I was almost ready to order one through the mail that would have come from Canada called a Volte ebike and Steve was just so informative that I decided to drive over to Council Bluffs and talk to him about making me a bike. He gave me a great deal with a fair price. I got to say that he really knows his stuff. It took a little longer than I had expected for him to build it but only by a couple days. When I got there to pick up the bike he was making these meticulous fine tuning adjustments to assure that everything was in Tip-Top order. Since getting the bike 3 days ago, ive rode this ebike everyday, and have only needed to charge the battery the first night I brought it home. I think there is still 70 % on the battery. The funny thing is I have ridden a few e bikes in the past and I've never rode one as powerful as the one he built. I'm not saying it was cheap but this is truly the Cadillac of e-bikes. Every time I was in the shop I had seen many people come in and go out all of them seeming to have a great relationship with these guys that run to shop. They do know their stuff and I'm glad I accidentally stumbled into them.

Additionally, we were treated rather poorly by employees working there while trying to resolve the issue. We finally spoke with the owner, and he did his best to resolve the issues. it did require bringing the bike back in, and having all of the work redone. we were supposed to get the bike back on thursday, but only just got it back now on saturday because they werebusy, and we were delayed. Very happy to have the trike back, and the work is outstanding. I only wish we had been able to deal with the owner from the get go.

They refused…read moreto honor the warranty, even after the manufacturer (Specialized) reached out to them directly, confirmed the issue, and issued a credit to them for a simple chain replacement that would have resolved the problem. When Specialized explicitly told them it was a malfunction with the bike, the shop still blamed it on 'how I rode it' and did nothing to make it right. Unfortunately, they seem more interested in being right than doing the correct thing for their customers. I wouldn't recommend buying here if you expect reliable service and warranty support.

After a few weeks not hearing from them I drove up to the shop and I was told that they could not find the source of the issue and that it would take a full disassembly and substantially more time due to staffing issues. I took my bike in for routine maintenance and got back a bike with potentially a major issue. I know this industry, its been as vital to my exsistance as the oxygen that I breath. I understand the complexities that are inherent of having a competent staff however, this business is centered towards elite and professional athletes that are sharply attuned to their equipment. The suggestion to re- evaluate the issue was an absurd suggestion after having my bike for almost a full month. I shopped one of the big shops in Omaha and they showed me exactly what I asked to look at, but didn't take the time to probe and discover was I searching for the "right" bike. Todd showed me what I asked for, but continued the conversation and suggested a style I didn't know existed, which was the perfect fit. The "small town" shop taking time to get to know the customer and their needs saved me from purchasing a bike that would not have been the "perfect" bike. I'm 5'5", which in the world of bikes puts me between between 24 & 26" wheel and usually a small frame, but at my height that can vary too. I have a 10 year old Cannondale & a 31 yr old Specialized Hard Rock but after a work injury, I struggled to throw my leg over lean on my hands. The Pedego team spent hours with me first learning to get comfortable with the heavier and then helping me find the perfect fit, a white Pedego Commuter which allows me to sit upright and travel 70 miles on one charge. I am elated w my purchase. Do to the nature of my injuries I remain leery of long rides as they involve issues with cervical neuropathy & radicular pain. The City Commuter allows a variety of sitting & leaning positions with the handle bars, promising the most comfortable ride. If I am too far from home and pain sets in.
