is much higher than a standard 2-3%, I would have paid using my account. I get covering their fee, but you need to make money on the use of cards? What a racket, stay away from these snakes. read more

This was supposed to be a one star review that only a superhero could rescue, but Dr. Hicks did it. It really restores you when someone steps in to try to undo the damage caused by another. I don't want to get into the messy details, but I had a distressing experience and didn't want to go back. RMI contacted me and resolved it to my satisfaction. Other RMI staff who heard were sympathetic and caring as well. I'm a believer in second chances when earned. I was warned that hospitals charge beaucoup bucks for imaging and procedures and found RMI to be roughly 80% cheaper. They also accept insurance, but their cash pay (time of service) pricing is a phenomenal alternative. You can see a list of upfront cash pay estimates on their website. They have 9 locations (most of which are in/near Genesee and Oakland county). I know someone with ultra expensive insurance who had a hospital procedure and still paid 5x more out of pocket compared to RMI. They were amazed and said they will check out RMI in the future. My procedure was done professionally and they even sent me home with a rose. It was a kind gesture and a nice touch. Everyone's situation is different, but this worked out well for me. read more

Went in for 2 simple x-rays. The radiology tech asked me a lot of general health questions, many of which she repeated because she was only working from a prompting sheet and not really listening to my answers. We finally got through the redundant questions and began my actual x-rays. She had to give me 5 or 6 (I was growing increasingly angry so wasn't counting) pelvic x-rays in order to get 2 good ones. She continually set the machine in a way that it was not taking a "photo" of the correct doctor requested view. When I asked the tech how many tries and wasted x-rays it would take her in order to get the 2 views that my doctor had requested she told me that quality was more important than quantity!! :( I repeated the fact that I was increasingly concerned about the level of radiation I was taking needlessly. That concern of mine also went nowhere. This behavior and mindset from Lennon Rd., Flint, MI. RMI staff is totally unacceptable. None of my family members nor myself will return to this organization for future tests of any kind. read more

Had a scheduled MRI on a Saturday morning. Giving 5 stars to the professional, warm and kind staff -- from the front reception and check in to the nurse and MRI operator. Jennifer started my IV and she was great. I have difficult veins and she made it painless and stress-free. Todd, throughout the procedure, kept me informed in such a kind manner, it was exceptional. Both of them are real assets to RMI. The ladies in the front were professional and nice as well. read more

I had my mediport placed with Steve at RMI and after having cancer for over a year now it has been my worst experience thus far. After discovering that the catheter to my port was too long and had found its way into my heart, I was sent back to RMI to have it taken out shortened and put back in. During the procedure Steve did not seem concerned but rather annoyed that he was asked to fix the problem. As I continue chemotherapy my mediport continues to cause more and more problems because of where it was placed as well. I would NEVER recommend Regional Medical Imaging and I won't be going back to have my mediport removed. read more
