What a totally different experience, and I loved every minute of it. This is not your typical…read moremassage where the masseuse is asking you if there is a specific area they should be focusing on. It is more of a pumping and gentle pushing motion. This technique has a purpose which is to get your lymph nodes to drain. You are almost lulled into a slumber lying on the heated table. There is relaxing music playing, there are breath exercises to do and the room itself has a special ambient feel. After my hour was up, I was totally in a relaxed state and felt a sense of calm. It would have been nice to just lie there and take a nap. Of course, duty calls. My experience almost thirty minutes later included itching all over my body. I also noticed that my stomach went down; no longer bloated. I did a bit of research and found that a good lymphatic drainage massage causes one to itch as a way of increased blood flow and detoxification. Well, alright. Let's give the body what it needs.

The place was very clean, everyone was very pleasant and I felt a sense of trust and peace, which is very important when dealing with any healing you undertake. When I tell you my first session with Jennifer and her assistant felt like an energy block was literally pulled away from my body. I was overcome with emotion and could literally feel the energy moving from head to toe. I went home that day and felt drained, but knew I had to finish my treatment. I have no idea how long i was on the table (with an Amethyst Heating Pad for healing and comfort) - but when i got off the table, my back felt quite a bit better. Kristy shared with me some of the things she was able to intuit through Reiki about where i was blocked and a special message about my feet.
