If I could give this practice 0 stars, I would…read more I went to this dermatologist with a spot on my foot that the doctor diagnosed as a wart and treated by freezing it. About six months later, I returned because it was still there, and the same doctor again said it was a wart and froze it a second time. No biopsy! Six months after that, the spot came back much worse. I decided to see a podiatrist, who removed it and sent it for pathology. The results came back as melanoma, and by that time it had spread to my lymph nodes. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this dermatologist. I trusted the repeated diagnosis, and I wish my concerns had been investigated further with a biopsy instead of treating it as a wart multiple times. If you have a persistent skin lesion that isn't responding to treatment, I encourage you to advocate for yourself and ask about additional testing.

When I saw the doctor at Hill Rd, he seemed unimpressed by the so-called cyst. He then asked what my doctor wanted to be done, and I said removal, so he proceeded to refer me for an ultrasound so he could see it to see what kind of removal and what was involved before proceeding. I noted his reaction, and did not immediately go to get an ultrasound because something didn't seem right. In the ensuing days, I felt the corresponding part on the opposite side, only to find there was the same anatomical "deformity" there. In other words, it was literally an anatomical structure that was normal. I go to a SPECIALIST for him to use his knowledge and skills in his area of expertise to determine what needs to be done, not to have him simply please my PCP with whatever the PCP wants. I'm glad I listened to my gut and was my own advocate. It saved me unnecessary expenses and procedures. I can't trust these people again.

First off - let me start off by saying I never met once Dr. Karlene. I've been to this place 4…read moretimes just this YEAR, each time I waited at least an hour to be seen except for one time (which was 45 minutes). The first time I was seen, I waited OVER an hour just to be called back. My appointment time was 4:30 -- I didn't leave that office until 7pm and they close at 6!!! I wasn't called back until almost 6pm. The scheduling is horrible. I specifically asked them what appt time is best for not having to wait hours to be seen.. I was told after lunch at 1... I was just there yesterday for an appointment at 1:15 -- wasn't called back till after 2 and the lobby was full of about 8 other people waiting. Let's not forget the sewage smell from the plumbing that happened as well while I was there. It smelled like ripped A**! I had to spray my perfume before an PA assistant came out with Febreeze and explained what was going on - it was their sinks.. gross.. I had 2 tests for fungus and which the assistant could "swear on her life it's fungus" and yet the test came back as "trauma and shoes"???? That makes NO sense. I work from home.. I barely wear shoes... then they did a biopsy on me in which came back "allergies" -- yet they couldn't explain what I'm allergic too or why I'm not getting any better and I've seen them 4 times now. Then they had the nerve to ask me to call when another "bite" comes up, don't itch it, and they'd do another biopsy. For what? A no answer result? I don't need to be cut open and sewed again for no answers. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE. The PAs do not know what they are doing. I'm going back to my old dermatologist, it's a drive but it's worth it. The only positive review I have is for the assistant - she's blonde and young. She did the MOST there. Thank you for being the only good part of that office. UPDATE: I went to my old dermatologist - it is indeed fungus that I have, and it is so far deep that no amount of "anti fungal" OTC nail gel would work (this ridiculous office advised kerasal which I've been using for months and it's worse). I was prescribed a strong lamisil oral medication which will take 6 months to fully grow out and heal. The other diagnosis which was allergies? Lichen Planus. I was prescribed a cream and within literally TWO uses -- I'm already seeing results. Also, they did a scrape biopsy instead of a "punch hole" biopsy and I'd recommend that, as the one performed on me in this office left a horrible scar.

She put some type of jail on my face which is I've never got that done before but long story short, the results did not work and when I called to kind of let them know to see if I could come in maybe for a touchup or something like that she told me that that's not something that they could do. She also told me that I needed to wait weeks to be able to see, but I get laser often so that's something that I already knew and she just was not trying to compensate me as well at all with anything not even a visit to see if if it's something that they could've did better so I don't recommend coming to this place. Despite hours and hours of my time on the phone over 4 phone calls to fix the issue, Pinnacle says "it's under review" but still does not recognize the insurer payments or EOBs and will not even allow me to send them the EOBs (I have copies and offered 4 times to send them in case they can't find them). They continue to send me harassing invoices claiming I owe amounts I don't owe because they were reduced by my insurer and FULLY paid by my insurer. It's absolutely ridiculous.
