I stopped here during a family camping trip and absolutely loved this bookstore. Exploring local/independent bookstores is part of every trip itinerary I make to a new town, so I've seen many bookstores (mostly in the PNW). This was immediately a top favorite. I usually have to scavenge to find books written by Latinas and Women of Color authors. Not here! Every genre in fiction and non-fiction had books by Women of Color displayed. It was a beautiful sight to see. I also thoroughly enjoyed browsing through the stationary, totes, stickers, trinkets, and gift sets. The only thing I was sad about was that the coffee station was closed during this visit (it was a Sunday). I'll have to come back!

This bookstore feels like it's home. There's cozy corners for curling up to read a book, and there's a coffee shop! You'll definitely find some gems you've been looking for and some you didn't know about. The owners were lovely, and you can feel the passion that they have for the store. They were super helpful, and my friend and i found exactly what we needed. I will definitely be back here the next time I'm in Lake Arrowhead! It is a must visit!

    Front cozy room.

Having fantasies about curling up with a book at a cozy little bookstore in the woods? Well you can turn that dream into a reality at Reigning Pages bookstore! They have an amazing selection and so many places you can sink into and read. This is literally just about the cutest bookstore ever!

This place is heaven for book lovers. The design is so thoughtfully laid out with different sections. There are cozy couches to read and a coffee shop in the back. The owner was so sweet and helpful. I could spend all day here! Definitely will be back.

Parking is available across the street near the goodwill or if you can get a spot on the street. We came in and there were piles of books next to the bookshelves. The sections aren't completely labeled, but if you read enough, you can see what category the bookkeeper has placed the books in. There isn't a certain order (alphabetically or anything). You go in and you peruse what is available . The bookseller is also hanging out in the front and will let you look at the front room or the back room. We saw the children's section, science, graphic novels, AAPI, and fantasy. Their romance was scattered around the store. I did end up leaving with a book purchase. I will say it's hard to look at everything because the lights were also flickering, although there is sunlight coming in. It was quite overwhelming to look at books. Overall the prices were cheaper than a bookstore chain. It's very nice to see these stores still operating. I'd choose this over a chain any day.

Instead of simply telling me he didn't have it, he took the time to recommend several websites where I could find the book at a very reasonable price. Thanks to his guidance, I found exactly what I was looking for, and the deal was so good that I ended up ordering two books. Gene Berkman and Jayne Hanson clearly care about their customers and have a genuine passion for books. Their knowledge, friendliness, and willingness to help make this shop a true gem in Riverside. I highly recommend Renaissance Bookshop to anyone looking for books, music, movies, and outstanding customer service.

There's usually always one or two kitties in the mood for either playing or being pet. You get kinda attached to some of them, but they're also up for adoption so they might not be there the next time you go. They do have some resident kitties though - Sugar is very sweet and not up for adoption. She'll always let you pet her. Staff is kind and will answer any questions about the kitties. I always ask if there's a lot of children or too many people when I go, and they'll let me know if there's too many. I just want to relax with the kitties and my book and it can be a bit noisy and distracting when it's a bit full. I'll usually go to Cafe Caprice around the corner for an hour and then come back for quieter kitty time. They also have cute local art up for sale around where you play with the kitties and it's nice to look at. I usually just grab a soda when I go there as I've already had my tea/coffee for the day, but would love it if they got their beer and wine license. I would totes have multiple glasses of wine whilst chilling with the kitties if they did that (the cat cafe I frequented in Charlotte had it). Overall, fun place to pet some kitties and get away from your problems for a bit.

Oh wow...just like another reviewer said, these are the BEST baklava I've ever had! These are packaged so nicely, they would make a nice gift too. The closest grocery store was mountain high market and though I was grateful not to have to drive to Lake Arrowhead and back I was disappointed in the high prices and mostly canned and frozen food. Despite the lack of choices, the service here was AMAZING which I have never seen at a grocery store. The couple who ran it offered homemade baklava (which was literally the best I've ever had) and even helped me take my bags to my car IN THE RAIN! Talk about going above and beyond! Also even though the prices were high and the food selection was small it was the best option in the area and the $180 spent on groceries paid for 4 meals plus snacks for 5 people which was a much better alternative than going out for every meal.
