So I'm not sure what I was expecting. I had read about the procedure, but still didn't quite believe it could do what it said. Baaaaaby was I WRONG! The sitting room is nice and comfortable. I waited a few minutes while my room was cleaned and was escorted in. Gave me instructions and I put on my gown. Im not THAT shy, so I let them put the tube in, and I instantly felt like I had to go lol, and wanted privacy. She showed me how to use the massage gun, put a warming pad on my stomach and off we went. I didn't really want to look down, but when I did lol. It was painful in the beginning, I had to pass some bigger things, but once I did, it was actually quite soothing. I went to check out and instantly had to rush to the bathroom! Lol. I purchased a 3 session package in 2020 I had 1 session done and was deployed. I kept in contact with them for my follow up appointments for the next time I was in San Diego. At the time I purchased the package nor at any time of communicating with them was I told there was an expiration on the packs that I already prepaid for. Today I came in and was told they have a new policy and couldn't use my last 2 sessions as they are a small business, I don't know what being a small business has to do with it when I have already paid my money in full. I just had a colonic here today and Sara helped me through the entire process. I have had one before, but it has been several years. As she explained to me, a lot has changed since my first experience. I remember that the therapist stayed in the room the whole time last time and performed the colonic herself, which was fairly embarrassing and why I had not been back for this long. I was surprised to find out that there are now new "machines" (beds) that allow the patient to do the colonic themselves - wow! So, if you are afraid of going for privacy reasons, this has almost eliminated any uncomfortableness that once existed. There is a digital bell that rings Sara at any time you need her for a question. I took advantage of that bell once when I was cramping in the middle of the session and she came into the room immediately to explain that is normal for someone who might be as "backed up" as I was. She provided a massager and additional instructions on how to take a break on the machine during the 45 minute timed session and that helped. I was covered the whole time and it was very easy to prep, administer, pause, and end my own session while watching a Netflix movie. It is also evident that they take sanitation seriously there and that made me feel extra comfortable, as well. If you are considering a colonic, I suggest trying Relax for sure - I even bought another 3 sessions and look forward to "cleaning out" even more. :) read more

My sister and I decided to get a colonic, after she looked at a couple of places on Groupon and looked at several sources for reviews. We decided to purchase the Groupon from Relax Colon Hydro-Therapy, as I typically suck at adulating I'm trying to take care of my body a bit more in 2019. Scheduling the appointment was super easy as I just had to call the establishment. I informed the person that answered the phone that I purchased a Groupon and wanted to book an appointment. Several days before my appointment I received an appointment reminder text message from "Loretta". They day before my appointment I received another text message informing me that there was a earlier appointment available and I took it. Upon walking into the establishment, I received a warm welcome from Loretta. The décor of the shop was so nice and her blue velvet couches are to die for. There is also water, coffee and tea available for you while you wait. Loretta was very knowledgeable and asked if this was my first time. I informed her that it was and she wanted to make my experience as comfortable as possible. Lorretta gave me a tour of the facility and explained the two different ways one could receive a colonic e.g: open system versus closed system. I opted for the open system so I could see the "toxins" that my body was expelling to put it politely. Lorretta also took the time out to go over the health information that I filled out. As I have high blood pressure Lorretta went into great detail about how regular colonics could assist with bringing BP down. Loretta explained how stress can effect the colon which can lead to one becoming impacted. While talking with Loretta she also felt around on my stomach and noted that I was a bit bloated. I had a very delightful experience and Loretta made me feel me feel so comfortable, she would come in and check on me every 5-10 minutes to make sure everything was okay. Loretta also stayed with me to ensure that my first elimination was successful and to make sure I knew how to operate the machine. There is total privacy as you're covered with a gown. Once you're done, there is a rinse attachment (you can use to hose yourself down), wipes and paper towels to refresh yourself with. After your colonic Loretta waits for you at the front desk, where she has a green super food juice to waiting for you. The green superfood juice will assist in replacing the helpful bacteria. If you're looking for a colonic, I would definitely recommend this business; especially if you're looking for an environment that has positive vibes and a judge free zone. I wish I could give 0.. this was a terrible experience. First, I scheduled an appt the night before for 8am the next morning. I wanted to get there a little early cause I had questions, the website said they open at 7 and there was a 7am appt available as well, so I showed up 730 for my 8am. Door locked, lights off, sign said closed. I called and someone said they open at 10 because her house is far and to come back at 10.... I had the day off and not much planned so I wasn't glad but I came back at 10am. I did my paperwork and the process was explained to me with another customer, and the instructions were not very clear. She did help me get set up, but during the beginning I immediately felt water on my backside. I started to panic a little from it and to try and get up, to which she insisted to trust her because she does this for work and that there was no water and to just lay down. I was not very comfortable during the whole service, and especially whenever they came in to check on me the door would open and I was visible to anyone in the waiting room.. they boasted that this method is better because you can lose much more waste, but I did not notice I was releasing much at all, and i could hear the client in the next room telling them the same thing when they went in to check on her (paper thin walls). When I was done my whole lower back was wet just as I had tried telling her. I had scheduled for a second service which luckily she forgot about. Once I was done I paid and got out of there as quickly as I could. This was my second colonic, and a nightmare compared to my first one. This method allowed for privacy as you are alone and "in control", but my first experience at East County Colonic was much nicer because the therapist sat with you, talked you through and explained what was happening, listened to whatever you were feeling, helped make adjustments for comfort and offered lots of knowledge on the body and process. I wanted to try around different places, which is why I tried Relax colonics, they had nice reviews - but I did see 2 other reviews with the exact same experiences as me, which is unfortunate.
