My sister and I had intended to just grab a coffee, but were pleasantly surprised when we happened upon this book store. It is so cute and artistic, the smell alone walking in had my book heart SOARING. The prices were so reasonable, the woman working the front desk (wish I remembered her name) was kind and helpful. She also let us know we could bring books to sell for $1 each or we could use it as store credit! If you're in the area, I highly recommend stopping in for a great book and great company. read more

As someone who love books, finding this used bookstore made me very excited and brought up fond memories of shopping at used bookstores with my mom as a teen. Upon pulling up in front of the bookstore, I noticed two rolling carts of books as well as a bin of feee books. When I entered the store, I was warmly welcomed by employee Carol. I let Carol know that I wanted to sell some books I no longer wanted. Since Carol was ringing up a customer's purchase, she told me that she'd be happy to answer my questions when she was done. After she completed the customer's purchase, she informed me that for every book I brought in, I would receive $.50 to $1.00 of book. After receiving book credit for the books I bring in, the book credit is used to help offset the overall price for the whole book purchase. An good example of this is that if I bought $20 in books and had $10 in book credit, I would end up paying half. In order to track my book credit statuses, Carol quickly creates a book credit record by getting my first and last name then writing to amount of book credit earned was and used to track how much book credit I have remaining. The store is small yet packs a big punch since fiction and nonfiction books are organized by genre followed by titles being alphabetized by the authors last name then alphabetized by title. My favorite sections of the used bookstore the erotic romance section and the African American history section. I especially appreciated that there were chairs available throughout the store so customers can sit while looking at books on lower shelves As I walked through the bookstore, I was unexpected surprised to see cds, dvds for sale as well as Spanish and Asian novels. Although the bookstore is cramped in some areas and I felt it was a little too hot inside the store, if you like used bookstores, you should definitely make a visit. read more

A true gem and a treasure in town! The owner is an absolute sweetheart and my family love's everything about this place. So many options but we mainly love the kids book selection. Our baby is still very small so we love to get used books for him that we don't have to worry too much about him damaging. Outside you can find great deals on the shelves and if you're lucky the FREE book box will be nice and full. We just love everything about this place!! Side note- store hours might not always be accurate but if you're familiar with Yucaipa most stores are like that in the uptown area. Almost everything is closed on Sunday and Monday. This bookstore is incredible and packed full of just about any book you could ever want! I was able to stock up on a box FULL of children's classics. I cannot wait to read these books with my kiddos and experience a lot of them for the first time myself!! We have gone in several times and every time we are treated with warmth and kindness. We love visiting this book store! The books are well priced and you get great value from your purchase. They are always ready to help and willing to help you find your next great read. I've sent my ten yr old in by himself and they treat him so well. They encourage him and treat him like a mini-adult. Went here for the first time today and was shocked at how many books there were. The lady that runs it was super friendly and helpful. I purchased 6 books and was happy with the price. The books are half off the original price, which is great, especially if you read quickly and don't want to pay full price at bigger stores. If you bring in books, she will give you .50 to $1.00 in store credit depending on the book. Seems a little low to me but at least you can return books you've read and have some money towards something else. Overall, it was a great store and I will definitely go back. read more

I was looking for a gently used bookstore to take my niece to for her read-a-thin for school. They have a large selection of books! The children's book section was wonderful. Awesome bookstore, with a huge selection at a low cost. No more Big box store for me! I love to read and recycle my books. You can bring in books you've already read for store credit! The selection is enormous, great finds, magazines, vintage books, college textbooks, etc. Definitely worth a visit to peruse the aisles. Staff is also friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. If you have kids, they also have a great section, AND, you can bring in any books they already outgrew for store credit. read more

this is my absolute favorite book store. let me start by saying the prices are unbelievable. but it's more than that-it's the atmosphere. from the moment you walk through the door you feel transported. whether it be the smell of books *sigh*, or the magic of what lies in the pages... simply put, the selection is outrageous. the woman I believe to be the owner is just the sweetest-always happy to share any information she has on the books you seek, making suggestions and, pointing out the value in every book purchased. my only complaint, i've never left with less than 4 books in hand and simply can not read fast enough! read more
