At that point I was told they hadn't done all the x-rays they needed to and could I get the old ones from my old dentist. Say what? They didn't do what they were supposed to, never got back to me and I have to do the legwork to resolve it! Although I asked twice why the x-rays weren't taking, they refused to answer. Basically, they dropped the ball, blew off their commitment to follow up and now tell me they can't do anything unless I get the x-rays they neglected to take. Well, I can do something and have: I can get a new dentist.

All of the hygienists are very friendly and competent, but I personally use Kristin Zawodniak and Pam Poppe. The practice has just added a new dentist, Dr. Nagy, who also seems to be very good. I recently needed a replacement filling and he performed the work quickly and painlessly. I've referred several people to this practice and I highly recommend it.

They explained the costs, which would be between $2000 and $3000 if I decided to continue treatment. I did schedule a second visit two weeks out, but called the office the following day to cancel, because of the expense. I visited two other dental offices that deal with TMJD; neither charged for the consultation, one even did a complete set of X rays. A couple months later I received a bill for $540 for the X-rays which were taken at the initial consultation. I had never been told that the X-rays would be a charge beyond the $180 fee. Numerous calls and letters to the office fell on unsympathetic ears. Other dentists have told me that their bills for X-rays never exceed $50. I feel this charge is unfair, was unexplained and is exorbitant and now Mitakides threatens to damage my credit history.

This made eating very difficult and painful. My dentist recommended dr Monga at this location. Tmj is expensive and difficult to try and fix. Medical and dental insurance dont cover it. So it was thousands of dollars. Needed physical therapy. If tmj is your issue highly recommend insisting on Chris for therapy. I tried several other therapists and the only one id recommend is Chris. After alot of time and money my tmj is finally much better. Nice to be able to occasionally eat popcorn or steak. Great to not have daily pain. Dr monga was very kind. Really liked her.
