It's a nice little store, devoted to kitchen and cooking supplies, some barware, and the service is always friendly, I just don't see where the demand is, for this location. Like, lemme go to the Boardwalk, so I can pick up that spatula, I've been needing to get...I did buy a really cool ring here one time, that also allows me to pop beer bottles open, as I wear it. So, there's that. I guess.

Don't buy hardwood at Red River Lumber, they don't calculate board feet correctly and they will…read moreshort you! I had to keep going back on my kitchen build because every time my order was short. On my last trip I bought 1 board and at the widest point was 6.5" and was 10' long 7/8" thick They charged me for 6.5 board feet They said that they add a 1" to the widest point and calculate it at 1" thick (7.5x10x1)/12=6.25 that's still less than what they charged me for In the real world it would be an average of the width times length times thickness divided by 12 (5.79x10x0.875)/12=4.22 I don't think I should be charged for wood that isn't there!

Attn: DIY folks and contractors…read more Do not think you will always get a superior lumber product at Red River than what you will find at Lowes and Home Depot. In my opinion It's the same quality or maybe even worse when you consider the price. At age 70 it is getting a bit hard for me to cull through the bins at the big box stores but at least I know what I have when I leave there. The convenience of having Red River pull and load your lumber for you is exceeded by the disappointment you may experience when you get home and find out what you received. I won't make the same mistake again. Update..returned all material and they made it right. I would still caution customers to supervise and inspect loading to avoid any inconvenience.
